As I settled into my new family dynamic, a surge of determination coursed through me. When Grandma and Grandpa announced dinner, Zen made his stance clear, refusing flatly to acknowledge his aunt. His disdain was palpable, and he was resolute about keeping her and her boyfriend out of the mansion.
Richard and Teresa, Zen's grandparents, tried to persuade him, desperate for reconciliation following our recent marriage. But Zen was adamant, throwing a tantrum that disrupted the atmosphere.
I had reached my limit with his attitude and decided it was time to intervene. Juggling this family dynamic, especially with his aunt in the mix, was challenging, but I stood my ground.
