"Lower your voice and don't look at me like that. The last person I want judging me is you." Eliana said, feeling sad when she saw the disappointed look in Jason's eyes.
"You are worried about me judging you? You will be criticized by the whole of Rosehill City for biting the hands that fed you. What do you think will be the headline? 'The Moore family's adopted child was so jealous of their legitimate daughter and ended up sleeping with her fiance.'"
"You are overreacting," Eliana stated.
"You think I am overreacting? You will be called names and the worst part is Zach might not even marry you. What exactly were you even thinking?"
"We are going to get married. Within a week, Zachary will be my husband and I don't regret anything. People could whisper about me, but it doesn't matter to me. I will still be his wife, and that is final."
"You are counting your eggs before they hatch. As long as he hasn't put a ring on your finger, you will be seen as nothing but his mistress, a common homewrecker. How could you be so stupid to fall for his tricks?"
"Jason! You are crossing the line."
"No, I am giving you a reality check. Every action has consequences, and I hope you can handle yours. I feel so disappointed in you right now because I thought you were smarter than this." Jason said and angrily stood up, leaving without even glancing back at her.
Eliana cleaned the tears that had rolled down her eyes and took in a deep breath. The vibration of her phone brought her out of her thoughts, and a smile played on her lips as she saw the name of the caller. She cleared her throat before answering the call.
"Are you done with your parents? What did they say?" Zach asked, he had just come back from the construction site and had a meeting in fifteen minutes.
"Yeah, I'm done," Eliana replied.
"Why do you sound like that?"
"Like how?"
"You sound sad. Are you all right? What did they say?" Zach asked with a frown.
"They were thrilled," Eliana said as her eyes became teary.
"Eliana, don't lie to me."
"Fine. It sucked. Everyone is either angry at me or disappointed. I feel as if no one is excited about him." Eliana said.
"That isn't true. I am excited about him, Ryan is excited to be an uncle and is already thinking of nicknames for him. My mother doesn't show it, but this is going to be her first grandchild, so I assure you that she is also excited about him. Listen to me, Eliana, our child is not a mistake. Never allow anyone to make you feel as if he is a mistake. That child is ours, he or she will be loved and will never lack anything. Those who doesn't appreciate him don't deserve to be in his life, so smile and go on a shopping spree to improve your mood."
Eliana was already smiling at this point, "What if I don't want to go on a shopping spree?"
"It doesn't matter, do whatever makes you happy. I will transfer three million to your account, use it as you wish."
"Thank you Zachary Sanders for your generosity. However apart from the money which I will gladly collect, there is also something else that will make me very happy." Eliana said, feeling a huge improvement in her mood.
Zachary smiled and asked, "And what could that be?"
"Seeing you and getting a kiss from you," Eliana replied shamelessly.
"Are you saying you miss me?" Zach asked.
"Yes."
Zach chuckled and said, "Send me your address, and I will ask Ethan to go pick you up."
"Ok."
"Eli."
"Yeah?"
"I miss you too," Zach said and ended the call, he sighed deeply as he felt his heart suddenly racing. What is wrong with him?
Eliana on the other hand, slowly placed her phone back on the table and covered her cheeks because she knew that they must already have been red like a tomato. A notification sound from her phone made her to remove one hand from her cheek and collect her phone from the table.
It was just as he said, he had transferred three million dollars to her account. Perhaps a shopping spree wouldn't be a bad idea after all, Eliana thought with a smile as she thanked him and sent him her address.
...
Moore Mansion.
Henry looked at his wife who entered his study without knocking and poured himself a drink as he asked, "Is Amber still sulking?"
"Sulking? You slapped her with so much force that her lips bled, and you are asking if Amber is sulking. Are you even human?"
"Says the woman who slapped her pregnant daughter. If there is anyone to question my humanity Sloane, trust me, it wouldn't be you." Henry replied coldly.
"It is only a matter of time that the Moore family becomes a laughing stock in Rosehill City, and instead of you to discipline Eliana, you actually striked a deal with her, one we could have gotten if Amber had married Zach."
Henry kept his drink on the table and looked at his wife as he asked, "Did you not hear what Zach said or did you suddenly become dumb?"
"Excuse me?"
"In front of us all, Zach confirmed that he has never once touched Amber and do you remember their engagement ceremony when he was asked to kiss Amber? He kissed her on her cheek instead of her lips, this alone is enough to tell you that Amber has no chance in winning Zach heart. That battle has already been won by Eliana, my daughter, our flesh and blood, so the sooner you convince Amber to stop her delusions the better for all of us."
"You think once that merger is in Eliana's name she will transfer it to you?" Sloane asked.
"Eliana is like a child that still craves her parent's love. All I just need to do is show her a little of my affection and I assure you that will be enough for her to put the merger in my name," Henry replied with a smile.
"And if the merger doesn't work?"
"It will work. Unless she no longer wishes to be my heiress." Henry coldly stated. That merger will not only bring TM Entertainment to a new height but it will also be the start of getting Vince Entertainment under his control.
