Chapter 4 - A Taste Of Attraction

Kaith couldn't shake off the feeling of Drake's kiss on her cheek. It was a gentle, soft touch, but it had sent shivers down her spine.

She tried to focus on the restaurant, but her mind kept wandering back to Drake. What did he want from her? And why couldn't she stop thinking about him?

As the days went by, Kaith found herself looking forward to Drake's visits more and more. They would talk and laugh, sharing stories and getting to know each other better.

Kaith couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him. But she was scared. She didn't know if she was ready to open herself up to love again.

One night, as they were closing up the restaurant, Drake turned to her with a curious expression.

"Kaith, can I ask you something?" he said.

"Of course," she replied, her heart racing.

"What's holding you back?" he asked. "I can tell you're attracted to me, but you're hesitant. What's wrong?"

Kaith sighed, feeling a sense of vulnerability wash over her.

"I've been hurt before," she said.

"I don't know if I'm ready to open myself up again."

Drake nodded, his eyes filled with understanding.

"I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I'm willing to wait for you, Kaith. But I need you to know that I'm interested. I want to explore this attraction between us."

Kaith's heart skipped a beat. No one had ever been so patient and understanding.

"Okay," she said finally. "Let's take things slow. See where this goes."

Drake smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

"I'd like that," he said.

And with that, they shared their first kiss, under the stars, outside the restaurant.

As they pulled away, Drake smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

"I've been wanting to do that for weeks," he said.

Kaith laughed, feeling a sense of joy she hadn't felt in months.

"I've been wanting you to," she replied.

They stood there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes. Kaith felt like she could see forever in his gaze.

"Let's take things slow," Drake said finally. "I don't want to rush you."

Kaith nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him.

"I know we should" she replied.

Over the next few weeks, Kaith and Drake's relationship blossomed. They went on long walks, had deep conversations, and explored the city together.

Kaith felt like she had found a true partner in Drake. He was kind, understanding, and supportive.

But as their relationship deepened, Kaith's fears began to surface. What if she got hurt again? What if Drake wasn't who he seemed to be?

One night, as they were taking a stroll, Kaith's fears boiled over.

"Drake, can I ask you something?" she asked, her voice shaking.

"Of course," he replied, his eyes filled with concern.

"What's your past like?" she questioned.

"You never talk about it." She added

Drake sighed, his expression turning serious.

"I've been hurt too," he said.

"But I've learned to let go. I want to build a future with you, Kaith."

Kaith's heart melted at his words. Maybe, just maybe, she had found her soulmate.

As they walked further, the city lights twinkling around them, Kaith felt like she was in a dream. She had never felt this way about anyone before.

Drake squeezed her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers.

"I'm so glad we met," he said, his voice low and husky.

Kaith smiled, her heart racing. "Me too," she replied.

They walked in comfortable silence for a while, taking in the sights and sounds of the city.

Finally, they arrived at a small park, tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. Drake led her to a bench, and they sat down together, watching the stars twinkle overhead.

"I feel like I can tell you anything," Kaith told him, with an almost inaudible voice.

Drake nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "You can," he said.

 "I'm here for you, Kaith."

Kaith took a deep breath, feeling a sense of trust wash over her.

 "I'm scared," she said.

"I'm scared of getting hurt again."

Drake's expression softened. "I'm scared too," he said.

"But I don't want to let fear hold us back. I want to explore this feeling between us."

Kaith's heart skipped a beat. No one had ever been so understanding, so patient.

"Okay," she said finally. "Let's do it. Let's explore this feeling."

Drake smiled, his eyes narrowing and his lips curving at the corners into a smile.

 "I'd like that," he said.

And with that, they shared another soft, gentle kiss under the stars, the world around them melting away.

As they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, Kaith felt like she had found her home. She had never felt this way about anyone before.

Drake pulled back, his eyes locked on hers. "I want to know everything about you," he said. "I want to know your dreams, your fears, your passions."

Kaith's heart melted at his words. No one had ever wanted to know her so deeply.

"I want to know everything about you too," she said.

And so they talked, long into the night, sharing their hopes and dreams, their fears and insecurities.

As the night wore on, Kaith felt like she had known Drake her whole life. She felt like she could tell him anything.

Finally, as the stars began to fade, Drake walked Kaith home, his arm wrapped around her shoulders.

"I had a wonderful time tonight," he said.

Kaith smiled, her heart full. "Me too," she answered

As they stood outside her apartment, Drake turned to her, his eyes locked on hers.

"I'll call you tomorrow,"

 Kaith nodded, her heart racing.

And with that, they shared one final kiss, soft and gentle, under the fading stars.

As Kaith drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but smile. She had found someone special, someone who truly understood her.

And as she dreamed of Drake, she knew that this was just the beginning of their love story.
