ROSALIA'S POV
Lucas and Miranda surprised me and it made me so emotional I never expected such from them, it brought tears to my eyes because no one apart from my parents has ever been willing to stand by me like this not even my ex husband.
They told me they would follow me to my father's funeral I am really amazed by this, someone they have never met before even though they may have heard about him because my family and Alexander's are quite famous, they are willing to to go to his funeral and pay their respects to him, they were willing to abandon their store just for me this really got my eyes misty, I hugged them both relishing in the warmth after disengaging from the hug we left the house.
We walked down to the garage and we decide to take their car since we are going together we stopped by their house for them to pack a few stuff for their needs and convenience to take along, the journey to my ancestral home was quite moody I was lost in my own thoughts and I could feel Miranda throwing glances at me occasionally.
My mind drifted back to my dad and those happy moments when were still a complete family that was before I got married.
Remembering the last birthday i celebrated with them my mum was the one who came to wake me up singing all sorts of birthday songs, my dad also joined us bringing a candle lit cake smiling and saying "happy birthday to my cherished jewel I love you so much baby I will be with you always and forever" remembering those words brought unknown tears slipping down my face, I wiped them away not to bother my friends who have been trying their very best to calm me down.
Some hours later we arrived at my home taking all our stuffs from the car trunk we head inside, on getting inside I lead them to my mom study and we met her there on seeing me she let out the tears she has been holding in while engulfing me in a hug, when she hugged me i noticed she looked surprised then glancing down at my slightly protuded belly, if people don't come in close contact with me they wouldn't even noticed that i am pregnant, even i am still baffled as to why my belly is still so small being at four months and carrying twins, she glanced up at me almost immediately smiling amidst tears and crying the more, also making me let out my own surpressed tears and hugging my mom like my life depends on it.
For what seems like fifteen minutes we were still crying, I tried comforting her after a long while I succeeded she stopped crying and she wiped her face.
That was when she noticed I came in with people after realizing herself she came and hugged them both, that's how my Mom has been all her life despite being born and marrying into wealth she is still so humble, she never minds people wealth or status before being nice to them she's never looked down on people, I noticed they too were surprised to see her have such an attitude but that's have always been her personality.
"Hi I am Natalie-Natalie Clarissa Reign, Rosalia's mother" she introduced herself to them extending her hands towards them for a handshake
"Nice to meet you I am Miranda Campbell and this is my husband Lucas Campbell " Miranda replied to her shaking hands with her,
"Pleased to meet you ma'am " said Lucas also shaking hands with her.
"So sorry you met me in such an embarrassing state i just couldn't hold back my tears when I saw her" she said to me her eyes getting misty while gesturing towards me.
I could feel her pains just like am trying to conceal mine but once I saw how broken my mom was I couldn't hold back my tears.
"We understand we really do, and we are sorry for your loss may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace " Lucas said sympathizing with her while Miranda nods at her.
"Thank you I really appreciate it, and thanks for standing by her" she said gesturing towards me once again.
Wait a minute she knew, I glanced at her surprised, she nods her head towards me and smiling, as if on cue about what i was surprised about she said to me.
"Yes I knew, I knew you were divorced " she told me just then someone came in a slightly huge good looking man but not as beautiful as Alexander, he was dressed in a peak lapel business suit he came to stood beside Mom while she sat on the couch.
"This is Wade Atkins your shadow guard through him I knew everything going on including your pregnancy"
Wait what ? So she knew about the divorce since all this while that was the reason she didn't asked about Alexander, except that one time I had a joint video call with her and Alexander's mother at the hotel I first stayed at after the divorce.
"And your father knew too" she said catching me by surprise once more so dad knew too but he never called me I thought Alexander never told them, and now I am certain he never told them about the divorce but this guy standing beside my mom, was the informat that got them informed about everything including my pregnancy, but I have never seen or noticed him in any of my premises and he knew so much about me.
"Your father was the one who hired Wade to be your shadow guard ever since you were sixteen"
What ? can today get any more surprising since I was sixteen these guy has been with me for that long, that's like seven years ago cause am twenty four now, and dad was the one who hired him i felt a pang of pain that I've already lost him, and flutter of happiness knowing that my father has always prioritize my safety and i suddenly missed him.
"So how does he know about my pregnancy" I said gesturing towards the guy.
"He saw you going to the hospital that day and he inquired from the doctor, and because the doctor knows him he was able to get the information that was how he knew" she said smiling when uttering the last words she was indeed happy Despite losing her husband, I know how she has always been yapping about grandchildren and I am also happy for her that she would be involved in their life, since she already knows about them but I don't think she knows am carrying twins.
"How do you and dad feel when you found out I got divorced" I decide to ask her since I have been planning to tell them about it not knowing they already knew about it.
"I would say I am disappointed-" I looked shocked when she said that I was about to protest when her lips curved up into a slight smile and she said "at him-" I felt relieved when I heard her say that "I am really disappointed at him because he chose to lose the one who truly loved him, and is willing to go the extra miles for him for the one he loves but who doesn't love him" she said.
So mom knew Nora doesn't love him how does she know about all of this did this Wade guy got her informed to this extent.
"How-how do you know that mom" I asked her stuttering because I am really surprised she knew.
"Thanks to Wade Alexander himself is engaged to her now, Wade found out she has a boyfriend she's been dating right from childhood before meeting Alexander, and that she is also with him because of wealth and his royal status,she is still dating her boyfriend you know and fooling Alexander"
This is a really huge news and it got me baffled even Miranda and Lucas were as surprised as I am with all they've heard.
