'Hello Cynthia, do you recognize us? It's me, your mother, this is your dad and this is Doctor Sandy. Can you remember any of us?'
Cynthia shook her head, clearly indicating no. Tears in Rosemary Graciano were already streaming down her cheeks, unable to accommodate the reaction from Cynthia.
'Let's not come to that conclusion yet. Viviana, help serve some food to Cynthia while I go chat with these two outside.' Doctor Sandy instructed.
Rosemary kissed Cynthia on the forehead, 'I love you.' Rosemary said tearfully and headed outside the ward as Mwanza Graciano and Doctor Sandy followed after.
'Mister and Mrs Graciano, It's clear your daughter has liked the game. I would suggest we let her linger longer in that imaginary world to enhance her healing rapidly. We should be able to feed her through the tubes. We have to give her a space of six months or a year to yield positive results. Leave her in our capable hands. She will do fine, and please don't worry about her.'
Rosemary looked at her spouse, the eye contact did come to an agreement. Rosemary and her husband made up their minds, and they had to comply with the experts' decision.
'Alright then, let's send her back.' Rosemary reluctantly vocalized.
Next, Cynthia was back in her virtual reality world.
'Welcome back Cipher!' Viveibra AI remarked.
So out there I am Cynthia and here Cipher. Wow, this is interesting.
Cynthia chuckled because she did find the entire scene quite amusing.
When Cynthia entered the virtual reality game, her memories of her previous experience were intact. She also did remember the four people she had encountered on the outside of the VR game. Their claim of being her parents lingered in her mind.
'I really feel more at home right in here, than outside there.' Cynthia spoke out loudly.
At that moment, she was inside the hologram interface. Cipher went on to press on her profile, quite curious about what she would find.
Her eyes widened when she cast them on her profile.
Number 1, area of expert; hacker.
'What the hell is a hacker?' Cipher questioned loudly. It seemed the word was new in her mind's dictionary.
'1. A person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data.
Informal
An enthusiastic and skillful computer programmer or user.
2. A person or thing that hacks or cuts roughly.' Viveibra explained the meaning of the word.
'How will this help me win missions?'
Cipher found it difficult to grasp the wisdom of the gift or award she had been given. From her point of view and observation, all the four gaming interfaces have but one thing in common, and that was to become a great fighter, and now the system, grants her the expertise of being a hacker. How dumb? She found it to be very awkward and unrealistic. Therefore, she was not very appreciative. She imagined, maybe she was going to be an online cultivator, something of that nurture, or a master in martial arts.
Number 2, EXP 200 points.
Cynthia did not complain about the second award. It's exactly as it had been tabulated before they went on the voyage.
You can culminate your EXP into your body system in your storage space.
Number 3: Combat skills have been increased by 20 percent. Please check out your storage space in your hologram interface.
Number 4: Rank; Beginner, Stage five. Standings at one million, five hundred thousand.
It's a long way up there. Cipher thought.
She looked forward to being in the first rank or at least in the top ten.
Number 5: Teleportation Level One winner. Three stars have been credited to Cipher.
Three silver stars could be seen on her profile.
Number 6: The number of lives; three.
Number 7: Net worth; 10,000 US dollars.
Number 8: Special Powers; shape-shifter.
Number 9: Matches won; 1
Number 10: Matches lost; nil
Number 11: Level; 10
Cipher gazed at her inbox, which had about five messages. She entered her inbox, her eyes rolled to Sara's message, which was, of course, on top. Emotions of extreme joy welled up in her loins. She was fond of Sara, she found her to be very closer than even the two people who claimed to be her parents.
Hello Cipher, I am happy to hear such great news. I was out of the game for about four hours after I got killed on our last mission. I had a humble and quality time with my family, who are always complaining that i spend too much time in this virtual reality world than with them.
But I like it here, actually I do plan to make a career out of it. What is going to be our next adventure? Do you have any plans already formulated? I do have one in mind. It must be a must win for me because I just have two lives. Hope to hear from you soon.
Sara signed her name as usual.
On finishing reading Sara's message, there was a sudden violent vibration on the ground. The hologram interface was being scrambled from the ground. Everything was shaking uncontrollably, fear gripped Cipher's mind and heart.
She felt her spine being reaped apart, instantly she started bleeding from her nostrils. Her head went numb, as her bleeding continued at an increasing speed one could phantom.
Sweat had encompassed all her clothes, as it had dripped down from her forehead, to her face and further down her body to the clothes. She looked like a person who was experiencing a tremendous hit from hot lava.
The pain inside her mind and one in her spine grew stronger and more severe every second that elapsed.
Finally, when she reached her breaking point, she collapsed.
Time moved fast and swiftly, and in the next two hours she regained consciousness.
Her whole body was wet, appearing as if she had passed through heavy rainfall the past two hours.
Then the system announced in a strong, vibrant male voice. This time it was not Viveibra.
'Attention participant, congratulations to all of you. You have been chosen to take part in this new virtual reality game expedition. The intra-multi- gaming voyage has merged with the universe and reality. That means you are not just playing a game now, you have one true life, you die now, you are dead forever. The games interface continues to be as it has always been. But you will be denied the opportunity to choose the interface you participate in. The system will assign you missions randomly. If you please the system, the system will greatly reward you. You fail missions delivered, you risk your life by dying, or you will be punished evenly.'
