ROSALIA'S POV
The car skid to a halt right in the middle of the road he quickly glanced at me "you did what" he asked in an alarming tone like he was in a movie playing cop and the bad guy "is there a problem and why did you Stop the car abruptly" I answered him back with a question instead of an answer.
He asked me again looking worried "why would you do that Rosalia, it's dangerous you shouldn't have gone the extra miles trying to find out about me, what if you were hurt"
Ok now this is getting weird why would he say such things and he still has that worried look on his face but I felt happy seeing him being worried about me, not that I meant to make him worried but I was happy someone was worried about me apart from my parents and the Campbells not even my ex husband.
"calm down Wade it's nothing dangerous I know we are in a gruesome world and all but right now there is nothing to be worked up on about, I read your bio truly and i never went out of my way just to know about you i read your bio made all of my research and I did that from the comfort of my home, I looked up some bloggers post that were about you and moreover you were posted on the Google platform, I never knew you were famous and that was how I knew a little about you by reading your bio online, so Wade don't get yourself all worked up i never went through some dangerous route and besides i know what we are up against"
i explained to him and after explaining that was when i saw him relaxed a bit.
He later replied me after much silence "I thought you endangered yourself trying to find out about me, because I know you are like Mr Reign who would make sure to do things when he's set his mind on it I thought you had your ways too" i smiled faintly when he said that because it's true am just like my father even in appearance am a female version of my father except for my fair skin which I got from my mom.
I then replied him "that was then Wade am not in the business world anymore even though I would go back sometime later, and besides am not my Dad we may look alike but we have different personalities and besides am going to be a mother soon, I can't endanger the life of my kids i can't be reckless anymore i understand you Wade, i know you are concerned about me but am not that stupid you know" i said the last part with a hint of humor trying to lighten the atmosphere.
After our conversation he started the car I glanced back and noticed that the others have been long gone, few minutes later we were back on the road just then I heard him say "readjust your seatbelt Rosalia" he told me his eyes still on the road, how did he know that but I obeyed him anyway, after I had readjusted my seatbelt I spoke to him while he was still driving.
"And Wade there are things to be discuss but that would be later and the Campbells would also be included since dad has instigated on us all, I would make sure to avenge his death no matter what I would make sure I avenge him even if it's the last thing I would do on earth, that's a promise I made to my father at his grave and i would make sure that promise is fulfilled" I told him with all seriousness while unknowingly dragging my seatbelt.
Just then I heard him say "we would fulfill the promise you made to your dad together because I also made a promise to him, but you really need to let go of your seatbelt since you seem to hate it right now"
That was when i realized that in my little fit of anger I've unknowingly strapped the belt tightly to my belly, i immediately readjust the belt and mouthed sorry to him then I noticed a faint smile on his lips, wait what Wade smiled even if it was fleeting I saw him smile
I decided to taunt him with the smile.
"are you really smiling Wade or am i just hallucinating because you literally smiled, now that's really unbelievable but you really did I never knew you could smile"
I told him with a smile on my face he looked somehow awkward and that made me laugh, he really is the brother i never had I haven't laughed since dad's death but just being with Wade today made me laugh, I was mesmerized by him there was nothing in my eyes but awe and respect for him.
The ride back home was peaceful and I was happy being with him I decide to ask him him again about the Campbells
"you know Dad said a lot of stuff about Lucas and Miranda, like seriously Wade do you not know anything about them being special agents"
I asked facing him so he wouldn't be able to avoid eye contact with me, he sighed and looked at me saying
"no i do not know anything about them i know nothing about them, I've never seen them before except for the day you brought them home"
He answered me I somehow felt guilty not wanting to ruin our relationship I said sorry to him and he waved it off saying it's okay, and he said I should let him know when I would meet with the Campbells so he would be present there too.
An hour later we got home Mom and the Campbells together with the kings have arrived before us like fifteen minutes ago, I entered the house with Wade he helped me up the stairs because my legs were aching from the heels I had on.
On entering the living room everyone were already seated I went to greet the kings I went there still holding on to Wade it's even surprising to me that am comfortable around him, when I just knew him even though he's known me for seven years I offer my greetings to them.
I hugged them both after disengaging from the hug I decided to introduce them to Wade
"Hi Mother and father it's been quite a while am pleased to meet you both and this is Wade Atkins"
I told them gesturing towards Wade but I noticed Alexander's mom gazing at me she was looking kind of surprised I think, what's going on why would she be looking surprised maybe it's about the divorce, that got her looking surprised when she saw me I really don't know am just saying, few minutes later we were all seated but she was still in that dazed state, she then whispered something to dad that also made him throw a quick glance at me while he's also looked surprised.
Am still baffled as to why Alexander's parents are looking shocked I mentally pointed to where they were seated I sat down with Wade while Mom and the Campbells sat together, we were in Mom's study trying to curb the tense atmosphere I decided to introduce Alexander's parents to Wade to ease the tension even though he might already know them.
"Wade these are Alexander's parents Crown Prince Phillip King and Crown princess Elizabeth King "
I introduce them to Wade and he went ahead to greet them
"pleased to meet your highnesses am Wade Atkins"
They smiled at him awkwardly and answered his greetings but they were still much in a dazed state after a while they got back to themselves and offered their condolences, we talked about Dad and I was thankful they didn't bring up the divorce I know they already knew since he's engaged to someone else I was grateful they didn't talk about it.
We were chatting about how things have eventually turned out concerning my dad's death and I was asking of their well-being
When I heard "you are pregnant aren't you Rosalia " Alexander's mom was asking me
