Hyung successfully put Sonyeo to sleep. He watched the boy sweat buckets, shivering in his sleep. Worry tinged his heart. Walking outside, he saw a bright light burst from the distance and the sun shine. "That's weird. I hope Mirai's okay" he thought. But as he stepped back into the building, his mind flashed to the brightness that emanated from Mirai when he saw the future. "Oh shit!" he said as he ran outside of the building towards the wall.
Mirai and Time sat at a restaurant. The place was slightly full but its wooden floor and glass windows gave it a warm feel. Time was looking at the menu but Mirai put his eyes down and was shaking. The being in front of him was exuding power that he knew he couldn't fight against. He was scared and rightly so. He had never faced such fear in his life. He peeked at her as she beckoned on a waiter.
"I'd like the lobster and maybe some wine" she said and looked at Mirai. "What do you want, Mirai?" she asked. Mirai shook violently and managed a small voice. "Whatever she gets" he said. The waiter went off with their orders. "You good? You know you can look up now, right?" she said. Mirai still looked down. She kicked his legs with enough force to make him bleed and he was forced to bring his head up. "Mirai, why are you like this?" she asked with disgust in her voice. "What do you mean?" he asked back with shaking in his voice. She sighed loudly. "Whenever I watch you, you seem like this amazing person that won't break but yet here you are, acting like a little child"
The food came and Time sat there, enjoying the meal but Mirai could barely take a bite. She finished her meal quickly and drank her wine. She watched Mirai pick at his food. "Mirai, look outside" she said. Mirai looked past the windows at the large sea of people passing through. "What do you see?" she asked. Mirai looked more intently and the people disappeared completely. The world had become bare and he realised they sat on the empty ground. "You see, this is the true state of the world. An empty landscape. It's just an illusion that I control" she said. She picked up a thread that stretched throughout the fabric of reality. "Everything in this universe is controlled by me. I rule all things. From the smallest atoms to the largest galaxies, they are all controlled by Time". The thread strung and everything responded to it. From that one thread, Mirai heard the voices of everything; from the lifeless rock to the largest whale. Their past, present and futures could be seen. Mirai opened his mouth in awe at the power that she had.
"But" she continued and Mirai listened intently. "There is one thing I can't control" and the sounds stopped. That beauty and power that she had disappeared. It was replaced by a seeming hate. The plane started ripping apart. She looked at Mirai with severe animosity. Her eyes threw daggers at him. Mirai felt like he had been shot in a thousand places. Her lips parted and the next words that came from her mouth were filled with an unhidden anger
"There's just that one tiny insignificant thing I can't control. It's a worthless human called Mirai Muru"
"HEY!!" shouted the wall guard. Hyung did not care and jumped over the wall. "STOP HIM!!!" screamed the guard from across the wall and large numbers of guards flew towards Hyung. He looked back to see people chasing him and kept going forward. An arrow flew by him but he caught it and threw it back with such force that it shattered the head of the person it pierced. He jumped from rooftop, evading all the weapons that were thrown at him. "C'MON!!! GET HIM!!!" their apparent leader shouted as he could barely keep up with Hyung running at full throttle ahead of him. "USE YOUR SPEED ATTRIBUTES!!!!" he commanded his guards. Their bodies glowed blue and a thin layer of mana covered them.
"BODY ENHANCEMENT: BOOST!!!"
They all collectively burst forward. Hyung saw that they were catching up to him quickly. He clenched his teeth and his body temperature rose furiously from 40 degrees to a massive 800 degrees. His body sparked and small bursts of fire emanated from his skin. His feet melted the roofing tiles that he jumped on. There was a large boom and the guards were pushed back by the massive gust of wind that formed from the sound. Hyung's muscles pulsed heavily. The people did not see anything but the large boom sounded in their ears followed by bursts of wind. The guards could not keep up. Their speeds were just too slow to catch up to the person they chased. Hyung had broken the sound barrier.
"Hehehe. Today, I'll the intruder and become recognised" a guard thought. He had seen the chase going on and decided to sneak attack Hyung. He didn't know that Hyung had gone beyond physical limitations and jumped in the air as he saw Hyung approaching. Unluckily for him, he was directly in Hyung's path. The guard was hit with over four million joules of energy and his body was ripped apart. His blood rained on the city; his sacrifice in vain.
The writer and the reader watched the massacre that was on-going in Midtown. They heard a massive sound and felt the wind burst in their faces. Hyung appeared from nowhere and looked at Mirai's body that floated in the air. "What's going to happen?" asked the enthusiastic reader. "Just watch" the author said and that's what they did. They watched.
Hyung burst through into the Midtown, destroying the makeshift buildings as he advanced towards the location of the bright light. He stopped and let his body cool down to 400 degrees and kept going. He saw dead corpses, brutally killed on the ground. Mirai's body was up in the sky and it looked down at the being that had happened upon its killing spree.
"MIRAI!!!! SONYEO IS DYING AND THIS IS WHAT YOU DO!!!" Hyung shouted. His anger was apparent. "GET DOWN HERE!!!" he shouted again. Mirai's body looked at Hyung and spat on the ground before him. Hyung's eyes grew with flames. His body burst into fire. The heat that came from him melted the ground he stood on. He looked at Mirai with the fire in his eyes and pointed his burning fingers at him.
"I'll bring you down from there"
