She felt quite uneasy.
Dressed in a black business suit, her figure seemed even more curvaceous among these strong and muscular men.
Her calves were shapely, and she wore high heels, which accentuated her long legs.
She noticed others raising their glasses, so she followed suit, but her mind was elsewhere, unsure of what to say.
His gaze was cold, yet when he looked at her, there was an underlying hint of curiosity.
A male colleague nearby made a joke, "Olivia is looking more and more beautiful, and indeed a belle in our department."
Her cheeks flushed, and she looked up at him, realizing he was staring at her with a slight smile.
The people at the table seemed to notice the unusual look in his eyes when he was looking at her, and they restrained their teasing even more.
After all, he was not an ordinary person. They couldn't afford to offend him, so they contented themselves with joking about her to win his favor.
Clearly, he was quite enjoying the evening, laughing more than usual.
This was not the first time Olivia had met Henry Davis. In the past month, she had already met this powerful man twice.
The first two times, she had been specifically asked by her boss, Mr Williams, to entertain clients to dinner.
It had been almost a year since she started working here, and usually, such tasks were delegated to another sexy and beautiful, savvy girl, but these three times, it was Olivia who was chosen.
Since it was a directive from her boss, Mr Williams, she didn't dare to refuse, and both times, she had encountered Henry.
Now, as she walked to Henry's living place, the cold wind made her shiver. Memories of their meetings played back in her mind.
She remembered him as being quite witty and well-mannered, nothing like the other concupiscent middle-aged men at the dining table.
Each time, she sat opposite him, right by where the waitstaff served the food.
The distance was far, and considering he was a guest of honor, Olivia didn't dare to look at him.
Tonight, Mr Williams had called her to Henry's place to assist him, and before she could ask for details, he hung up, only reminding her to follow Henry's instructions.
Perhaps it was because there might be a party or guests at his place, so he needed assistance!
She remembered once Henry had praised her for taking better care of the banquet than others. Maybe it was for this reason!
Standing at the door, Olivia took a deep breath and knocked at the door.
The door opened, and as she was about to speak, she realized the person who had opened the door had retreated back into the house, so she quickly stepped inside.
As soon as Olivia entered the house, she saw a pair of men's leather shoes carelessly left by the door, so she sorted them out and put on a pair of slippers, walking carefully into the living room.
Curiously, it seemed to be no party or guests. It was deathly quiet!
Olivia stood in the center of the living room. She was filled with confusion, only to find him sitting on the sofa.
"Mr Davis, my boss asked me to come over and assist you. May I ask what I can do for you?" She approached the sofa cautiously and spoke with politeness.
As she spoke, she still couldn't suppress the deep confusion in her heart, carefully looking around. Until that moment, she still thought her boss had sent her to Henry's house to do housework.
Henry looked at her, feeling puzzled. Why did this girl seem to know nothing? Didn't she know why she was asked here?"
She flashed a polite smile and her two hands nervously clasped together..
Half an hour ago, he had just returned from a dinner and received a call from Olivia's boss, saying that Olivia was infatuated with his charm and wanted to ask him some questions in person.
The implication was clear.
He had been drunk and, upon hearing Olivia's name, his mind had immediately gone blank, agreeing to the boss's request without a second thought.
He had always been a person of integrity, with no scandals, even when going out for entertainment.
He never mixed with women, but tonight, for some reason, he had made such a foolish decision.
Perhaps he was just too lonely.
Henry knew why Mr Williams suddenly started to reach out to him. It was because he needed his help.
Given his status in political circles, it was clear what purpose Mr Williams had in sending Olivia over.
"Could you pour me a glass of water?" he noticed her unease and said.
Seeing his gaze sweep over a transparent cup on the coffee table, Olivia quickly placed her handbag on the sofa, picked up the cup, and soon filled it with water.
"Please." She placed the cup on the table, standing respectfully by his side.
As she got closer, she caught a whiff of alcohol in him.
"Have a seat," he said, taking a few sips of water.
After Olivia sat across the table, he set down the cup without looking at her.
Olivia sat quietly, not saying a word.
"Why did you come to my house so late at night? Didn't your boss brief you?" he suddenly looked at her and asked.
Olivia was taken aback and quickly replied, "He told me to follow your instructions."
