''Aaaaah..please, just kill me. '' The man cries, tied to the kitchen table in this farmhouse somewhere in Texas.
A perfect place for a serial killer like him, but this time he is the one being held captive. The man's eyes dart around the room, searching for any possible escape route, but all he sees are the tools of his own twisted trade laid out before him.
''Look what I found,'' Emerald said, waving the jar of salt and vinegar.
''No. No, no.'' The man begged in horror that Emerald was about to do.
''Yes. Yes, yes.'' Emerald replied with a wicked grin, pouring the mixture over the man's wounds, causing him to scream in agony. The tables had turned, and now he was at the mercy of his own sadistic game.
'' Hey, hold still; I am marinating you. Human belly might taste good.'' She said, in getting the knife and just simply slicing a piece of his flesh in his belly. The scream continued to echo through the empty room as Emerald continued her twisted experiment, reveling in the power she now held over her captive. The man's fate was sealed, his screams fading into the background as Emerald's dark desires took control.
''Eat.'' Emerald commanded. His is now sitting at his dining table, where he used to eat, his victims blood dripping on his mouth. Emerald is sitting in front of him.
The man is just looking at her weakly. Giving her a begging look, he cannot speak now as Emerald has cut his tongue already.
''Okay.'' Emerald got up.
''One more before I bring you to the hospital,'' she said, and the man nodded in fear, knowing that his fate was in her hands. Emerald's twisted experiment was far from over, and he could only hope for a chance at survival before it was too late.
''You don't deserve to die,'' Emily whispered in his ear. Before he knocked down.
''Doctors and nurses were now shocked. Seeing a mutilated person with a banner hanging in his neck saying I am a maniac cannibal was dropped in front of their hospital door in Texas. They quickly rushed to his aid, trying to save his life; thankfully, the man is now in the ICU receiving the urgent medical attention he desperately needed. The staff worked tirelessly to stabilize him, determined to give him a fighting chance at survival. ''
''Is this a work of revenge, a hero, or an evil lurking around us? This past few months, we noticed an increase in violent incidents in our community. It's important for us to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.''
The anchorman continued to speak. He urged viewers to stay informed and aware of their surroundings, emphasizing the importance of community safety. As the segment came to a close, he reminded everyone to come together and support one another during these challenging times.
"You think this is connected to our case?" Ryan asked, raising an eyebrow. His partner shrugged. "Tough to tell, but we gotta keep digging, gather more intel."
"Dude, we're in Cali," Ryan said. "That's, like, a whole 'nother world away. We're talking 10 hours of driving, easy."
''And it's not our jurisdiction.'' Jameson nodded in agreement.
"For sure, we gotta keep it open-minded," Ryan said. "Let's keep sleuthing and see where the trail takes us." "We might need to touch base with our Texas connections, get their take," Jameson suggested. Ryan nodded, knowing they might have to go big to crack the case.
"We're not gonna diss their case, we'll just gotta collaborate with our Texas crew to crack this one." Jameson picked up her phone and dialed the number of their Texas counterpart, Detective Martinez. "Martinez," a gruff voice answered.
"Hey, Detective Jameson, California Homicide here. We're seeing some disturbing similarities between our cases and yours." Martinez's tone turned serious."Hold up, partner - you're talkin' about the cannibal case? What's the tie-in?" Jameson briefed Martinez on their case, and they discussed potential links.
"We'll swap notes, y'all. Share our findings, see if we can piece together somethin'." Martinez promised.
"Y'all want in on this case? Ride with us tomorrow to the suspect's ranch. Might find somethin' mighty interestin'." Martinez offered. Jameson agreed, eager to collaborate and solve the mystery together.
"Alright, later. We're en route." Jameson ended the call. Ryan raised an eyebrow. "Connected, you think?" Jameson nodded. "Until we rule it out, all options are on the table."
Emerald's eyes narrowed as she watched Anderson's cooking debacle. "Pathetic."
Just then, her phone buzzed. A message from Robert: "Meet me at the usual place. We have a situation."
Emerald's instincts kicked in. Something was off. She arrived at the meeting point, at a restaurant near Palm Beach, just a few steps away from her condo. Robert awaited, his expression grim. "What's going on?" Emerald asked.
"We've received intel about a potential copycat," Robert replied, his voice low.
Emerald's eyes flashed with anger. "I'll take care of it." Robert handed her a folder containing the details. "Be cautious. This individual might be more cunning than you expect." Emerald nodded, scanning the information.
A name caught her attention: Officer Jameson. Her eyes locked onto Robert's. "What's the connection?"
Robert's expression turned somber. "Jameson's investigating the murders. We can't let her get too close." Emerald just simply looked at the files and Jameson's name on them. "I'll handle it."
''You know rules, Emerald. And mind you, I know what you did with that man. That's a violation of our oath as members of THE DIRECTIVES. '' Robert gazed at her hardened.
Emerald just shrugged. '' I told you. Everything is under my control. And don't be alarmed by that detective you mentioned. I have my ways of handling situations like this." Robert nodded, a sense of unease still lingering in his eyes. "Just be careful, Emerald. We can't afford any mistakes."
And with that, Robert left.
Emerald stays there, enjoying her coffee and looking at the folder where the face of the imposter is printed. She noticed the motion in her watch; she knew someone was stalking her. But she just let the person. And a smile crept in her face, thinking of a naughty way to surprise the person following her.
