It was 7 in the morning and a warm crisp autumn's day. The colorful leaves were falling on the ground; the birds were chirping a song, and the sun was beaming through the windows of the room. The alarm on her phone rang, and she started getting out of bed with her hair being a messy bun like it was always in the morning. She went to the bathroom quickly showered, and then put on her cute dress and the black high heels that her mother gave to her as a birthday gift.
"Oh my gosh, she said I almost overslept. I'm going to be late".
She hurriedly ran down the long spiral stairs throwing on her soft and fluffy jacket as the driver was waiting outside for her in a luxury dark, blue-colored Mercedes with leather seats. The driver got up and opened the door as she got right into the back seat of the car, and they took off. While they were driving, she asked the driver to turn on some music so she could close her eyes and relax.
They drove fast through the city passing by the busy highway as the smell and wind of the fresh sea breeze hit her long wavy brown hair as if it was dancing. The smell of the sea and the breeze left a calm sensation.
As they arrived at the Lianghua's medical hospital it was a tall building with glass windows and looked like a skyscraper. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking and inspiring, with vibrant cherry blossom trees in full bloom, the delicate petals slowly dancing in the breeze. The driver went and opened up the door as she got out of the car wearing a nice light blue dress with her assistant meeting her right upon the arrival. As her assistant and her made their way into the building everyone greeted her and continued doing their normal daily routines. As they walked down the long hallways filled with patients in the waiting room, a few of her colleagues stopped and greeted her along the way but didn't have time to discuss anything with them.
"How about we talk during lunch?" she asked.
"That sounds perfect" as they replied in a unison voice.
"Good morning, Miss. Lianghua, how are you today?", asked the assistant.
"I'm doing quite well today", said Miss L.
As they continued talking, they got onto the elevator leaving all the noises behind. It had blue-green lights lined among the edges of the ceiling. A digital display above the doors ticked away the seconds, counting down until the next stop. As they finally reached the 13th floor the elevator came to a complete stop and the doors opened with a soft whoosh. They walked down the hallway passing by the other rooms.
Miss. Tang opened the door as they entered the office the soothing silence filled the air. There was a cup of tea on the desk and a few other important documents. As Miss Lianghua sat down in the chair, she slowly started sipping the tea and the sweet aroma of peach tea filled the air. She delightfully finished drinking it and put the cup back on the table.
"What's on the agenda today?"
Miss Tang replied, "you have a couple of meetings today and one of them is within the hour, as well as a few other errands to run".
"Well, I guess it's going to be a busy day as usual" said Miss Lianghua as she slowly started looking at the papers on her desk before the meeting.
When it was getting closer to the meeting, her assistant went and opened the big doors for her, leading them into a giant conference room that was full of gentlemen in sharply dressed suits already seated and waiting for the meeting to begin.
When the meeting began, Miss Lianghua couldn't help but notice this young gentleman with his light blue eyes and short dark brown hair sitting quietly in the distance, very calm and distracted as the sun hit his face. His eyes were sparkling just like the clear waters of the sea.
"Are you not paying attention?" she said.
The young gentleman seemed not to respond at first, so she asked him again in a stern but calm voice. This time he got up and immediately apologized to her.
After the meeting came to an end, Miss Lianghua asked the young guy to stay. He slowly got up and walked over to her as their eyes locked in on one another. They were both speechless.
