Marie and I headed back to the school, leaving the others in Hagrid's hut because we couldn't bear watching Ron vomit slugs any longer.
"I feel a bit sorry for him, not being able to use his wand and unable to replace it."
"Yes, the punishment was deserved, but the broken wand is a bit harsh. At worst, it would've been better if he couldn't use it temporarily to teach him a lesson."
As we were talking quietly, a flash blinded me.
I couldn't see what was happening, and once my vision returned, I was still seeing white spots from the partial blindness.
I leaned on Marie's shoulder to keep my balance, as I was quite disoriented.
"I can't believe I'm meeting the real Evelyn Longbottom! I know all about you. My name is Colin Creevey, and I'm a first-year in Gryffindor. I didn't know anything about magic before the holidays, so my parents and I were thrilled to discover this parallel world. Then, I read a book on modern notable figures, and there you were! How can someone so young have so much knowledge? Do you get nervous before each thesis competition? Is it…"
"Can you just shut up for a second and breathe a little?"
He calmed down a bit but was still excited to talk to me.
"I need to warn you about something: the next time you want to take a picture of me, please let me know first. I could have ended up blind with the flash. Other people's flashes have finally stopped bothering me, but the surprise could still get me."
"I'm sorry! I was just so happy that I didn't think about it. You know, I find moving images fascinating, and I'd like to make them myself. Apparently, I need to add a potion to make them move."
And he started his explanations all over again. Can someone tell him to take a proper breath before he faints?
Mary approached him and gave him a light slap.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"The quickest way to calm him down. He'll learn to ask one question at a time instead of throwing everything out at once, hoping his listener will remember to answer everything."
It seemed that this method was very effective because, even though he wanted to ask dozens of questions, he now asked them one at a time.
In reality, he isn't really mean or annoying; it's just that he has trouble calming down and tends to overwhelm his listener.
Naturally, I answered all his questions and made it clear that he shouldn't believe everything he hears, as his questions were based on completely false rumors.
After satisfying his curiosity, I headed to the kitchen because I was starting to feel hungry.
Pov General,
"That will be 1,500 galleons. Do you need help transporting it?"
"No, that won't be necessary."
The person who replied was a woman dressed in elegant business attire, looking so chic that one could only imagine how wealthy she was.
On her right eye was engraved the symbol 4 and on the left the symbol greed.
Once the delivery man left, she sighed and began to get angry.
"It's robbery to charge so much for mandrake of such poor quality for our world. Now what am I going to do with all this stock?"
"You could burn it," replied Lust.
"Are you out of your mind? I already paid a fortune for this garbage; I'm not going to waste money by getting rid of the goods I've paid for."
"You should have done what I did and used your charm to seduce the mandrake farming companies so you wouldn't have to pay."
"Except I'm not like you."
Lust threw the pot she was holding, shattering it and revealing an adult mandrake that began to scream at full blast.
"What do you mean, 'I'm not like you'?"
"You know exactly what I mean."
She argued, oblivious to the mandrake's scream, powerful enough to kill Voldemort.
Before their argument could escalate, a beam of light shot across the room, striking the mandrake and destroying it.
"Can't you two be quiet? I'm trying to sleep."
The voice came from a woman in pajamas, resting on a pillow. Her right eye was marked with the symbol "1," and her left eye bore the symbol for sloth. She was the one who had disguised herself as a house-elf and informed Evelyn about the existence of the secret room upon request.
Greed and Lust immediately felt the immense pressure emanating from Sloth, forcing them to bow, faces down.
"We're sorry," they said in unison.
The pressure lifted, allowing Greed and Lust to breathe again.
