"Before asking someone's name, shouldn't you first tell them your own?" Kirito feigned ignorance. "Besides, you look like you're only in your twenties, not much older than me."
Tsunade, taken aback by Kirito's comment, blushed. She couldn't possibly reveal that her youthful appearance was due to the Hundred Healings Technique.
After a slight hesitation, Tsunade said seriously, "My name is Tsunade."
"Tsunade?" Kirito pretended to ponder. "The name sounds familiar, as if I've heard it somewhere before."
"There are many people with the same name in this world. No need to worry about it."
Tsunade, finding someone she could talk to, didn't want to intimidate him with her identity.
"I remember now, the legendary Sannin includes a woman named Tsunade. Could you be her?" Kirito looked at her with eyes full of anticipation.
"How is that possible?" Tsunade quickly denied it.
But before she could continue, Kirito added, "That's true. I heard Lady Tsunade is nearly fifty years old. You're so young and beautiful, you couldn't possibly be that old woman."
At the mention of "old woman," there was a loud bang as Tsunade crushed her wine glass.
"What's wrong?" Kirito asked innocently.
"Nothing," Tsunade replied, her face darkening. She reminded herself not to get angry with him.
As the evening went on, the wine flowed, and the dishes were served. Soon, Tsunade was slightly drunk, while Kirito, who had secretly dissipated the alcohol, remained sober.
"Hey, kid, how come you're fine after drinking so much?" Tsunade slurred.
"I'm from the north, where we drink from bowls. A few ounces of wine is nothing," Kirito lied.
Tsunade looked at Kirito amusedly. "You're quite the boaster."
Just then, the door opened, and a woman with a pet pig entered. It was Shizune.
"Lady Tsunade, you've had enough. We should go back," Shizune urged, eyeing Kirito suspiciously.
"Oh, it's Shizune. You go ahead. I'm debt-free now and want to drink more." Tsunade pointed at herself and challenged, "How about it? Do you dare to compete with me, kid?"
At that moment, a system prompt sounded in Kirito's mind.
[Ding, congratulations to the host for triggering the system option.]
[1. Bet with Tsunade on drinking, punish her, and receive Observation Haki.]
[2. Bet with Tsunade, overpower her, and receive Armament Haki.]
[3. Don't gamble, and receive 99,999 Viagras.]
"Why not?" Kirito decided, ignoring Shizune's stare. He called the store owner and ordered more wine.
Seeing them drink happily, Shizune felt Tsunade was safe and reluctantly left, waiting outside.
Early the next morning, Kirito stood up from the bed, his legs trembling. He glanced at the still-sleeping Tsunade and winced.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining Observation Haki.]
The system prompt provided some comfort. He hadn't expected Tsunade to be so fierce while drunk.
If not for his rigorous training, Kirito would have collapsed. He dressed, left a box of money and a note, and disappeared.
He decided against leaving the pure gold, fearing Tsunade might exchange it for money.
As he left, he feared facing Tsunade's wrath upon waking. Remembering how Jiraiya had been nearly killed for peeking at her, he didn't want to take any chances.
Shortly after he left, a scream echoed through the hotel.
Shizune, dozing outside, rushed in with her pet pig. The scene inside shocked her.
The room was a mess, with bottles and clothes scattered everywhere. Tsunade's clothes were mixed with those of the mysterious boy from the night before. The boy himself was gone, leaving only a cash box.
Tsunade, wrapped in a quilt, was trembling in a corner.
Shizune hurriedly helped Tsunade, who felt slightly better.
"Lady Tsunade, are you okay?" Shizune asked, her eyes red. She knew Tsunade had lost something precious.
"I'm fine," Tsunade's voice trembled.
As a top medical ninja, Tsunade knew what had happened.
Last night, she had challenged a boy to a drinking contest, only to lose all memory.
She vaguely remembered mistaking the boy for Shizune's uncle, Dan Kato.
"I'm going to find that bastard," Shizune cried, ready to storm out, but Tsunade stopped her.
"Where will you find him? He's long gone," Tsunade said softly, twisting the note left by Kirito.
Unbeknownst to Shizune, Tsunade had read the note, explaining his disheveled state was due to hemophobia.
