Chereads / Nen in One Piece / Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Te and Koby stood in the darkened hallway, their breathing steady as they activated their En together. A powerful surge of Nen expanded outward, invisible but palpable, reaching every corner of the fortress. Their combined range covered a vast area, giving them an immediate sense of their surroundings.

"Most of the patrols are heading towards the docks," Te said, his brow furrowed in concentration. "They're transporting kids… probably to another ship."

Koby's eyes darkened. "So, that's part of White Crow's operation. Trafficking children. We can't let them leave."

Te nodded grimly. "Agreed. But there's more."

Their En picked up the presence of four powerful individuals in a nearby room. One of them was unmistakably the woman they had seen earlier. The other, without question, was Worg, whose aura they now recognized after their fight. But the other two were unfamiliar. One of them had an aura so intense, so oppressive, that both boys instinctively knew who it was.

"That's gotta be White Crow," Koby said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I can feel it."

"And the fourth one?" Te asked, his brow raised.

Koby shook his head, still concentrating. "No idea. But judging by the aura, it's someone dangerous."

Te grinned, cracking his knuckles. "Well, I guess we get to meet them all."

Koby shot him a look. "This isn't just a fight anymore. If they're trafficking kids, we need to stop that first."

Te sighed, reluctantly nodding. "Yeah, I know. But White Crow's in there, Koby. This is the warlord we came for. We can't just walk away now."

Koby's face was determined. "We're not walking away. But we can't let those kids get shipped out either. We take them down, and we end this."

Te's grin returned, full of mischief. "Fine. But if we're gonna bust in there, we might as well make it memorable."

Koby smirked, his own fire stirring again. "You read my mind."

Inside the dimly lit chamber, the air was thick with tension. The woman with dark hair lounged against the wall, her sharp eyes darting between Worg, still recovering from his battle with the boys, and the two men seated at the table.

At the head sat White Crow, his presence oppressive and commanding. His face was hidden beneath a large, ornate mask shaped like a raven, his eyes gleaming dangerously from behind it. His aura radiated calm authority, but there was a deadly undertone to his every word.

Next to him was a hulking man with a large hat and a scar running across his bald head. His lips curled in a cruel smile as he spoke. "So, you're telling me two kids have been causing all this ruckus? Worg, I thought you said they were dealt with?"

Worg scowled, gripping his side where Koby's attack had injured him. "They're more trouble than they look. Stronger than I expected."

The woman rolled her eyes. "Kids or not, they've been a thorn in our side. If we can't kill them, we could sell them. Their potential would fetch a high price."

White Crow chuckled softly, the sound sending chills through the room. "Big Mom has been known to take an interest in unusual children with potential. I'm sure she'd pay a fortune for brats like them."

The hulking man laughed, a low, rumbling sound. "Yeah, and if they give her trouble, she'll eat them. Problem solved."

Worg clenched his fist. "Let's not underestimate them again. They might be young, but they're capable. We should—"

Before he could finish his sentence, the door to the chamber exploded inward with a deafening boom. Smoke and debris filled the room as Te and Koby burst through, the air crackling with their combined energy.

Te's voice echoed through the smoke, loud and wild. "ART IS AN EXPLOSION!"

And then, the entire room detonated.

As the dust settled from the explosion, the room was a chaotic mess of debris and smoke. Te and Koby stood in the center, their auras still crackling with the raw power of their Nen.

Worg lay unconscious near the back of the room, his body slumped against the wall. Already weakened from his earlier fight with the boys, the explosion had finished what their last battle started. He was completely out cold, his chest rising and falling slowly, a sign that he was alive, but barely.

The dark-haired woman spat out a curse, her eyes blazing with fury. "You took Worg out that easily?" She pushed herself to her feet, glaring at the boys with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

The hulking man, still standing after the blast but clearly rattled, laughed harshly. "Looks like Worg wasn't as tough as he thought. But don't worry, I'll take care of the rest."

White Crow, still eerily calm, dusted himself off as if the explosion had barely fazed him. His masked face turned towards the unconscious Worg before focusing back on Te and Koby. "You've made quite a mess of things, haven't you?" His voice was smooth, unbothered by the chaos around him. "But you're playing a dangerous game. Do you really think you can win?"

Te grinned, his fists still glowing. "We're just getting started. If Worg couldn't handle us, I doubt you're gonna have much better luck."

Koby's eyes narrowed as he adjusted his visor, scanning the two remaining enemies. "We've already come this far. There's no turning back now."

The hulking man stepped forward, cracking his neck as he prepared to engage. "I'll squash you brats like the bugs you are. Let's see if you can handle me."

But White Crow remained motionless, watching the scene unfold with an almost detached curiosity. His aura was cold, calculating, and despite the explosion, there was no sign of worry on his part. The boys knew they were up against someone far more dangerous than Worg, but they stood their ground, ready for the fight of their lives.

