Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Fugaku, I’m Dissapointed

Uchiha Fugaku frowned deeply as Uchiha Kisaragi suddenly arrived at his house with a group of people.

He wanted to ask about the promises Kisaragi had made to him earlier, but with so many people around, he felt too embarrassed to bring it up. After all, such matters could only be discussed in private.

"Fugaku, do you know why I'm here?" A playful smile appeared on Kisaragi's face.

"What are you doing here? Are you going back on the promise you made to me before?" Uchiha Fugaku took a few steps forward and asked Kisaragi in a low voice.

"What do you think?"

Although Kisaragi didn't deny it outright, Fugaku could already guess his intentions. Sure enough, Kisaragi had never planned to uphold his promise. In fact, he had no intention of withdrawing from the competition for the position of clan patriarch. It was impossible that he would give up the title for Fugaku.

"Uchiha Fugaku, I came here to arrest you." Kisaragi waved his hand, and Uchiha Shin and Uchiha Jin, standing behind him, moved swiftly, placing their blades against Fugaku's neck.

Caught off guard due to his injury, Fugaku couldn't react in time.

"What is the meaning of this? Kisaragi, if you don't release me, I'll expose everything you've done!" Fugaku shouted angrily.

Betraying his trust was one thing, but now Kisaragi was trying to bring him down completely. Did he think Fugaku would just stand by and let it happen?

If Fugaku revealed the affair between Kisaragi and Uchiha Mikoto, Kisaragi's reputation would plummet. After all, at that time, Mikoto was still engaged to Fugaku, and what they did was highly immoral. Of course, it would also be a huge embarrassment for Fugaku, which is why he had kept quiet about it. However, if pushed too far, Fugaku didn't mind burning everything down, even if it meant mutual destruction.

"I've done nothing wrong. My conscience is clear." Kisaragi showed no shame, his face betraying no embarrassment—a testament to his thick skin.

"On the contrary, Uchiha Fugaku, it was you who forced Mikoto to play the role of a seductress, hoping I'd back your claim to become clan patriarch."

"Mikoto was your fiancée at the time. No wonder you broke off the engagement—because you used her as a pawn in your scheme! How could someone as despicable as you exist in our Uchiha family? If word gets out, what will the other families in Konoha think of us?"

Kisaragi's scathing words caused an uproar among the people gathered around, and soon the Uchiha clan members were buzzing with gossip.

When Kisaragi stormed into Fugaku's house, the commotion had already drawn attention from other Uchiha clansmen. Many of those who were neutral had come to watch the spectacle, while those who supported Kisaragi took the opportunity to cause trouble for Fugaku.

Now, hearing Kisaragi's shocking accusation, everyone looked at Fugaku with disbelief.

Some of the onlookers stared at him with contempt. They hadn't expected Fugaku to stoop so low.

When the news had initially spread that Fugaku had broken off his engagement with Uchiha Mikoto, many had found it strange, even wondering if Fugaku had lost his mind. They knew that breaking off the engagement would mean losing the support of the clan's elders. Wasn't he sabotaging himself?

But now, with Kisaragi's revelation, everything made sense. Fugaku had supposedly used Mikoto in a bid to win Kisaragi's favor and help secure his position as clan patriarch, even going so far as to sacrifice his fiancée.

Though his move was undeniably ruthless, it didn't stop people from looking down on him.

At this moment, Uchiha Fugaku's face was bright red.

Seeing his face flush, the onlookers assumed it was out of shame, and their contempt only grew stronger. They had no idea that Fugaku's face was red with anger, not embarrassment.

Fugaku realized that Kisaragi had completely outmaneuvered him.

When he opened his mouth to protest, Kisaragi's Three Tomoe Sharingan locked onto Fugaku, and the intense pressure made it difficult for Fugaku to even move.

"How is this possible? How could he be this strong? Has he reached Kage-level?" Fugaku thought, furious at his own helplessness.

"Look, Uchiha Mikoto is here!" someone shouted from outside. Some of Fugaku's supporters brightened with hope, thinking Mikoto might reveal the truth and expose Kisaragi's lies.

"Mikoto, did Lord Fugaku really force you to use your beauty to manipulate Kisaragi? I hope you'll tell the truth," Uchiha nameless asked, his face dark with concern. The situation had become dire for Fugaku, and Mikoto's response could change everything.

"I hope you think carefully before you answer," his words carrying a subtle threat.

"Are you trying to intimidate her?" Kisaragi turned his head and shot a sharp look at nameless uchiha.

The sight of Kisaragi's Sharingan, which radiated immense pressure, made that nameless uchiha breath hitch. Instinctively, he activated his own Three Tomoe Sharingan. However, despite both of them possessing the same dojutsu, immediately realized that his Sharingan's power was far inferior to Kisaragi's.

It was only natural—Kisaragi had already awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. Even though he was only using the basic Three Tomoe form now, his pupil power was far more terrifying than before.

"Fugaku threatened my grandfather's life to force me into becoming Kisaragi's woman. He wanted me to gather dirt on Kisaragi so that he couldn't become clan patriarch," Uchiha Mikoto said, repeating the words Kisaragi had taught her. Her delivery wasn't perfect, as this was the first time she'd lied like this, but she said it nonetheless.

"Mikoto, you…" Fugaku started to speak, but was immediately silenced by Uchiha Shin, who kicked him, knocking him to the ground.

"Shut up. You have no right to speak."

"Fugaku, I can't believe you'd stoop so low. I misjudged you." A Uchiha Jōnin who had once supported Fugaku now looked at him with disappointment. He had risked everything—even his fiancée—for his ambitions. How could anyone feel safe working under such a person?

In an instant, three-quarters of Fugaku's supporters turned their backs on him. The few who remained were his closest confidants, but even they looked conflicted, though they didn't abandon him.

"Fugaku, you're truly despicable," Kisaragi said, shaking his head, as though the very sight of Fugaku disgusted him.

"While what Fugaku did isn't worthy of death, someone like him has no place in the Uchiha clan. I propose we expel Fugaku from the family. What do you all think?"

Kisaragi's true motive was now revealed. Expelling Fugaku from the Uchiha family had been his goal all along.
