Chapter 14 - Chapter 14-Nothing

As Evening was approaching, the Lessons have finally ended. Nothing much happened in them or in between the Lessons.

Now, after leaving the Room, Victoria stops me, wanting to talk to me. I keep silent. She proceeds to walk with me. We both walk in an almost exact pace. Once we have walked out of the School Gate, I see Heira already waiting for me, but I don't smile, I just stand there. Victoria on the other hand looks dumbfounded.

We haven't talked at all after our Magic lesson and I blame myself for that, I blame myself for everything. This Teacher, she has put these Emotions back up, she is th-

"Shhhh, it's all good now." I snap out of my Trance and look up. I see Heira embracing me, hugging me. She has an angry look at Victoria, probably thinking she is at fault.

"S-she isn't..." That is all I can say currently. But it seems like Heira understood what I meant, as she lets go of me and starts talking to Victoria.

I only hear a bit, since I'm still a bit in a Trance.

But from what I could catch, Victoria and Heira are actually Niece and Aunt. What is more, all this Day Victoria tried talking to me, but I didn't even realize. The worst thing is, I apparently kept mumbling to myself. And the Things I said where the things of the Magic Lesson. Or at least what I thought it was. Apparently I started spacing out after answering the Question about the Human using Magic. And the whole Story I told was all in my Head, only Victoria heard me mumbling it, since she was next to me all the Time.

But what I'm asking myself is, how did no one help me, or even bet an eye?

It's like no one cared for me.

"But... why did no one say anything? Not even... you..." I barely whisper the last words.

Victoria answers, or at least I think so. "Well, I guess it's because you are not real?"

I gasp in shock and look at her. What does she mean, I'm not real?

I try to talk but I can't. I try to walk, but I can't. I try to breathe but I can't. I try to-

Suddenly everything went black. I can't see, hear or feel anything. I can't smell a thing either. Not even the Rain that was going on a few seconds ago.

I try to look around, but nothing. Nothing but nothingness.

Nothing. It's the only thing that comes to my Mind. Nothing.

It's like an eternal spiral. Nothing. As if that is what I deserved.

Nothing. I open my Eyes.

I see nothing, but I hear something. It's laughter. Laughter of Children running in the Hallway.

I try to listen.

Nothing. Somehow I begin to see and feel. I see many different books and figures. I decide to walk. But Nothing.

Nothing is me and nothing is following me. Nothing is before me.

But why is nothing? What is nothing? Why am I nothing?

I feel something. I feel pain. Immense pain. But... it... never... was... nothing...

Something. Something is never nothing.

I open my Eyes.

I see something.

I try to listen and touch.

I hear and feel something.

I breathe.

I wake up.

I turn my Head and see Victoria. Or at least I think it is her.

She looks a bit older. But not old enough that I don't recognize her.

I look at myself. My Hands look larger, but not large enough that I wouldn't recognize them.

I speak.

"What? How? Victoria?" She smiles, but has tears in her eyes.

She holds my Hand tightly. A glimpse to the future.

I want to change it. I want to change everything.

I think I'm dying. Dying again? No, but this is the first Time I'm dying?

No, I already died.

I died before, in my old Life.

But... how?

I can't remember. I don't have any memories.

I wake up.

I see the roof. A roof that looks like a Medical Facility.

Next to me is... Victoria. Again, but this time... she looks the same.

"What is going on? What is happening to me?" I say, but Victoria is just shaking her Head and grabs my Hand.

"It's time for you to wake up." She says.

"Wake up?" She doesn't give me an answer to the Question, rather...

I wake up. I hear crying. I hear screams.

I blink. The screams stop. The crying stops.

I breathe.

I open my eyes.

I feel tears on my face, falling from above.

I see... Victoria, she is crying.

This time... I talk immediately.

"Is this real?"

"What do you mean real? Of course it is! You just collapsed a few minutes ago!"

I look around. Students are surrounding me, in the Middle is me and Victoria. I see our Teacher, the Teacher of our first Lesson.

"What happened?" I ask.

"You collapsed, right before you wanted to give your Speech." Victoria has a faint smile, as if she's trying to hide her Happiness for me being alive.

"Wait, so everything was just a Dream?"

"What do you mean? Have you had a very long and bad Dream?"

"No, not really long, but bad."

Victoria hugs me. It's our first day together, but I already feel like as if we are Friends.

The Teacher talks to me. "Seems like someone infiltrated your Mind. I can't say what for or even why, but I am certain that it was to find out something or to show you something."

"I saw a glimpse of the future, a gruesome future." I cry.

"Mhm. Seems like a warning. Did you see anything else? Any hints?"

"No not re-" I just remembered, the moment where I was in the Hospital, with Victoria beside me. We were both young, but we actually looked different. And the Building looked modern.

I look at Victoria. "- well actually, there was something. Victoria was always in my dreams. And one time... actually, nevermind." I stop talking.

I will tell Victoria all this privately later on.

The Teacher looks at me and shakes his Head. "Okay, but if you need help, just tell us please." I nod. The Teacher helps me up and walks over to the Board. "Alright. Lyara won't hold a Speech, we will make an exception for the first time."

The Teacher nods at me and I sit right next to Victoria. The seat is the same, but the Books aren't.

"Alright, today we will learn the Basics of our Language!"

The Teacher starts his Lesson and everything seems normal.

But one thing is bugging me, why did I dream all this?

As the Lesson proceeds, nothing really happens, except for the Fact that almost everything is the same as in my Dream. But this Time I act differently. I pretend to still be writing, like Victoria and I don't talk with her.

After we finished, we don't give our Sheets to the Teacher, but actually keep them for later.

As the Break begins, the Teacher walks out and I start talking to Victoria.

"The Dream was a Vision." I say.

Victoria tilts her head. "What do you mean?"

"In the Dream we did the same thing, but I actually wanted to give the Teacher the Paper early, so you warned me to not do it. This time I didn't."

"Oh, and was there anything else in your Dream?"

"Well... only that you are apparently as smart as me?"

We both giggle. "Yes, that's right, but-"

"I know, I will keep it a secret." She looks a bit surprised but then smiles.

After Breaks end, the next Teacher comes into the room. It's the Magic Teacher, she looks exactly the same and behaves the same. But this time she doesn't show any pictures or anything. The curtains stay open too.

She starts explaining who she is and nothing more. After that she briefly explains what we should be preparing for these lessons and then the lessons is already over.

As Break starts I speak with Victoria. "Seems like some things have completely changed."

"Oh, did this thing not happen?"

"Well, the Teacher is the same, but the content of the lesson isn't."

"Well, was it better than this?"

"No, not really." We both laugh.

"But I have a question. Do you know who Heira is?" I don't know why, but I had a feeling I should as this question.

Victoria looks surprised, but she proceeds to answer my Question.

"Yes. If you mean the Kings Guard, then I know her. She is my Aunt."
