Chapter 66 - Chapter:67

"The leader already knows about your situation and agrees to it."

Kirito exited his slide body state, turned his head, and spoke to Juzo Biwa, who stood not far away.

"Thank you very much," Juzo sighed in relief, nodding to express his gratitude. "Where should we go next? Should we return to the Hidden Rain Village, or head to the temporary base outside the village to receive the mission?"

"You should go back to the Hidden Rain Village first. Konan will arrange everything for you there. I'll return to the base."

Although Kirito didn't have to personally hand over the mission since Black Zetsu, the sixth brother, was there, he couldn't miss the opportunity to witness Orochimaru's humiliation firsthand.

Traveling the same path, Kirito and Juzo quickly caught up with Itachi Uchiha.

They exchanged minimal words, only nodding in acknowledgment before parting ways near the Hidden Rain Village. Juzo headed for the village while Kirito and Itachi proceeded to the base to report to Pain.

"Thanks for helping with Juzo," Itachi said as they exited the base cave.

"It's rare to see someone like you express gratitude," Kirito said, folding his arms and looking at Itachi with interest. "But don't get me wrong. I saved Juzo not for you, but because I didn't want to see someone like him die in that place."

"That's enough," Itachi replied, closing his eyes slightly.

Kirito ignored him and disappeared, reappearing at the stone steps in the jungle where, according to the original series, Orochimaru's arm was cut off by Itachi, waiting for their encounter.

Soon, Orochimaru and Itachi met.

Orochimaru smiled sinisterly, his eyes gleaming with greed and joy as he looked at Itachi, who remained expressionless, not even acknowledging Orochimaru's presence.

As they passed each other, Orochimaru suddenly released a giant python from his sleeves, binding Itachi from behind.

"Do you know what eternal life is, Itachi?" Orochimaru asked, standing on the steps, looking down at Itachi with a smug expression. "I don't know yet, so I need an excellent body."

Before he could continue, Kirito's voice interrupted from the side. "Ah, ah, what do we have here?"

Orochimaru turned to see Kirito standing on the steps. "Kirito-kun, are you here to stop me?"

"No, you don't understand the situation," Kirito shook his head.

"Nani," Orochimaru was stunned. Before he could react, Itachi used his genjutsu, the Tsukuyomi, immobilizing Orochimaru.

Itachi stood unharmed before Orochimaru, the roles reversed.

From the beginning, Orochimaru had been trapped in an illusion.

"I didn't expect to be caught in a genjutsu. What powerful eye power," Orochimaru stammered, his face pale. Attempting to break free, he started forming hand seals but underestimated Itachi's fully awakened Mangekyō Sharingan.

With a swift motion, Itachi's blade severed Orochimaru's left arm.

"Orochimaru, none of your techniques work against my eyes," Itachi stated, echoing his words from the original series, casting a long shadow over Orochimaru's ambitions.

Kirito, sensing Orochimaru's imminent defeat, decided to intervene. If Orochimaru died now, the future would be less entertaining.

Glancing at Kabuto, who was hiding nearby, Kirito activated the Tenku Jutsu, pulling the ring from Orochimaru's severed arm into his hand.

"It seems my help isn't needed. I'll report this to the leader. How you handle Orochimaru is up to you." With that, Kirito vanished from the stone steps.

No sooner had Kirito left than Kabuto attacked Itachi with shuriken, forcing him back and using an explosive tag to create a diversion, escaping with Orochimaru and his severed arm.

Itachi, having no intention of killing Orochimaru, saw his greed for the Sharingan as a potential tool for honing his skills.

Calmly, Itachi continued on, unaffected by the earlier attack.

However, Orochimaru and Kabuto found themselves in another dire situation as Kirito reappeared before them.

"Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto said, sweat dripping down his forehead, standing protectively in front of Orochimaru with kunai in hand.

"Kabuto, step aside," Orochimaru commanded.

"But Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto hesitated until he felt Orochimaru's murderous intent, reluctantly stepping back.

"Kirito-kun, are you here to kill me?" Orochimaru asked, his voice serious.

If it were any other time, Orochimaru would have dismissed a rising star like Kirito. But after his encounter with Itachi, he realized that genius cannot be measured by common standards.

Now, with his left arm severed and his combat effectiveness greatly reduced, he was in no position to fight.

"You're in a mess, Orochimaru. Defeated by Itachi's Sharingan, losing an arm, and escaping only with Kabuto's help. But you won't get another chance."

Kirito formed a seal with his right hand, and a massive tree emerged, binding Orochimaru and Kabuto instantly. Drawing his Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, from the system warehouse, Kirito approached them.

Seeing Kirito approach like the god of death, Kabuto, trapped in an illusion, shouted in horror, "Lord Orochimaru!"

"This is Kirito's illusion," Orochimaru muttered, his composure shattered.

As Kirito closed in, Orochimaru's desperation grew, realizing he might not survive this encounter.