Before she could finish her words, she heard his faint chuckle, further perplexing her.
"How old are you?" he asked.
"22"
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Not yet!"
She was honest, and he had seen through her from the first time they met. When she blushed while they shaked hands. She was an innocent girl.
Perhaps he shouldn't be playing such jokes with a girl like her, but…
"Mr Davis…" as his hand covered her cheek, she suddenly exclaimed in surprise.
He just smiled lightly and slowly leaned in.
"What's happening? What's going on with him?"
"Mr Davis, you…" she stared at him, feeling her cheeks burning.
He didn't answer her, just gazed at her intently.
The dinner tonight was important, and so he had drunk a bit too much. Even though he had a good tolerance for alcohol, he felt a bit dizzy tonight.
Seeing him motionless, Olivia asked in surprise, "Are you OK?"
Henry was stunned for a moment, but he showed no signs of surprise. Years of experience in political circles had taught him to keep his emotions in check.
Since he had moved to North Carolina two years ago, he had been living alone in this unfamiliar place, and even if he wasn't feeling well, no one would care. But tonight, this young girl…
Henry gazed at her anxious and worried eyes, feeling more inclined to tease her.
He shook his head slightly, but Olivia sensed that something was off, growing increasingly concerned.
"Are you OK? Shall I take you to the hospital?" she hurriedly offered.
Gently holding her trembling hand, he smiled and asked, "Your boss sent you here for a reason, don't you know?"
Her body trembled slightly, feeling a subtle force emanating from the hand he held.
"He asked me to follow your instructions," she said, trying to pull her hand back, but finding his grip tightening.
Perhaps due to nervousness, her cheeks grew redder, tiny beads of sweat forming on her body. In a reflex action, she slightly parted her lips.
As her lips slightly parted in front of him, Henry's mind suddenly went blank, feeling a rush of heat entering.
With the proximity, their warm breaths caressed each other's faces. Everything around them was becoming increasingly blurry.
Just this once, Henry, it's okay, you can make it up to her.
His mind was in turmoil, even hallucinating, seeing her enticing him.
Those plump, rosy lips, like ripe cherries, seemed to be waiting for him to taste them. He wanted to taste her flavor.
To Olivia's astonishment, she felt a hand on her shoulder, they got closer and closer.
What was happening to him? Was he about to collapse?
Just as his lips were about to touch hers, he abruptly stopped his movement towards her.
"Damn it, Henry, what are you doing? Are you out of your mind? If you force her to have sexual relationships, how is that any different from being an animal?"
Sexual relationships between a man and a woman should be consensual; otherwise, it's no different from being animals!"
His actions were halted by the voice in his head. As he slowly released his hands on her shoulder, another voice seemed to chime in.
"Henry, these days, there are no longer innocent girls. She came to your house late at night. Surely she knows what she's getting into?
Even if you're having sex with her now, she's the one who put you there.
If she makes a request now, the ensuing events will become a transaction, and I won't have any psychological burden."
"What do you want? Tell me, I can give it to you," he suddenly asked.
Yeah, as long as she made a request, the ensuing events would become a transaction. He would free himself from any mental burden.
"What? I don't want anything. I am coming here to help you," she didn't understand why he asked such a question. His question made her confused.
Her large eyes flashed before him, and Henry suddenly withdrew his hand.
"Go back now! I need to rest," he picked up the cup and took another sip.
Olivia couldn't understand why he was acting so strangely. Was he really so ill? Yet, he asked her to leave…
He was a big shot. If he asked her to leave, she would have better not to anger him.
"Be more careful in the future!" his voice came from behind her, causing Olivia to abruptly stop in her tracks.
As she turned around, she saw him rising from the sofa and slowly approaching her. "You can go now."
Then she was ready to leave.
However, as she closed the door, she saw him stagger and almost fall down.
Olivia couldn't understand why she had returned and entered the house again, while Henry was even more bewildered.
The alcohol was clouding his mind, leaving him with few brain cells to ponder this issue, let alone control his actions.
What was happening?
Without much thought, Olivia exerted all her strength to help him.
Almost half-carrying him, she found his bedroom and laid him on the bed.
He was so tall and strong, when she assisted him to fall onto the bed, he inadvertently pulled her down as well, pressing her beneath him, both panting heavily.
