Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Kurama: I swear, this is definitely not what I taught.

"I've already explained the reason to Shukaku. I'm too lazy to explain it to you again, so I'll say it just once," Kurama took a deep breath, trying to keep his expression from looking too silly.

"Listen carefully, my Jinchuriki is the reincarnation of Ashura's chakra, and he also carries the chakra of the Sage of Six Paths. He is the blue-eyed boy mentioned in the prophecy of Fukasaku and the Sage of Six Paths."

"Any questions?"

Gyuki: "..."

He couldn't say he had none; he had a lot of questions.

First of all, reincarnation of Ashura's chakra… what is that? Gyuki knew Ashura. Didn't he and Indra fight each other for a lifetime and end up in a love-hate relationship? How could he still be reincarnated?

Secondly, the chakra of the Sage of Six Paths… when did the Sage leave his chakra to Ashura's reincarnation? Didn't that old man split us nine tailed beasts before he died? You cried a lot when he died; when did he leave behind his chakra?

Finally, the prophecies of Fukasaku and that old man… Gyuki knew both prophecies. If it hadn't been for Fukasaku, the Sage might not have even been able to handle his mother. All the tailed beasts knew about this. The Sage mentioned it before he died and even shared Fukasaku's prophecy with them, but none of the tailed beasts cared about it.

So, you're telling me that the person who will save the ninja world and the one who plays around with the nine tailed beasts are the same person?

No, the biggest question is, how does Kurama know all this?

Gyuki was filled with confusion, overwhelmed by too many questions to even know how to respond. He could only stare blankly at Kurama, his eyes wide and innocent, almost as if question marks were floating in his pupils.

After a long pause, he finally looked at Kurama and said, "I can teach you."

If what Kurama said was true, then they really couldn't let that Jinchuriki die, especially since he was supposed to be the one to save the ninja world…

But Gyuki felt like something was off. It seemed like something that should have been very mysterious, but Kurama came in and revealed the answer right away, just like a difficult math problem you can't solve no matter how hard you try, then you ask a genius who gives you the answer but won't explain how they got there.

Is that polite?

"Very good," Kurama nodded in satisfaction. "Oh, and Indra's chakra is also reincarnated, along with the chakra of the Sage of Six Paths. Also, the leader of the Akatsuki has the Rinnegan, which you know is very effective against tailed beasts, so if you run into him, remember to get out of there first."

Gyuki nodded obediently.

What could he say? He couldn't say anything because he didn't know anything, and he was still in a daze.

"Alright, that's about it. For the time being, I'll be here to learn your Tail Clone Jutsu. Once I've learned it, I'll go find the other tailed beasts. Is that okay?" Kurama asked.

"Not a problem," Gyuki nodded.

"But learning that technique might take some time. I'll have Killer Bee take you to Turtle Island so our chakra won't affect the Land of Thunder."

Tailed beasts already have massive chakra, and the process of learning Ninjutsu would likely cause a huge commotion.

"Will Raikage agree?" Kurama asked in surprise. Turtle Island is one of the biggest secrets in the Land of Thunder. Given that Raikage doesn't seem very bright, he probably wouldn't agree, right?

After all, humans even think about fighting among themselves when the world is ending. Wouldn't Raikage just think Kurama is being alarmist?

"It's fine," Gyuki shook his head dismissively.

"Killer Bee is always thinking about escaping anyway. Now that you're helping, it'll be easier. Once we escape, we can find some excuse to take you along."

Tailed beasts don't fight among themselves! They're incredibly friendly! They stand together harmoniously and lovingly to face common enemies! This is a beautiful quality humans don't have!

…Even Kurama almost believed it.

With his self-brainwashing complete, Kurama nodded directly.

"Then I'll wait here a bit, distract Raikage, and once you all escape, come find me in Short Book Street."

"Sounds good." Gyuki agreed, his form slowly beginning to dissolve.

"Wait a second!" Kurama reached out his hand.

Gyuki's figure solidified again.

"Give me some chakra." Kurama held out his fist.

