Elion sat in the stands of Arena 7, awaiting his first battle. A total of twenty arenas within Eldoria were in use for the current assessment, with twenty one-on-one matches taking place simultaneously.
Each arena was packed with spectators, eager to witness the action. Magical orbs, functioning much like cameras from Earth, were positioned in every arena, broadcasting the battles live across Alastor for anyone interested in watching.
'My battle is next,' Elion thought. 'Ranked 2453, a warrior. This shouldn't be too difficult.'
The battle in Arena 7 came to an end, and Elion stepped forward to take his place. His opponent was a human warrior, wielding a scimitar in each hand, ready for the fight.
"Are both contestants ready?" the judge asked.
Elion and his opponent, Jeremy, nodded in unison.
"Begin the battle!"
