"Thank god I was able to get back last night without any worries." I mutter to myself as I hear the birds chirping outside.The morning sun shining against my window curtain as I stare up at the ceiling.'I didn't have energy to check around Estelle's apartment so I just went straight to bed and passed out.' I yawned as I sit up carefully before stretching and checking on my phone.It is approximately 5AM which made me yawn heavily and rub my eyes as I try to compose myself and stare off of nothing."Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something since last night?"I try to think over it and wander around the room until I am on a halt."Wait.. I have that homework project with that Nero guy, right?" I mutter to myself.'I totally forgot about it.' I think to myself and got to the phone to start searching things and even to any notes related to the topic, but in a glimpse of a moment.I catch a thousand words of information in my head relating to it.'Ah. It happened again.' I think to myself as I look on my phone.When time turns to 6AM, the phone was filled with the thousand words worthy of essay for the part of research with Nero."I only followed what appeared in my head but.. wow this is pretty convenient yet mind aching. " I say to myself as I massage my head from the flash of information that made me feel weak for a moment.When I make my way to the fridge that I see, all I was able to see is a bunch of water bottles and frozen bacon at the freezer."... This character has a very minimal lifestyle, huh?" I say as I take out the frozen bacon and go on to check for anything I can melt and cook it up with.As I continue to rummage through the cabinets, I was able to find some cooking oil and a pan to cook the bacon with.As I melt the frozen bacon and hear the sizzling sound of the cooking pan, I ponder to myself again.'I suppose it makes sense that Estelle would live a rather simple and mundane life by herself... But this is pretty pitiful.' I think to myself as I stare at the frozen bacon sizzle on the pan."But, who am I to judge? Maybe that's why I transgressed as her. We're both just trying to survive with what we got." I say to myself as I go on to cook the bacon.My thoughts are interrupted as the sound of a pop from the pan brings my attention back to the task at hand. I continue to cook the bacon by flipping them over on the pan, the smell of the bacon slowly filling up the room with its rich aroma.After a few minutes of letting the bacon cook on one side and then the other, it's finally finished.I take a look at the finished product and it honestly looks pretty good, despite how simple it is."Alright, a decent breakfast." I say with a smile as I go on to place it on a plate and put the pan on the sink, keeping in mind to wash it later after I eat breakfast.I take a seat at the dining table and glance at the bacon with a pang of hunger, my stomach growling as I think about how delicious it smelt.As I grab a fork and a knife and cut into the bacon, it is as juicy and tasty as it looked, I couldn't help but let out a soft moan."Mmm.. this is.. so good." I said in between bites of the crispy and juicy bacon.After that, it is finally 7AM, the supposed time of the actual Estelle Zeller's wake up time."KRIIINGG!" The alarm ringtone on Estelle's phone rings and I turn it off as I look at the mirror in the bedroom."Alright, I'm all set." I say to myself as I go on and smile proudly at how much more vibrant my character's complexion is.'Hehe, I've improved the looks of the character.' I think to myself.My hair is combed and properly brushed, my complexion is rosy and a healthy hue, making me look more like an actual cuter girl than ever.I take a glance at the clock and see that a few minutes have passed already. "I should message Raven that I'll be on the train station, right?" I tell myself as I grab the key card for the small apartment."Time to get to school." I said to myself as I grab the schoolbag and when I'm all set I take a step outside and let the door close itself properly.I make my way on the sidewalk as I don't see much people again.'Perhaps it's cause I'm early, but.. last night too.. it was like not much people exist in this place. Is it because this world is just nothing more but a set up for a visual novel game?' I wonder as I continue to walk.As I continue to walk, the area around me feels slightly off, but I try to shake off any feelings of uneasiness."Maybe I'm just overthinking things." I mutter to myself as I continue walking and taking in the lack of people around.Then, I hear a sound come from somewhere nearby, almost like footsteps.I slowly turn my head around to look over my shoulder and listen closely, wondering if I've just imagined the sound or if it's something real.After a moment of silence, I brush it off as my imagination and continue to walk towards the train station, but then I hear another footsteps sound like it's starting to get closer.A hand suddenly rests on my left shoulder."Hey." It was a deep voice of a guy, and judging from the shadow I see before me, they are taller than me.I froze there as I slowly look back to