It was raining heavily in the cemetery.
Varna was walking around the row of gravestones lined up. He was carrying two cans of beer. Despite being soaked wet, he was walking without a care of his world. Finally, he found the grave he was looking for: A grave etched with the name "Percival Malloy" and with the inscriptions 'A great friend' written below it. He sat down and opened both cans, setting one aside for his friend.
"It's been two years since I lost you old squirt. I hope you've been doing well in paradise because I haven't. You're fortunate that your family was able to give themselves a closure from your loss but I haven't found one since. I've been hunting down those who wronged you and still I couldn't find the one that would settle my feelings of avenging you."
He grabbed his can of beer and takes a drink.
"To be honest, I don't know where I should go from here. I've been hurting, killing, tormenting them people and still I can't even move on. Perhaps I was wondering, maybe this isn't justice I've been doing. This is just me venting out my screwed-up feelings on those I feel responsible, and rather than feeling dread, I feel hunger and I'm not satisfied." He confided
Perhaps deep within his sadistic nature, he feels a sense of dread of what he has become. He then looked up to the sky and raised his beer up high as a sign of cheers
"Somehow, someday, I'll visit you one last time, perhaps I could settle my revenge for you" he swore to himself
As he stood up, he suddenly feels dizzy and heavy. He then spots a figure in black.
Ahh shit...I should've brought an umbrella with me...perhaps I could pass on from this world without quenching my satisfaction
As he leans weakly onto the grave, the figure approaches him. His vision might be blurring but he can still be able to discern it. Blonde, short hair, pearl earrings, purple beret, something tells him that he recognizes the figure.
"Ahh... fancy meeting you here..."
That was his last words before he passed out
"Devils don't visit graves and give their grievances to the dead, dear"
It was Rebecca D' Anjou, and judging from her state, it seems like she wants to take Varna to her home.
