Synopsis

Chapter 00: Omniscience

# World:

* Country:

• Empire of Pheoris

• State of Zachesh

• Republic of Inun

• Kingdom of Dinyle

* Living Beings:

• Men: human beings populating the lands after the 7ᵉ advent. They are made up of several races, which makes their skin, morphology and even language different. These differences are influenced by geographical presence in relation to the sun and according to theories and ancient myths, the proximity of certain peoples to places where the arcane stones crashed was important. This gave them their matt colour, and some produced solutions from their bodies that could make them several generations younger.

• OMAH gods: Supreme divinities transcending the existence of life itself, they govern this world. They called upon the ancestor to punish man for his affront to them. According to some writings, they were responsible for the creation of mankind.

• The Ancestor: an omnipotent and omnipresent creature. Its form, appearance and purpose are as yet unknown, apart from the fact that it served the OMAH gods to punish mankind by inflicting cataclysmic damage. She is also suspected of being behind the creation of the draugrs to punish mankind.

• Draugr: a phytomorphic creature with no human capacity for thought or communication. It appeared when the arcane stone was fused with an original plant called TEFLAH, and was reproduced for centuries by alchemists, but to no avail. According to myth, they were created by the Ancestor as a punishment for humanity's attempts to rise up and defy the gods. However, this theory has not been proven.

• Primary Draugr: On average, they stand 3 metres tall and have extremely tough skin. They have the strength to crush a bear's skull or even concrete. They have a core that acts as their heart and source of life. As long as this core is not destroyed, they can regenerate and come back to life. One of their attacks is to produce toxic gas, but if it determines a place as their nest, to kill it a single sergeant is enough, and in case of absence, three soldiers or two first-class soldiers. They like to travel in groups, which is why it's hard to defeat them when they're in a group, because one Draugr always hides another.

• Jengu: Stronger and more imposing than the primary Draugr, this one is a sort of improved version. It can measure up to 6 metres and is distinguished from the others by its ability to launch laser beams that can pierce even a rock, and to launch toxic gases that can contaminate and infect mutated soldiers. Unlike the primary draugr, this one has two cores that must be destroyed at the same time, otherwise one of the cores will regenerate and continue to live. It likes to live alone. Otherwise, it is hostile towards its fellow creatures. The military classes capable of facing it are captains and higher classes.

• Dungeon Draugr: very dangerous, often taking on the appearance of animals and sometimes acting like one. He is still a mystery in this world. They are more powerful and have two or more hearts. Depending on the dungeon, their core is very special and can contain important materials for making weapons.

• Unknown Draugr: This draugr is recognised as being the most hostile of all. He is able to speak through consciousness and control the development of Izumo's infection. He has appeared before Nozel and even performed prayers while holding a newborn baby in his hands, without killing them. He has the ability to appear in places unlikely for a draugr. His existence has been hidden from Lady Dorothy and the army so as not to follow up on the deaths of Izumo and Lide, and also to continue to conceal the mystery of Hiruko's existence and abilities. Even a colonel and several sergeants weren't enough to take her down, which is why she's so dangerous.

*Military coalition: a coalition created by the three kingdoms during the Forgotten Centuries to combat the draugr threat to humanity. This coalition only has the right to intervene to counter the draugr threat and is apolitical towards the situation in the 11 states. It has several ranks similar to those of the government army, but its top brass are Daimios and there are only 11 in the world for each state.

• Sten Klinge: Soulstone blade. This is a weapon encrusted with arcane stone, which delivers sharp, fast, high-frequency attacks that can cut through any steel and more than steel itself. Note that the arcane blade is a mini catalyst for a miniaturised arcane stone. Once the blade is exhausted, the Sten Klinge can no longer cut as usual and becomes a simple kitchen knife.

The Sten Klinge also comes in different forms: spears, nunchucks, shields, etc.

• Bond Breaker: deflects or breaks the bond with arcane magic. This tool is often used to deal with military prisoners or mutated magic users.

* Structure of the army and coalition army:

• DAIMIO: supreme leader and last bastion of the hierarchy of the military coalition belonging to a State, who must have been born in that State or have origins there. However, it can happen that a soldier is born in another country and is naturalised. In this case, they may be allowed to become daimio, alongside the leader of a state, with full power over the army and the country. But a daimio must remain apolitical.

• Adnachiel: strong, fearsome warriors occupying the highest position in the government army hierarchy. At other times during the forgotten century, they took part in the conquest of the world with the first King Dorian. Today, they lead the armies of all 11 states.

• General: requires command of 3 to 4 divisions.

• Colonel: commands a regiment of around 500 men.

• Battalion Commander: commands a company of around 180 men.

• Captain: commands a company of around 180 men.

• Lieutenant: commands a section of around 40 men.

• Sergeant: commands a group of about 8 men.

• Soldier attached first class: performs a basic function, but carries out specific tasks such as maintaining equipment and managing material supplies.

• Soldier: no insignia, no command.

• Recruit: a new member of the army. They undergo intensive basic training to learn the fundamentals of the military. After undergoing genetic mutations, handling weapons, learning survival techniques, discipline, physical conditions and rules of conduct, the recruit is given a basic training course.

*Spells and magic:

• Primary spells: are innate spells that manifest themselves on physical faculties at the age of 5. For example, a child who heals quickly from his wounds, i.e. his spell after mutation, will have a slight advantage in terms of regeneration and recovery. They may also have a tendency to have certain dreams or visions, meaning they are more likely to be lucid.

• Class 1 spells: These are often basic spells that you learn immediately after mutation with Arcane Stones. These spells often focus on physical abilities and mastery of their slaker or stenklinge.

• Class 2 spells: these are spells which, after several periods of training, can influence the physical parts of their body or even change the very nature of the environment or natural elements.

• Class 3 spells: unlike class 2 spells, these are much more complex and require a high level of arcane magic as well as a great mastery of the power of their dungeon stone and the possibilities offered by this spell. These possibilities are incredible and, for some users, can go as far as influencing or controlling their target's will, teleporting or altering their state (immobilisation, etc.), and much more, going against the laws of physics known to the world. Its holders are often sergeants or superiors in the army.

*ARCANE STONE :

• Arcane stone: stones authors of magic in the world and often in military use. Its origins are complex, as it first appeared attached to comets, sent by the ancestor to destroy kingdoms. Nowadays, it is available in the earth and mine quarries, and is often used to make technological instruments.
