Lucia and her team engaged in a difficult battle with the Winged Viper Snake, a mutant creature known for its exceptional healing abilities and agile flying movements. The creature was nearly 30-50 meters long, 20 meters in height and width, and classified as a Delta level mutant. Initially, 20 Adapt evolvers leaded by a middle aged Surpasser were involved in the fight, making the total number 24 including Lucia's team.
Summer, standing at a safe distance, watched in amazement as the mutant creature displayed its formidable power. Even the Surpasser found it challenging to defeat the creature easily. Summer wondered whether the difficulty stemmed from the creature's mutant nature or if the Surpasser was comparatively weak.
To Summer's understanding, defeating a Delta-level creature shouldn't have been that difficult. However, he overlooked the fact that the best of the best usually became Geno Explorers, embarking on adventures in the vastness of space.
As time passed, Lucia and her team's efforts intensified. They launched coordinated attacks with the Surpasser, and slowly, the Winged Viper Snake began to suffer grave injuries from their relentless assaults.
Rudra watched the ongoing battle with a grin. As a Neo-Evolver, the idea of joining in was madness.
"Just a little more…" Rudra muttered under his breath. "I will prove I can do better than my brother. Once the female is dead and the male is cast away, I can finally get all those eggs they've been hiding underground. Quite clever, showing just one egg from the mutant creature couple. But, how can I hide them from my special eye." hia eyes glowed with blut light as he saw the 20 or saw mutant eggs full of Geno essence.
Rudra's plan ran deep; he wanted to get all the eggs without anyone else knowing. Those eggs could be worth millions, if not billions. But in his greed, he disregarded the safety of everyone else.
"Boys, strengthen the sound barrier more so its last scream doesn't reach the male's ears," Rudra ordered a few ordinary men in charge of a strangely shaped vehicle.
"Alright, Boss," they nodded and pressed a button, enveloping the area in a silent dome that blocked all noise from escaping.
"This should keep the male one at bay for a while," Rudra smiled slyly. The plan seemed too perfect to be true.
As Rudra and the others watched, the female began to fall, letting out a piercing scream from its mouth.
"Hissssss…" The sharp hissing reverberated throughout the area, making everyone's ears buzz.
"Hahaha… What a futile attempt! Really predictable!" Rudra smirked, thinking everything had gone according to plan.
After a while, as they were about to finish completely, the worst-case scenario happened.
"HISSSSS…"
Another earth-shattering hiss stormed through, causing the sound barrier to crack with a booming sound.
"My ears… My ears." The vibration of the scream reached their ears, causing a few ordinary people nearby to bleed from their ears. Their eardrums shattered, their expressions pained.
Summer and the others covered their ears reflexively, saving themselves from the distraction.
Everyone looked at the source and found a giant Winged Viper Snake flying toward them from the sky. Its height was nearly 40 meters, and its full body was not yet visible. But its eyes had a chilling gaze.
"Sir, the male one is here. How is that possible?" One of the squad leaders said to Rudra, his voice urgent and trembling with fear.
Lucia and her team moved forward, abandoning the female due to the male's predatory glance.
"Rudra, mind explaining what's going on? You said the male wouldn't be here. And the male clearly looks more powerful than this one." Lucia spoke, her tone accusatory.
Rudra tried to calm everyone down. "Relax, Captain Lucia. We still have the teleportation crystal with us. Please distract it while I activate it and send it away."
Lucia and the others pondered and agreed, feeling reassured.
"Fine, but give us the crystal. You can't get even close to it." Alisha said, snatching the crystal from Rudra's hand.
"Alright, Alisha babe." Rudra sighed, the loss of the teleportation crystal was huge.
Then, Lucia and the others joined the battle once again to send the new guest away.
Summer stood just behind them, feeling tense at seeing such a large creature for the first time. How much more powerful could beasts be deeper in the Primal Zone? He felt uncertain about their journey.
When the Surpasser and other Adapt Evolvers approached to intercept the Snake in the air, the giant creature flapped its wings and spewed out green poisonous miasma.
Instantly, they began to retreat, but a few got caught inside the miasma. Their bodies began to rot, and their harrowing screams echoed like deathly chills..
"Help! I don't want to die," the mercenaries from the Scarlet Lion organization trembled in fear.
The middle-aged Surpasser furrowed his brows, finding the situation critical. He couldn't fly, so the idea of killing the snake seemed far-fetched as he looked at the towering creature before him.
Lucia and her team arrived beside him.
"Mr. Orak, we need to distract it for a moment. We're going to use the teleportation crystal," Lucia said urgently.
Mr. Orak glanced at the crystal in Alisha's hand and felt a wave of relief.
"Alright, younger generation, follow me," he nodded and stepped up to the task. Alisha, on the other hand, was ready with the crystal.
"Alright, let's do it," Alisha muttered, holding the crystal firmly.
As everyone attacked the giant Snake to distract it, Alisha found an opening and threw the crystal at the snake.
Rudra watched her actions intently, and all the color drained from his face.
"Sh*t!" he muttered, looking pale.
At the same time, as if sensing it through its spirituality, the Snake bounced the teleportation crystal back with an invisible force, landing it right before Summer unexpectedly.
Summer only saw a blinding explosion of blue light before him.
