The barebone knowledge of Phoenix Breathing was transferred in me and was deeply ingrained into my mind and being. It feels magical.
In a good way and also in a bad way.
Looking at the 0% proficiency, it seems that mastering martial arts in this system is a gradual process and not like other systems with instant skill mastery.
But I rather prefer this kind of approach. Instant mastery in my opinion is sloppy, the discipline that should come from the process of learning is gone, that's why a lot of mc is a beta mc who makes every worst decision possible.
I looked at the door and double checked the lock, after making sure that no one would be able to interrupt me, I stood in the middle of my room and assumed a sloppy stance.
Without activating the Phoenix Breathing I punched in the air producing a fairly weak punch.
'That's what a normal punch without any martial arts looks like,'
Then I once again assumed a posture and activated Phoenix Breathing.
I drew my breath, a stream of air entering my lungs and leaving my mouth as hot air. At that moment I felt like I was being embraced by a warm fire.
A fire not of destruction but of healing and divine nature.
My body got stronger. Like I could lift a giant boulder without any difficulty or whatever, or I could run for miles and not drop a sweat.
'Let's see how strong a punch assisted by Phoenix Breathing,'
I reeled in my fist, and in a swift manner I punched! The qi which was in the middle of my body was drawn and was transferred into my arm.
BAM!!
The air exploded! A deafening noise of explosion resounded throughout the entire house and shook it. I was shocked by the power produced by my punch.
"TAI LUNG!!" I heard the panic shout of my mother banging through the locked door.
I was awoken from my stupor by her frantic voice and cursed.
"Shit!" I ran and unlocked it, as she burst through the room with a knife in her hand.
"Are you okay!? What happened!?"
"It's nothing mom, I'm okay!" I said to her to
calm her down but it seems the adrenaline rushing to her was still going strong.
"What in the name of Avatar Kuruk happened here!?" She screamed.

It was hard to make up an excuse about the explosion, so I chose not to and just feign ignorance as well.
I said to her that I also didn't know what happened. Of course as a five years old my mind isn't supposed to be sharp so I can act ignorant.
After managing to calm her down and make her buy my excuse I was once again left to my own device.
"Sigh…. What a pain," I said. Then I opened up my system interface to look at the previous thing I overlooked.

The name of my system is [Martial Unity System], it's so similar to the name of my favorite light novel in the past and considering that my Main Quest is to find my martial path then it's safe to say that my system is based off my favorite webnovel [Martial Unity].
So considering that my system is based off that webnovel then my main quest which is to find my martial path will be quite hard.
You see Martial Path in the webnovel Martial Unity is the embodiment of the Martial Artist' philosophy and way of combat.
It refers to a structured journey or discipline in martial arts and combat training.
For example the Main Character of Martial Unity, Rui Quarrier Silas Kandria's Martial Path is Adaptive Evolution.
Where his martial arts becomes water, adaptively coping and evolving with his enemies martial arts and eventually forming a perfect counter solution to that martial arts based on the data gathered before and during combat.
'So if I want to find my martial path I'm gonna have to go on a long journey…' You see, finding your martial path is the same as finding yourself. It is the non-verbal description of your being.
For example a martial artist with a martial path of extreme explosive strength is usually a man with short temper.
However, I myself don't know me.
What do I want? What can I do? And what is my heart's desire?
People will say that they know themselves more than anyone but that's not true.
People often don't know themselves because self-awareness requires deep introspection, which many avoid due to discomfort or fear of confronting their true thoughts and emotions.
If we look deep within ourselves we may see things that we don't want to see or admit.

When we look deep within, we might uncover truths that are difficult to accept, leading many to shy away from truly knowing themselves.
And I'm one of those people.
Back in previous life, my life was utterly broken, so I didn't delve deeper to find more things to break me.
And even here in this world, I refuse to open my ears to my flaws.
And now my first hurdle into becoming what I ought to strive to be is to confront what I have always been avoiding. To become a martial artist.
A dream that has permeated deep within me.
What do I want? What can I do? And what is my heart's desire?
For the first time since being reincarnated here. I was forced to look deep within myself.
I think I know an inkling of an answer to those questions.
"I just want to be strong."
To not be more vulnerable. To not cower in my comfort zone. To the walls I built myself.