the person I see before me.It was black medium length haired guy with tanned skin and shark-like teeth staring down at me with a serious expression as he keeps his hand on my shoulder still.I immediately tense up from the touch and even more so from the intense, almost menacing expression on the guy's face as he stares down at me.It's not just the intense look that makes me feel uneasy, but also the way he's holding onto my shoulder feels like he's restricting me.I try to step back slightly but his hand is still holding on tight to my shoulder, preventing me from moving away."U-umm.." I couldn't muster up the courage to speak, knowing fully well that this guy is stronger and I'm still trying to adjust in my own body.He continues to look at me, my heart racing on anxiety."You.. how do you know Raven?" The guy asks as he keeps his gaze on me.The guy's question catches me off guard and I look up at him with a bewildered expression, wondering how he knows Raven or how he knows that I know her."W-who.. are you?" I manage to stutter out the words, still feeling intimidated by his presence and the firm grip on my shoulder.He glares as he tightens his hand on my shoulder. "Answer my question first!"Out of panic, I answered. "She's my classmate! Sheesh.."The guy's grip on my shoulder tightens even more, making me grimace from the pain, but my response seems to have satisfied him enough as he eases up slightly. "Classmate, huh?"He seems to process this information as he looks down at me with a stern expression."Then.. yesterday, what kind of classmate stays over in her apartment?" He frowns."... Well, I'm like.. her best friend and she's the one who invited me anyway. But, you.. Did you .. stal--" I stopped myself from saying the word 'stalk' as the guy glares at me.'Taking a closer look at him, I think I know who he is. And he's one of the supposed love interest. Rogue Fox. Raven's childhood friend that turned into a delinquent.. and now he's just been seeing Raven from afar without her knowledge.' I think to myself as I watch him slowly let go of me."Best friend, huh?" The guy, Rogue Fox, repeats my words, sounding like he's scrutinizing me. "And you say she invited you?"He crosses his arms and looks down at me, a mix of suspicion and something else in his gaze. "What were you two doing last night?" He asks in a slightly accusatory tone."Eating dinner? Talking? That's pretty much it, but who are you supposed to be in her life, huh?" I ask despite knowing who he is.The guy's expression darkens at my question and his tone suddenly becomes cold and sharp."Who I am to her is none of your business." He snaps at me, clearly not pleased with my question. "But.. I've known her longer than you ever could."He takes a step closer and towers over me, his eyes narrowing as he stares down.'Wow, he's really as overprotective as he is in the game. Don't worry buddy, I'm not gonna steal her away from you, not that I could even do it since I'm just a support character.' I think to myself as I look back at him.'There's only one way to humor this guy.' I clear my throat and give out an innocent expression as I clasped my hands together as I lean to him."Oh! Are you her boyfriend? " I ask as I blink with a seemingly curious gaze that gets him caught off guard and averting his gaze with a soft blush."B-boyfriend? N-no.. I.. even if I want to.. I'm not! I can't! Uhh.. I'm her friend.. well, I used to be. But.. she and I don't talk as much as we used to. She's busy after all.. " Rogue says in response as he scratches the back of his head out of shyness.'Yup, this guy is head over heels for Raven. He may seem the easiest since he's already in love with the heroine but, he's not an easy route at all.' I think back to the gameplay that shows Rogue getting either arrested or having Raven caught in his own delinquent related business."I see.. so then, why are you talking to me?" I ask him as softly as I could as I look at him trying to calm down, but he is still blushing despite his tough exterior.The guy averts his gaze and I can see a hint of blush on his cheeks as he starts to reply to my question. "I.. uhh.. I just wanted to make sure you're not up to anything.. fishy.."He seems to be a bit flustered as he answers, probably not expecting me to ask that question. "Raven.. she's pretty kind and too naive sometimes. So I just wanted to make sure you're not a bad influence on her.. "'I figured.' I think to myself but slowly, I start to realize something.'But.. hold on, this was never shown in the game. Rogue was never meant to meet Estelle at all.' My eyes widen slightly as I look down the ground.'AH! ' I gaze back at Rogue with wide eyes as he is unaware that I'm looking at him. 'Raven was supposed to meet all the love interests yesterday! Axel at the cafeteria.. and Rogue on her way to her apartment. Oh boy.. this is a mess.' I sigh and look away.'Even minimal actions from me would cause a big change. If this goes on, I wouldn't be able to guess what the next thing that will happen be.' I think over and then look back at Rogue.'At this rate, I'll have to be extra careful with what I'll say.