Te stared at the hulking man with a calm expression. " you seem like an interesting character, but I already told myself I wouldn't be holding back anymore"

Raising his hand Te did a series snaps causing many concentrated explosions to bombard the man.

The hulking man roared as Te's explosions detonated around him, the concentrated blasts tearing through the air. Each snap of Te's fingers triggered another burst of fiery destruction, sending shockwaves through the room and shaking the walls. The man's enormous frame staggered as the explosions rocked his body, but despite the onslaught, he managed to stay on his feet, digging his heels into the ground with a stubborn ferocity.

He gritted his teeth, muscles bulging as he powered through the barrage. "You think a few fireworks are enough to stop me?" he growled, blood dripping from cuts and burns across his skin. His clothes were scorched, and his body was clearly taking a beating, but his sheer endurance was staggering.

Te's eyes gleamed as he snapped again, increasing the intensity. "Maybe not, but I'm just getting warmed up."

More explosions ignited around the man, pushing him further back as smoke and debris filled the room. The force was relentless, the air thick with the smell of burning metal and flesh. The hulking figure's movements became slower, his grunts of pain louder, but he refused to fall.

Koby watched the scene carefully, stepping forward to assist, his hands glowing with Nen as he prepared to jump into the fray. "Te, be careful. This guy's not going down easily."

Just as Koby moved, the woman with dark hair, who had been watching with a predatory smile, made her move. With lightning speed, she darted toward Koby, her hands crackling with a deadly energy of their own. "You've forgotten about me!" she hissed, launching an attack aimed directly at Koby's head.

Koby barely dodged the strike, pivoting in time to face her, his visor flashing with an alert. "I didn't forget," he muttered, blocking her follow-up blow with his shield. "Just didn't think you were worth it."

Te, still focused on the hulking man, snapped his fingers one final time. "Alright, time to end this."

The man grunted, swinging a massive fist in a desperate attempt to charge at Te, but before he could reach him, an enormous explosion erupted directly in front of him, engulfing his entire body in a fiery cloud. When the smoke cleared, the hulking man collapsed to the ground, unconscious and smoking, his body battered and broken.

Te lowered his hand, breathing heavily but with a satisfied grin. "Told you I wouldn't hold back."

Koby, still locked in combat with the woman, glanced at his brother. "You better have saved some energy for the rest of them."

Te cracked his knuckles, turning toward White Crow, who remained calm and still in the corner. "Don't worry. I've got plenty left. In fact let me try this move I've been thinking about.

Te used Soru to appear behind the woman and gripped her arm before she could strike at koby.

As Te grabbed the woman's arm, his fingers instantly glowed with a cold, shimmering energy. The temperature in the room plummeted as ice rapidly formed from his touch, spreading across the woman's arm and locking her in place. Her eyes widened in shock as the ice crawled up her limb, freezing it solid before she could react.

"Ice Time," Te said, his voice calm yet carrying a dangerous edge.

The woman shrieked in pain, struggling to break free from Te's icy grip, but the frost had already overtaken her arm, rendering it immobile. Te tightened his hold, and with a quick twist, he flipped her over, slamming her to the ground, the ice spreading to her legs, trapping her in place.

Koby, momentarily taken aback by Te's new technique, smirked as he stepped away from the now-helpless woman. "Not bad. I didn't know you'd been working on ice techniques."

"Picked up the idea from the freezing alchemist."

The woman thrashed, but it was no use—the ice had encased her arms and legs, locking her to the ground in a frozen prison. Te stepped back, brushing off his hands. "You should cool down for a bit."

Koby crossed his arms and chuckled. "Looks like we're finally getting some real synergy."

Their moment of triumph was short-lived as White Crow, still seated in the corner, slowly rose to his feet. His eyes were cold and calculating, taking in the scene with an eerie calm. Unlike the others, there was no panic or anger in his expression—just quiet contemplation.

"Impressive," White Crow said softly, his voice smooth and composed. " that an impressive devil fruit you have there which one is it."

"Devil fruit? What's that?" Te feigning ignorance.

"Hmm at the end of the day, you are a child." white surmised rubbing his chin "Have you eaten any disgusting weird looking fruits in the past."

"No, why would I eat anything that looks poisonous," Te questioned.

'So he doesn't know about his devil fruit, maybe he ate it when was too young to remember.' White Crow coming to his conclusion.

"You boys have some serious potential. Join me and with my guidance we can take over the world."

"No thanks," both the boys said shaping their arms like an X and putting it over their chest.

White crow started fuming "This is an offer of a lifetime I'm of the seven warlords of the Seas, a former bounty of 400 million Berri, and user of the paper paper fruit. And some children think they can walk into my territory cause chaos and refuse my offer."

