"What did you say, Uchiha Kisaragi went to the elder's house and stayed for more than two hours before leaving?"
Listening to the report from his informant, Uchiha Fugaku's face turned gloomy and uncertain. On closer inspection, one could see that his expression was becoming more and more grim.
The First Elder had previously been with him, and Uchiha Mikoto was the only one at the elder's house now. Two people, alone together for more than two hours—unless someone was incredibly naive, it was hard not to imagine the worst.
"Do you know what Uchiha Kisaragi did?"
The three tomoe of Fugaku's Sharingan loomed in his eyes, glowing blood red, his breathing quickening with anger.
The informant, carefully gauging Fugaku's mood, continued to report the truth.
"My lord, I only dared to observe from a distance, but I saw Uchiha Kisaragi hug Uchiha Mikoto at the door. Then, when Kisaragi was about to leave, Mikoto pulled him back inside."
"What happened next, I do not know. The door was closed."
He had been observing from a distance, too far to hear what Kisaragi and Mikoto said. Even with close observation, he could only discern the general situation. He was also afraid of being discovered by Kisaragi if he got too close.
However, Kisaragi had already noticed him, and what he was reporting to Fugaku was exactly what Kisaragi wanted Fugaku to know.
"Bang!"
Uchiha Fugaku flipped the table over in fury. The sound of crashing furniture echoed through the room as his anger manifested in violent outbursts.
His Sharingan spun rapidly, the three tomoe almost merging into one, but, unfortunately, it still failed to evolve into the Mangekyō Sharingan.
It seemed the pain wasn't intense enough yet.
"Kisaragi!!"
Fugaku roared, his voice seething with hatred.
"Pfft!"
Suddenly, a knife pierced the informant's heart.
"This matter must never spread. You have to die."
If this information got out, how could he ever become the patriarch of the Uchiha clan after being made a fool of? It would certainly destroy his chances of taking that position. Even though Fugaku suspected he had been betrayed, he would have to hold his rage back. Only by becoming the clan's head could he settle things with Uchiha Kisaragi.
And as for that woman, Mikoto—Fugaku's hands clenched into tight fists.
Once, he had been very satisfied with Uchiha Mikoto, his fiancée, and was even proud of her. After all, she was considered as one the beautiful women in the Uchiha clan.
Even in the whole of Konoha, Mikoto's beauty was easily among the top three.
But now, Fugaku couldn't wait for that woman to die.
An impure woman was not fit to be the wife of the patriarch.
"First Elder… do you really support me?"
After discovering that Uchiha Mikoto and Kisaragi had an affair, Fugaku no longer trusted the First Elder.
[Ding, you have successfully alienated the relationship between Uchiha Fugaku, the First Elder, and Uchiha Mikoto. Reward: 8,000 Evil Points.]
"I really don't know how this system calculates rewards," Kisaragi shook his head, but it was clear he had hit the jackpot this time.
Not only had he enjoyed himself, but he had also succeeded in sowing discord among them, and now the system was rewarding him. Kisaragi was making a hefty profit.
"So many Evil Points… it's time to buy something."
If he hadn't already obtained the Mangekyō Sharingan, Kisaragi would definitely not have been willing to spend the points, instead saving them to purchase a Mangekyō. But now that he had it, it was time to use the points.
"System, are there only items from the Naruto world in the store?"
[The store only displays items from the world the host currently resides in. Items from other worlds are not for sale and can only be obtained through rewards.]
"Some of this is really expensive."
The cheapest S-rank ninjutsu cost 100,000 Evil Points, and some items were so expensive they couldn't even be bought.
Bloodline traits, needless to say, were even pricier than ninjutsu.
There were also various secret techniques, such as the Nara clan's shadow imitation jutsu, which were expensive as well.
"Hatake family swordsmanship costs over 100,000 points."
No wonder Hatake Sakumo earned the nickname "Konoha's White Fang" for his swordsmanship. Its value was high.
"Is it possible to buy eye abilities? Obito's Kamui phase-shifting costs 250,000 points. If both eyes are combined, it totals 500,000 Evil Points. That's more expensive than buying a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan! Ridiculous!"
Still, Obito's Sharingan abilities were undeniably powerful. Among the original characters, Obito's Mangekyō abilities were certainly the most broken.
But no matter how powerful, they paled in comparison to Kisaragi's ability to stop time.
"Flying Thunder God Technique costs 300,000 points? That's too expensive. I thought I was rich, but it turns out I'm actually broke."
Kisaragi realized he couldn't afford the things he wanted, such as the Flying Thunder God Technique or Obito's Kamui.
He could buy Hatake's swordsmanship for 120,000 points, but he was hesitant to spend his points on that.
"Sakumo isn't dead yet. Maybe I can obtain it another way. The Uchiha clan's sword techniques aren't bad either."
Recently, Kisaragi had recruited members of the Uchiha clan to train in swordsmanship. Their skills were comparable to the Hatake clan's, especially considering the Uchiha were one of the great clans during the Warring States period.
While their Sharingan and Fire Style jutsu were most well-known, the Uchiha also possessed other talents.
One of the Sharingan's abilities was to copy techniques. Although it couldn't copy secret arts or bloodline abilities, it could copy most taijutsu, ninjutsu, and swordsmanship.
"I'll buy Chidori and save the rest of the points."
Kisaragi had already mastered Rasengan, as anyone who had seen the training methods in Naruto could learn it. The more you practiced, the better you became.
Purchasing the A-rank Lightning Style: Chidori cost Kisaragi 50,000 Evil Points. Among A-rank jutsu, Chidori was relatively expensive.
But with Chidori, Kisaragi could develop Raikiri, or even create variations like Chidori Nagashi and other Chidori-based techniques.
In any case, Chidori was well worth the price.
"Captain, is there any mission for us?"
Uchiha Shin and Uchiha Jjn entered Kisaragi's house.
"I do have a task for you."
"Captain, we'll make sure to complete it."
They were incredibly loyal to Kisaragi, willing to carry out any mission he assigned them, no matter how dangerous.
"Go and deal with the Second and Third Elders. Shouldn't be a problem, right?"
Uchiha Fugaku had visited them earlier in the day. If nothing else, they were likely supporting Fugaku.
Just as Uchiha Fugaku had sent people to monitor Kisaragi, Kisaragi had sent his own spies to keep an eye on Fugaku. Fugaku had given the elders generous gifts, and those two old men were now supporting him.
Since they were now an obstacle to Kisaragi, they had to be eliminated.
