He envisioned the place where the Watcher's true body resided—a realm beyond the boundaries of creation, where no mortal had ever ventured. In an instant, he was there, standing in a void of swirling darkness and incomprehensible shapes.
Before him loomed the true form of the Watcher, a colossal entity that defied description. Its many eyes glowed with an light, and its presence was overwhelming.
"How are you here?" the Watcher demanded, its voice echoing through the void.
Alex met its gaze without flinching. "Because I can," he replied simply.
The Watcher roared in fury, its form shifting and expanding as it unleashed its full power. The void trembled, and reality itself seemed to warp under the strain. The eldritch god directed all its might at Alex, determined to erase him from existence.
But Alex remained unfazed. With a calm expression, he raised his hand and, with a mere thought, altered the very essence of the Watcher. In an instant, the towering horror was transformed into a small, fluffy puppy.
The void fell silent as the puppy looked up at Alex with wide, innocent eyes. Alex knelt down and patted its head. "Come here, boy," he said gently.
The puppy wagged its tail and trotted over to him, its previous malevolence completely erased. Alex scooped it up in his arms and smiled. "I'll call you Leo," he said.
With Leo in his arms, Alex returned to his living room. The darkness and the void were gone, replaced by the familiar comfort of his home. He set Leo down on the floor.
As he looked out the window at the peaceful night, he knew that he had done it all because he could.
