The boys arrived at their home they barely spent any time at ever since bisky gave them their freedom to train on their own.
As they approached the front of the house, they could already hear Bisky's voice from inside. It was hard to tell if she was scolding someone or just talking loudly—knowing her, it was probably both.
"Oi, what took you boys so long?" Bisky shouted from the doorway as soon as they stepped into view. "You're not skipping out on training again, are you?"
Te exchanged a quick glance with Koby before scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Actually, uh... we're kind of leaving today."
Bisky's eyes narrowed. "Leaving? You better not mean to slack off somewhere. You still haven't mastered your armament Haki completely, and don't think I forgot about your last spar when you collapsed after ten minutes!"
' Wasn't trying,' They both thought.
Koby stepped in, trying to ease the tension. "It's not that, Bisky! We're just, you know... heading out on our own journey. Gotta start making a name for ourselves."
"Yeah!" Te added, puffing his chest out. "We're going to sail around the world and be free—pirates, adventurers... you know, like the big shots!"
Bisky stared at them for a moment, her expression unreadable, before she suddenly burst out laughing. "Pirates? Ha! You two? You think you're ready to be pirates?"
Te and Koby shared a confused look, not expecting that reaction.
Bisky wiped a tear from her eye. "Look, I know you've been training hard, but pirates? You two can barely stay serious for more than five minutes. Who's gonna take you seriously on the seas? What's your plan? Te's gonna blow things up and Koby's gonna geek out over gadgets?"
"Hey, I resent that!" Koby said, crossing his arms. "My gadgets are top-tier!"
"And I only blow things up sometimes," Te mumbled.
Bisky's expression softened, and she shook her head. "Well, I guess I can't stop you. You've both grown up a lot... but don't think for a second that just because you're leaving, you've outgrown me. I'll be keeping tabs on you brats. And if I hear you're slacking, I'll drag you back by the ear."
"We know, we know," Te sighed, but he was grinning. "You wouldn't be you if you weren't threatening us."
Koby nudged Te. "Let's not push our luck. We just wanted to say goodbye and... thanks."
Bisky's expression softened further, and she crossed her arms, trying to look annoyed but failing. "Yeah, yeah. You'd better make me proud out there."
"We will," Te and Koby said in unison.
Bisky gave a huff, though her eyes glistened with pride. "You better. Now go, before I change my mind and make you do one last round of training."
Ronin poked his head in from outside. "Are we ready to go yet? I'm starving, and I'd rather not die of boredom before we even leave the island!"
Lila laughed, already heading toward the door. "I second that. Let's get out of here before Bisky ropes us into training, too."
"Oi, Lila! You better not slack either!" Bisky called after her.
"Wouldn't dream of it!" Lila waved with a cheeky grin as she followed the boys.
As they walked away, Te leaned over to Koby. "So, that went better than expected."
Koby nodded, looking back one last time at their home. "Yeah... but let's make sure we come back with stories she'll have to be impressed by."
" Old hag I see why Killua always called her that."
"Who Killua?" Lila tilting her head in confusion.
"Distant friend."
As they finally arrived at the shoreline, Lila and Ronin's jaws practically dropped to the ground. Docked in front of them was a massive wooden ship, its sleek design and reinforced hull making it look like something straight out of a legendary pirate's tale. The sails were crisp, embroidered with intricate patterns, and the ship itself was enormous—far bigger than they had anticipated.
Lila blinked several times, trying to process what she was seeing. "Wait… this is it? This is your ship?!"
Ronin scratched his head, staring up at the towering vessel. "I thought you guys said we were pirates, not a full-blown navy. How did you even build this?"
Koby puffed his chest out proudly, grinning from ear to ear. "I've been working on it for the past 10 years, fine-tuning every detail. Built it from scratch, with my own two hands... and some tools, of course."
Lila crossed her arms, an eyebrow raised. "Built it from scratch? Out of what, an entire forest? This thing's a mansion on water!"
Te casually draped an arm over Lila's shoulder, nodding. "What can I say? Koby's a genius. And when you've got skills like ours, anything's possible."
Lila gave him a suspicious look. "What's the catch? You didn't use any weird magic or something, right?"
Te coughed awkwardly and quickly changed the subject. "Look, the important thing is that it floats! And it's big enough for all the treasure we're going to collect."
Ronin chuckled, walking up to the side of the ship and giving it a knock. "This thing's a beast! But seriously, Koby, you might have gone a little overboard."
Koby smirked, not missing a beat. "Overboard? Ha! Just wait until you see what's inside. I added secret compartments, reinforced cannons, and even a mini-gravity room for training on the go!"
Lila's eyes widened. "A gravity room? So I can get even stronger while sailing? I'm starting to like this ship!"
Te grinned, patting Koby on the back. "Yeah, he really thought of everything. Though, I did suggest adding a hot tub, but apparently, 'that's too impractical for a pirate ship.'"
Koby shot him a deadpan look. "Because we're pirates, not a luxury resort, Te."
Lila burst into laughter. "A hot tub? Seriously, Te? We're supposed to be sailing the seas and fighting pirates, not lounging with fruity drinks!"
"Hey, you can do both!" Te shrugged defensively. "Pirates deserve a little relaxation too."
Ronin clapped his hands together. "Alright, enough chit-chat! Let's get on board and see what this monster can do!"
As they started boarding the ship, Lila leaned over to Koby. "Okay, I'll admit it… this is pretty impressive. But if this thing sinks, I'm blaming you."
Koby grinned. "Don't worry, I've triple-checked everything. It's practically unsinkable."
Te snorted from the front. "Practically unsinkable? That's comforting."
Ronin laughed as he looked around. "If this thing goes down, I'm jumping on the first plank and calling it my ship!"
Koby just shook his head. "Yeah, yeah, keep joking. You'll be thanking me when this beauty gets us through a storm with all our limbs attached."
Lila smirked. "Well, Captain Koby, let's see if this ship can handle the chaos we're about to throw at it."
"He not the captain," Te quickly retorted.
