Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 - Change

Now, being at Home I quickly go to Bed and decide to look at my Phone again.

"Man, this feels like old Times." I mumble to myself.

I decide to look through the Internet. And then something comes to my Mind...

If I can look up anything on this Phone, can't I also look up how the industrialization started?

I quickly go over to the Encyclopedia and after only searching for the term, I immediately can read how the Industrial Revolution works. I read through it for a bit.

But then I think to myself. "Wouldn't that ruin this World and its development? I mean, it even has Magic, why would it need an Industrial Revolution, when you can just use Magic?"

After thinking that, I close the App and just keep it as a side note in my Mind.

After that I look at the Battery Percentage of my Phone. It's still at 100%... weird. It didn't go down a single bit.

I just shrug it off, turn off my Phone and put it on my Night Drawer. I then go to sleep.

It's another Morning, but somehow I feel different. More at ease than before. I think for a while, but then I realize... I didn't have any bad dreams this night. For the first time in years!

I can't help but smile and feel happy. But... what is the reason for that?

Well! I don't care! At least I don't have anymore Nightmares!

I quickly get up and dress myself for School, that is until I look into my Mirror.

I... look different. I somehow have a dark reddish aura around me. My Eyes have become a deep red and they are sort of glowing. My already white hair has somehow become even whiter. And... I look older. At least a few years older.

What happened?

"I mean, at least my expression looks menacing, I guess." I try to laugh it off.

Suddenly I hear knocking on the Door.

"My Queen, we need to get you ready for your Coronation."

What? Coronation? What happened?

Reluctantly, I open the Door. But when I look outside, I see no one.

Suddenly I feel something behind me, but before I can turn around, everything goes black and I only hear the splatting of Blood... and then... nothing.

I wake up, drenched in Sweat. Before I think about anything, I quickly go over to my Mirror. I look normal again. I sigh and feel relieved.

I then think about the Dream I had.

"Another bad Dream, huh..." I sigh.

What could that Dream have meant? I can't really think about it. It lies so far into the future.

But one thing I can know. I seem to change somehow. Either only Physically or even mentally. I think about the expression I made in my Dream. That was not a normal expression. That was the expression of a Killer, a Psychopath.

I shiver at the thought. Is that a warning? I don't know. And I don't think about it anymore.

I just quickly dress up for School and go outside.

I then, without even having breakfast, quickly fly to school, almost missing it.

When I land, Victoria is already waiting for me.

She waves to me and smiles. She seems more energetic than before.

She runs over to me, almost bumping me.

"Listen! I think I have found something!"

"What do you mean? And why are you so different than usual?"

"Different? What do you mean?" She pauses for a moment and looks at me confused.

"Anyways! I have found out what could be causing those Visions of yours!"

"Speaking about that, I had another one this night."

"Really? That's great! You need to tell me all about it!"

I look at you, clearly confused. "Seriously, what happened to you? You're acting more like Heira than the Victoria I know."

"Hehe~ Really? Well... I guess I might have overdone myself..."

"What do you mean?"

"Well... yesterday I actually used my knowledge to do a forbidden spell. A spell that deletes your Memories in exchange for Knowledge..."

"Deletes... you Memories? What do you mean?" I look at you with concern.

"Well, you know how I had memories of my previous lives, yes?"

I nod.

"And... to be quite frank... I deleted them in exchange for the Knowledge on your Visions."

I look at you in shock. "But... do you even know how spells work now?"

"Oh! That! Don't worry about that! I still retained my knowledge. It's different from Memories.

You know, Memories control the Personality, but not knowledge. That is probably why you think my Personality changed. But since I lost my Memories, I probably think that I have always been this way!"

I just look at you, completely speechless. How should I deal with this. I am basically talking to a child with the knowledge of at least two other people inside her.

I sigh, accepting the fact that she has now changed this way.

"Alright, I will accept that for now. But... what have you found out about my Visions."

"Hihi~ I am glad that you asked! Well then, let me show you! Vision go!"

Suddenly I don't see anything and all my senses seem to have been deactivated.

I suddenly see images of a future. I seem to lose something. I then suddenly become stronger, but lose something else in the process. Suddenly I am further into the future. Heira is now old... but... I am still young? How? Suddenly I see a war. But I don't know where.

"-ara" "Lyara" "LYARA!!!"

I suddenly wake up, lying on the ground, above me is Victoria. She is... sitting on me?

"What... what happened?" I look at you, confused.

"Thank God you're awake! So... did you see any Visions?"

I nod. "Yeah, but only bad ones. But... how did you do that even?"

"Bad Visions, huh? Mhmm... well whatever!" Victoria gets off me and helps me up.

"Now to explain to you how I did that. It's actually quite easy. I just learned the spell in exchange for my Memories. Apparently it's a forbidden and old spell. No one should know how to use it anymore."

"So... what you mean to say is... someone casted Magic on me?"

Victoria nods. "Correct, but since you have bad dreams everyday... it's probably more like a curse. Something that has been cast on you since you were a small child."

"Well... it started after I got onto this continent, but... I actually have seen something even before that."

"What? What did you see?"

"Well, the Ghost of my Father. He was only there for a short time and then vanished again. But he taught me some sort of offensive Magic, or at least he showed me."

Victoria nods. "Mhmm... well it's too much for me to think about! Tehe~"

I put my hand on my face and just sigh. "Well thank you! Now I know so much more about the Visions I am having! And what is more, now I also have an annoying child by my side."

Victoria pouts. "Buuh~ I am not a Child! I can do so much more than Children! And also. The one who cursed you is probably someone who wants to warn you. Maybe even test you. He's probably not on this continent... but... I think that these Visions will go away soon."

"Wait. How do you know that?"

"Oh~ Do we want an answer now?~ From a small child~" She has a cheeky grin.

I sigh. "Alright fine! I am sorry."

"Don't worry! I forgive you!" She smiles. "Now, about the reason why I am so sure about it. Well... curses don't last forever, and especially this curse was only made to last until you're 12 years old. So... it will be gone soon. I hope so at least..."

I nod. "Alright. I hope so too. Now then! Let's just go to our Lessons for now, we are already running late."

We both laugh and then quickly run to our Magic Lesson.