White Crow's calm façade finally cracked as his fury boiled over. His eyes narrowed into dangerous slits as he took a menacing step forward. The air around him shimmered with a dark, ominous energy, and his voice dropped to a deadly tone. "You insolent brats. I'll make sure you understand what it means to disrespect a Warlord of the Sea."

Koby and Te stood their ground, their fists clenched, unshaken by the growing pressure from White Crow. Te, always the jokester, tilted his head. "Paper, huh? Like origami? What are you gonna do, fold us into paper cranes?"

Koby shot Te a glance, half amused, half cautious. "Don't underestimate him. That fruit's no joke."

White Crow's lips curled into a sinister smile. "You're right, Koby. The Pāpu Pāpu no Mi allows me to manipulate and transform anything into paper at will. I can create, fold, or even trap my enemies in layers of indestructible paper… and soon, you'll be nothing but folded memories."

With a flick of his wrist, sheets of paper materialized in the air, swirling around him in an ever-growing storm. The paper gleamed with an otherworldly sheen, sharp as blades, and moved with deadly precision. Within moments, White Crow was surrounded by a whirling vortex of paper, his eyes gleaming with malevolent intent.

Te cracked his knuckles, unfazed by the display. "Alright, Origami Master, let's see what you got."

In an instant, White Crow unleashed the storm. The paper shot forward like a barrage of razor-sharp blades, slicing through the air with incredible speed. Te and Koby dodged, narrowly avoiding the deadly assault. The walls and floor around them were shredded to pieces as the paper embedded itself into the stone like knives.

"Those paper sheets aren't just for show," Koby muttered, ducking under another flurry of paper blades. "We'll have to be careful."

Te grinned, his excitement growing. "Careful's not really my style." With a burst of Nen, Te propelled himself toward White Crow, dodging and weaving through the razor-sharp storm. As he closed the distance, he threw a powerful punch, aiming straight for White Crow's chest.

But just before his fist connected, White Crow's body seemed to dissolve into sheets of paper. Te's punch hit nothing but air as White Crow reformed behind him, smirking. "You'll have to do better than that."

Koby charged in from the side, aiming to catch White Crow off-guard with a precise kick. But once again, White Crow's body shifted into paper, effortlessly dodging the attack. The warlord's laughter echoed through the room.

"You see, boys, you're out of your depth. I control this battlefield," White Crow said, his voice dripping with confidence. "Surrender now, and perhaps I'll let you live long enough to serve me."

Te gritted his teeth, frustration starting to build. "This guy's like a ghost. Can't hit him if he keeps turning into paper!"

Koby's eyes narrowed as he analyzed the situation. "We'll have to pin him down somehow. Make him solid."

Te smirked, cracking his neck. "Sounds like my kind of plan."

With newfound resolve, Koby and Te charged at White Crow together. Koby unleashed a torrent of flames, igniting the air around them, while Te snapped his fingers, causing small but precise explosions to go off around the room. The fire and blasts created a whirlwind of heat and chaos, forcing White Crow to retreat, his paper shields singed and smoldering.

But even as White Crow shifted to paper form to escape the flames, Koby was ready. He ignited his Nen, flames swirling around him, and with a sharp shout, he hurled a concentrated fireball directly at White Crow's retreating form.

"Now, Te!" Koby yelled.

Te didn't hesitate. With a snap of his fingers, he caused a massive explosion right behind White Crow, forcing him into the path of Koby's fireball. The combined attack was too much for White Crow to avoid, and with a hiss of pain, he was knocked back, his paper form flickering and struggling to reform.

The boys didn't let up. Te charged forward, his fists glowing with Nen, ready to land the finishing blow. "Your paper tricks aren't gonna save you now!"

White Crow, now visibly weakened, glared at them with pure hatred. His paper armor was charred and tattered, and he was no longer able to keep up his invincible act. "You… insolent whelps…"

Before he could recover, Te's fist connected with White Crow's chest, the force of the punch amplified by a massive explosion. White Crow was sent crashing into the far wall, his body crumpling under the impact. Dust and debris filled the air as the room shook from the force of the blow.

Te stood over him, breathing heavily, his eyes filled with determination. "Told you, we weren't gonna hold back."

White Crow lay motionless, his paper abilities shattered, his body slumped against the wall. The once-menacing warlord was now nothing more than a defeated wreck.

Koby walked over, his flames dying down as he surveyed the wreckage. "That was intense."

Te nodded, wiping some sweat from his brow. "Guess he wasn't ready for the fireworks."

" His strength was definitely a man with 400 million Berri but he relies so much on his devil fruit his defense was lacking considerably."

"Just like Big Mom son Cracker."

" Paper has too many weaknesses like fire and water if we had to go down that route."
