Chapter 1 - The Beginning After the End.

 {Wake up, young warrior.}

 A voice stirred Vivillian's consciousness, as his closed eyes slowly squinted open, and saw a blurry bright figure stretch out their arms towards him.

 Who are you?

 His thoughts were heavy, as if something were blocking his mind from thinking too much, his eyes had the strong urge to close, and he felt like he was in a drunken stupor.

 {I'm sorry.}

 What are you apologizing for?

 {I didn't mean for this to happen.}

 ....?

 The hand reached out and touched his eyelids, closing them softly.

 {I hope for you to have a full life before you meet me again.}

——

 "Viv? Are you there?" A woman's voice was heard, concerned as she stopped hanging the laundry, and peeked over the corner, trying to find her absentminded son.

 A 6 year old boy sat on a stiff chair, his eyes were an emerald green and his hair a chocolate brown. Sprouting from the messy hair, a pair of animal like ears twitched at his name being called, and a wavy cat's tail appeared from behind him, flickering.

 His daze was soon replaced by clarity in his eyes, as he called back.

 "Yes?"

 "Can you grab me some water from the well, sweetie?" Mayble seemed apologetic for asking such a thing, even though they were barons, they lived in such poverty after the war that they were basically commoners.

 "Of course." Vivillian slowly stood up, his eyes clear as he walked out of the house with a bucket, reminiscing of his past.

 He was not Vivillian Ambrosia, son of Mayble Ambrosia and current heir of the Ambrosia household. His real name was Asher Xern, a 28 year old ordinary man from Earth.

 There is not extraordinary story of how he ended up being reincarnated into the cliche game, "Love and Drama in Another World!" One day, he had fallen asleep as usual and when he opened his eyes, he was in a land of fantasy.

 Nothing remarkable made Asher special enough to be in this situation, average personality, job, love life, and family. Even though he knew of possible future events that might plague the Slachal Empire later on, Asher only planned to make a small fortune to retire in the countryside by investing.

 As Asher walked along the stone path to the community's well, his shoes clacked against the stone, with the flowers in the cracks of the path energetically springing back to life after he removed his foot over them.

 Setting his bucket down, he slowly began to turn the drawstring, and the big bucket in the well slowly descended into the dark depths.

 As he sat down next to the well, Asher slowly began to raise the bucket filled with water steadily.

 However, life is not always without hiccups.

 "Oh look, it's the little wannabe noble." A kid with black hair and brown eyes approached Vivillian, sneering as his eyes scanned him.

 The kid's name was Elva, a normal commoner boy that had once tried to make friends with Vivillian long ago.

 It was unfortunate though because Elva had introduced himself shortly after Vivillian had reincarnated into the world at age 5. During the first few months of his new life, reality still had not been accepted by Vivillian, who treated everyone and everything coldly, even his mother had not been spared.

 For Mayble's sudden bright and lively child to have such a personality switch caused her to summon doctors and magicians of all kinds with her savings, wanting to know if something were plaguing her son.

 Elva was the son of one of the village doctors, who was sent to try and accompany him and find out the cause of his personality disorder.

 ..

 "Vivillian...? What a nice, unique name!" Elva prattled excitedly in Viv's room, admiring the miscellaneous ornaments hung around and the bed quality.

 "My name is Elva, what's yours?" The black haired kid grinned, outstretching his hand to try and touch Viv.

 A resounding slap was heard, as Viv apathetically hit Elva's approaching hand. His eyes didn't show a trace of remorse as he stared directly at Elva.

 "Do not talk to me, do not touch me, do not try and act like friends with me, do not associate with me." Vivillian's first longest sentence in this world was this phrase. "You are not on the same status of me."

 "..H-How could you..." Almost immediately, Elva had tears in his eyes as loud cries escaped his mouth. He ran out of that room, and never came back.

...

 Ever since then, the kid has had a grudge against Viv, thinking that the way Viv behaved back then was because Vivillian was a stuck up wannabe noble who's pride was too great to associate with him.

 Even though Mayble apologized for Viv's actions and Elva's dad tried to reintroduce them after Viv had calmed his cold demeanor down, it was no use.

 Vivillian wouldn't blame Elva for holding a grudge, nor did he care enough to try and get it resolved. After all, why would he be so concerned over an unimportant village boy?

 The only people in this accursed cliche reality are the main video game characters in LaD (Love and Drama). But even they were limited strings of code strung together by visual artists who meticulously made their appearance to be attractive.

 Slowly, Vivillian's eyes refocused back to reality and back to the situation on hand.

 Elva seemed to get even more angry as he realized that Viv wasn't even paying attention, or acknowledging him.

 "...Change my butt, I thought I'd come here and give it one last try to be friends, but you're really unbelievable!" Angered, Elva ran forward, grabbing the wells bucket full of water, and doused it all over Vivillian in a fit of rage.

 After seeing the soaked appearance and unimpressed expression on Viv's face, Elva indignantly left and ran away.

 For a moment, Viv just sat there, letting the water drip from his soaked body, before he wiped his eyes and began to draw more water.

 Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly frowned and quickly hurried to gather the water.

 All around the well, were wildflowers that had slowly bent their precious stems towards Viv's direction. A certainly magical scene for a kid that was doused and soaked with well water. However, Asher didn't appreciate such the obvious spectacle.

 He was here for too long, he had been careless.

 Grabbing the well bucket and dumping it into his own, Viv walked back home.

 What was with this accursed thing...