Gyuki nodded and bumped fists with Kurama. His chakra was more than Shukaku's, so he didn't need to ask for more after giving some to Kurama; he wasn't weak like Shukaku.

"Alright, I'm off." After transferring the chakra, Gyuki's figure began to dissolve again.

This time, Kurama didn't stop him, just watched as Gyuki disappeared into the tailed beast space.

"Once I get to Turtle Island, I can ask Matatabi for some more chakra, which will leave just those five guys' chakra left to gather."

It's going to be tough; those five guys won't be easy to find, and from here on out, it'll just be luck.

As his consciousness returned to his body, Kurama controlled Naruto's shadow clone. He was currently near the border of the Land of Thunder. Just a day ahead, he could enter Kumogakure Village directly, but he didn't need to go there yet. He just had to wait for Raikage to find him.

Kurama sat down, stroking his chin.

"Let's see what Naruto is up to."

Three days had passed since Naruto and Jiraiya found Tsunade. According to the original story, Naruto should have just made a bet with Tsunade and started practicing the Rasengan hard, but Naruto still wasn't well. He wouldn't be able to master it in a week or even a year.

Let's check in on that guy.

Kurama closed his eyes, leaving some chakra to ensure the shadow clone wouldn't disappear.

His consciousness returned to his body and connected with Naruto. Then he saw Naruto clinging to Tsunade's leg, crying nonstop, looking like a pitiful mess.

Kurama: "…"

What's going on with this guy?

On the street, Tsunade had a dark expression as she clenched her fists. Jiraiya and Shizune stood beside her, holding her arms on either side, trying to calm her down.

Tsunade was furious, and the veins on her forehead looked like they might burst.

"You two, let go of me! If I don't knock this brat out today, I'll be letting Kushina down!"

"Calm down! Calm down, Tsunade! Naruto's body can't take a punch from you right now," Jiraiya said, sweating. He didn't expect Naruto to be so shameless, but the most important thing now was to stop Tsunade. If she landed that punch, she would really let Kushina down.

"Yeah, Tsunade-sama, he's still a kid!" Shizune kept trying to persuade her.

Tsunade got even angrier after hearing that. "You two, let go of me! And you, little brat, don't think I can't break free! If you don't let go, I'll send you to meet your parents right now!"

"I won't!" Naruto cried, clearly upset. "You promised to teach me my mom's Ninjutsu! Perverted Sage is teaching me my dad's Ninjutsu! You can't go back on your word! If you do, I'll tell my mom and dad when I die!"

Tsunade gritted her teeth. "Alright, you little brat, you've really ticked me off now!"

Chakra exploded, and immense power shattered the street. The ground cracked open, and nearby houses were destroyed. It looked like a beast had descended, all from her just stomping her foot.

Jiraiya, Shizune, and Naruto: "…"

Jiraiya and Shizune exchanged glances and quickly released Tsunade, stepping aside as if they hadn't seen anything. Only Naruto remained, staring up with big, pitiful eyes, clutching Tsunade's leg. As he looked around at the chaos, he suddenly felt like he had messed with the wrong person.

"Crack…" The sound of knuckles cracking echoed in Naruto's ears as Tsunade's face twisted into a dark, frightening expression.

"Brat, have you thought about how you want to die?"

Naruto gulped and nervously laughed.

"I was thinking about dying of old age…"

"Boom!"

Jiraiya and Shizune couldn't bear to look, but then they turned back with curious expressions.

In the sealing space, Kurama covered his face for some reason. Even though it wasn't his face that got hit, he felt the pain. "Heaven's sins can be forgiven, but self-inflicted ones cannot…"

He swore he didn't teach Naruto to cling so stubbornly. He only suggested that Naruto should hang around Tsunade a bit since Kushina and Tsunade were close, and Naruto's personality was a lot like Tsunade's younger brother, Nawaki. If he just stuck to Tsunade a little, she would surely soften up.

But he definitely did not teach Naruto to be this reckless.

No way!
