In the inn, Tsunade sat angrily drinking, looking like she was saying, "I'm not in the mood, so don't bother me." Beside her, Shizune tried to smooth things over, occasionally filling Tsunade's cup.
On the other side, Jiraiya looked helplessly at Naruto, who had a bruised face. Jiraiya couldn't help but think that he had underestimated Tsunade; he thought her fighting skills had dropped after so many years without battle, but she still knew how to hold back enough to not kill Naruto, even if he looked like he had been badly beaten.
Tsunade was impressive. Every time she hit him, she could control her strength perfectly, and now her control was even more skilled. However, Jiraiya didn't expect that the first person to experience her control would be Naruto.
I underestimated him.
Jiraiya sighed inwardly.
At the same time, Naruto, with a bruised face, entered the sealing space, looking resentfully at the laughing Kurama.
This guy had been laughing for half an hour and was still at it. Naruto's angry expression combined with his bruised face was too funny:
"It's all your fault, Kurama! You got me beaten up."
"Ha! When did I tell you to cling to Tsunade like that? You had it coming," Kurama laughed heartlessly. "I told you to bother her without making her angry. You knew Tsunade has a bad temper and still did it. You were just asking for a beating."
Naruto wiped his nose:
"She said she would teach me my mom's Ninjutsu, but when she sobered up, she backed out. Then I remembered what you told me and… couldn't hold back."
The night before, Jiraiya and Tsunade had been drinking together and somehow started talking about their students. After a few drinks, they began comparing them. Tsunade mocked that Jiraiya's students had all died, while Jiraiya teased that Tsunade's students were weak.
They both got heated; Jiraiya claimed Naruto was still alive and could communicate with tailed beast chakra. Tsunade countered that Shizune had already learned half of her medical Ninjutsu and that even Naruto could be healed with her guidance.
Neither Jiraiya nor Tsunade believed the other, leading to a fight. Meanwhile, Naruto, who was practicing the Rasengan nearby, couldn't take it anymore and chimed in, saying that Tsunade was a medical ninja and Jiraiya was a frontline ninja. If Jiraiya could teach Shizune to fight, and Tsunade could teach him medical Ninjutsu, then that would be amazing.
That got them both excited. Jiraiya kept insisting that Shizune should become the heir to Mount Myoboku, while Tsunade latched onto Naruto, saying he should inherit her medical Ninjutsu.
Shizune couldn't argue with Jiraiya and could only awkwardly ask for help.
Naruto wasn't buying any of this. Without a second thought, he directly refused Tsunade. Little did he know that Tsunade thought Naruto didn't like medical Ninjutsu, so she started talking about teaching him the Yin Seal. She even accidentally mentioned that the Yin Seal was his mom's Ninjutsu.
Naruto got excited and insisted that he had to learn this Ninjutsu.
Then… Tsunade sobered up, and the next day, she acted like she didn't even know what he was talking about, giving him a look that said, "What are you saying? I don't understand." Since Naruto couldn't beat Tsunade, he chose to cling to her, and well… you all know how that turned out.
"However, the Yin Seal really suits you as a Ninjutsu. If Tsunade is willing to teach you, you should learn it," Kurama commented.
The Yin Seal, simply put, is like a battery. It can store the chakra you usually gather and creates a diamond-shaped mark on your forehead. When you need it, you can use Yin Seal: Release to draw out that chakra, unleashing powerful energy that boosts your strength, combat ability, and healing.
It's important to note that Yin Seal, Hundred Healings Technique, and Creation Rebirth are three different Ninjutsu, not just one. The Hundred Healings Technique can be combined with Yin Seal: Release to unleash even greater power. In simple terms, it allows for a more precise use of the stored chakra. Creation Rebirth relies on the Hundred Healings Technique to create an even stronger healing Ninjutsu.
In short, it's like having a subconscious tailed beast inside you that you control. Yin Seal: Release lets you use that beast's chakra, similar to the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. The Hundred Healings Technique allows you to harness the beast for greater combat strength, like being a perfect Jinchuriki, while Creation Rebirth lets the beast automatically help you heal when you're hurt, similar to the tailed beast's chakra mode.
The last two techniques depend on the Yin Seal, and without it, they can't be activated.
(PS: There's nothing in the materials I found that says only girls can learn the Yin Seal. The reason it seems that way is that in the original story, only women have used this Ninjutsu.)
(PS2: The PS doesn't count towards the word limit; the author added it after writing everything, fearing that readers might ignore it.)
"But back to the point," Kurama said, leaning in to look at Naruto. "You must have some idea about who your parents are, right?"
Naruto, who was puffed up with anger, suddenly froze. The anger faded from his face, and he fell silent.
After a while, he gently nodded. "Yeah."
"Share your thoughts."
Kurama was curious.
Naruto scratched his head. "Honestly, I find it hard to believe. Before, you guys said my mom and dad died to seal you away. I always thought they were ninjas who took part in the tailed beast chaos twelve years ago, but that day I heard…"
"What?" Kurama asked, laughing.
"When I was sleeping in my room, I heard you talking to the perverted sage," Naruto said, his smile fading a bit. "I actually wasn't asleep that day. I heard you say my dad's name was Minato and my mom's name was Kushina. I'd never heard my mom's name before, but I remember my dad's name."
"Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato."
Kurama silently smiled, not saying a word.
"Isn't that a bit too full of yourself?" Naruto laughed a little sheepishly. "I never thought my dad would be the Fourth Hokage. If I really was his son, how come I was treated the way I was when I was little? Don't you think so, Kurama?"
Even though Naruto was smiling, Kurama could see the sadness in his eyes.
"Tch." Kurama stopped smiling. He had planned to tease Naruto, but now...
"Well, without telling you the whole truth, let me share a bit more, and you can guess the rest. Whether you believe it or not is up to you." Kurama flipped over on the water, looking at the ceiling of the sealing space.
"Your father's name is Namikaze Minato. He was one of the heirs of Mount Myoboku and a student of Sage Jiraiya. Your mother's name is Uzumaki Kushina, the last survivor of the Uzumaki clan from the Whirlpool Village in Konohagakure. Because of her unique qualities, she was chosen as the second Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. Her only family member was Uzumaki Mito, the first Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. Besides them, only four people in Konohagakure were truly close to them."
"Your father's teacher, Jiraiya; your grandmother's grandson, Tsunade; and your school friend, Uchiha Mikoto. The rest can only be called acquaintances, not close friends."
At this point, Kurama looked down at Naruto. "Your father was famous for two Ninjutsu. One was the forbidden space-time Ninjutsu from Konohagakure called Flying Thunder God Jutsu, and the other was his own creation, the A-rank Ninjutsu, Rasengan."
"Your mother didn't have a famous Ninjutsu, but she was known as the Blood-Red Pepper among the people of Konohagakure because of her fiery temper and quick anger. Also... Kushina was the most outrageous of all my Jinchuriki!"
Kurama let out a loud roar, startling Naruto, who had been lost in the story. He shivered and stared at him in confusion.
