"Come on, try your Eye technique."
Kisaragi brought Uchiha Mikoto to the Uchiha family's training ground. This was a private training ground, so only Kisaragi and Mikoto were present.
Mikoto stood opposite Kisaragi and activated her Mangekyō Sharingan.
As soon as Mikoto opened her Mangekyō Sharingan, Kisaragi instantly performed the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique, launching a massive fireball toward her.
In response, Mikoto simply raised her hand. As the fireball approached, it was absorbed instantly.
"How's the chakra consumption?" Kisaragi asked Uchiha Mikoto.
Using this pupil technique naturally came with a chakra cost.
"It's manageable. The consumption is much less than using Tsukuyomi, but the chakra cost of Ten no kyūshū isn't fixed. The stronger the absorbed ninjutsu, the greater the consumption," Mikoto replied.
This was her first time using the technique, and as she used it, she grew more familiar with its workings.
"Try absorbing more chakra again."
Kisaragi took out a pair of Three Tomoe Sharingan.
These eyes had belonged to Uchiha Shimada, whom Kisaragi had killed. Afterward, he had Uchiha Shin extract the Sharingan for future use.
Originally, Kisaragi had planned to transplant them to clan members who couldn't awaken their Sharingan, but after receiving them from Shin, he had forgotten about them until now. Now, they were the perfect tools to help
Uchiha Mikoto test her pupil technique.
"These eyes?"
Mikoto was visibly shocked as she looked at the pair of Three Tomoe Sharingan in the container.
"These are Uchiha Shimada's eyes. I killed him and kept the eyes for later use," Kisaragi explained, casually fishing one out from the bottle. The eyes were well-preserved and undamaged.
Mikoto hesitated as she looked at the Sharingan.
"What's the hesitation? You'll get used to it after a while," Kisaragi said. He was not one to be burdened by sentiment. His nature, shaped by his system, compelled him to follow a path of darkness.
Kisaragi intended to slowly change Mikoto's overly kind nature. Fortunately, she had one key trait in her favor: obedience.
After hesitating for a moment, Mikoto finally took the Sharingan from Kisaragi and activated her Ten no kyūshū technique.
When absorbing ninjutsu, Ten no kyūsū consumed chakra, but when absorbing a Sharingan, it didn't require any chakra at all.
In fact, absorbing the Three Tomoe Sharingan replenished the chakra she had expended earlier with her Mangekyō Sharingan, even enhancing her ocular powers. This meant that, even without Senju Hashirama's cells, Uchiha Mikoto could continue using her Mangekyō Sharingan without the risk of going blind—as long as she had enough Sharingan to absorb.
Whether or not she could absorb the chakra from a Byakugan remained to be seen, though Kisaragi considered the possibility of having her try it in the future.
To test that, however, they would need to deal with the Hyuga clan. The members of the Hyuga branch house were cursed with the Caged Bird Seal, which had the ability to destroy their Byakugan upon death. If the seal was activated, it could also cause brain damage, effectively rendering the individual brain-dead. The Hyuga clan's main family controlled the life and death of the branch house members through this seal.
"If there's a chance in the future, we should gather more Sharingan for Mikoto. Maybe, after absorbing enough, she could even evolve into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan," Kisaragi mused.
He knew it was possible in theory—similar to how the branch members of the Ōtsutsuki clan on the moon had gathered the entire clan's chakra to create the Tenseigan.
Unfortunately, even if Mikoto could achieve the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan this way, it was a method that couldn't be replicated. It would be unique to her.
"Now, I'll perform the Fire Style techniques I've learned. You can copy them," Kisaragi said.
He then demonstrated the Fire Style: Fire Extinguishing and Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation, deliberately slowing his hand seals.
One of Sharingan's basic abilities is copying ninjutsu and taijutsu. What others must spend time and effort mastering can be instantly learned by an Uchiha. This was one reason why the Uchiha clan was so formidable.
However, not every Uchiha could awaken their Sharingan. Many in the clan still hadn't awakened it, and a large number of them never would.
After Mikoto successfully copied both Fire Style techniques, Kisaragi took her back and summoned Uchiha Shin.
"Kisaragi-san, do you have a mission for me?" Uchiha Shin asked as he arrived promptly.
"Go to Uchiha Bob house and retrieve his eyes," Kisaragi ordered.
Kisaragi had decided to invest in Mikoto's growth. Given her loyal nature, she would never betray him after their marriage. If her eyes had the potential to evolve into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Kisaragi was willing to support her development.
It's important to note that the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan are entirely different levels of power. Only the latter can unlock the full power of Susanoo, the true God of Destruction.
" I understand, Kisaragi-san," Uchiha Satoru replied.
Although Uchiha Bob had once been an Elite Jōnin, his strength had been crippled to the point that even a Chūnin could kill him easily. He had been abandoned by Uchiha Fugaku because of his uselessness.
Since Uchiha Bob had no value anymore, Kisaragi figured his eyes might as well be used to nurture Uchiha Mikoto.
Mikoto, who had been standing next to Kisaragi, hesitated. Her kind nature made her want to refuse Kisaragi's actions, but since he was doing it for her, she didn't know how to object.
Kisaragi glanced at her, easily seeing the conflict in her eyes.
This was typical of Mikoto, but Kisaragi was confident that, over time, he would shape her into the person he wanted her to be.
Under his guidance, Mikoto would eventually become his greatest ally.
