I woke up as the sun brushes my eyes. I roamed my eyes around the room, and this room screams luxury.
I grew up being showered with riches, but this Acantha girl, or rather, I say the body I possessed, was really obsessed with beautiful things.
"You're awake, my lady." I startled a little bit when I heard someone speak. Is this really their hobby? to startle me?
I nodded in response. I remember my plan yesterday to know the current timeline. I need to protect the second life that was given to me.
"Excuse me," I said and was about to ask the maid, but she was startled a little bit as she slowly faces me.
"W-what is it, my lady?" the maid said as she was shaking a little bit.
What is this? Is Acantha really this bad for people to be scared of her?
"Ah, nothing," I said as I remembered how stupid I am to ask for the timeline when they didn't know that they were all living in a novel.
After the maid left, which is why I forgot to ask her name, I went to the bathroom so I could take a bath, and I was surprised to see that there were still lots of people inside who were ready to assist me in my bath.
After I took a bath, the maids assisted me in dressing up. I will ask someone what's my age so I can learn when Acantha is supposed to meet the prince or if they already met.
I was left with one maid as she was applying some make-up to my face. This is my chance to ask someone their identity.
"What is your name?" I ask the woman who was now doing my hair and putting some accessories on it.
She looks at me as she stiffens a little bit. I can see that she was hesitating to give me her name.
"I'm Mildred, my lady," she said as she smiled a little bit as she continued to brush my hair.
"Mildred, are there any occasions today? Why am I dressing elegantly?" I asked as I looked at myself when she finished fixing my hair.
"You were invited to go to the Count Bellos party; the Duke was hesitating if he was going to send you since you just met some accident yesterday, but he knows how important it is for you to go to that party," she said as she was leading me to the hall.
Party? this morning? Isn't it supposed to be in the evening? Is my memory betraying me now?
"Party? Isn't it supposed to be in the evening?" I asked Mildred as we were still talking our way through the hall.
"The royal family wanted it to be in the morning as per request by the duke himself so you won't get tired when you go back home," Mildred said as we reached the middle of the house.
The hell is wrong with this house? It seems endless, and I am wearing these heels, and why would the duke do such things? He even asked the royal family himself?
Wait, if this is Count Bellos party and this will be the time that Acantha will meet the crown prince, in this case I should've made some excuses not to go there.
That's right, I need to ignore and avoid those people for me to live my second life longer than the first one.
I stopped for a moment and started doing my plan.
"M-Mildred, I- I can't breathe," I said as I acted as if I couldn't breathe.
"M-my lady, are you alright?" Mildred rushed to my side and tried to help me.
Mildred was about to shout when suddenly the duke and his knights appeared not so far from us.
I tried to peak a little bit, and I saw them rushing to us.
"What happened to her?" the duke asked as soon as he scooped me from Mildred's grasp.
"I don't know, You're grace. We were just walking as her ladyship and I were talking about the party at Count Bellos, and she just suddenly called me and said she couldn't breathe," Mildred said as she addresses the incident.
The duke nodded, and he looked at me again, and this time I don't know why, but I'm feeling dizzy, and my vision starts to get blurry.
"Call the doctor right now." The duke commanded his men, and they obeyed immediately.
I don't know what happened next, as I lost my consciousness.
-----------
"Welcome to Bellos County, you're highness the crown prince." I looked at the couple in front of me who was bowing their heads as they greeted me. I looked around and saw that people who were also there were doing the same thing.
I nodded in response, as I was bored and was just forced by my parents to go here to meet Duke Solaris.
Duke Solaris was my mentor when I was learning how to handle my mana and how to infused it when I'm battling with someone.
"Have you seen the Duke, Count?" I asked, as I don't see the duke in here.
The count looked at me while trembling; this is why I hate going to any event; because of my reputation as a blood thirst crown prince, people were frightened to see me or even hear my name.
"Ah-hmm, you're highness. The sent their messenger a while ago telling that he and his daughter couldn't make it today as she was still unwell," the count explained as he still couldn't look at me in the eyes.
He's not going? Isn't it because of his letter that the party was moved to the morning instead of the evening, as his daughter just had some accidents and needs to rest?
If so, she should've not attended the party instead of moving the time if she wasn't able to attend it anyway. He remembered that girl when they were young when he used to go to the Solaris Duchy for his training; the girl was always following them like a dog.
What was her name again? He forgot it already since it was a long time ago; well, he guessed she was still the same noble girl who always throws tantrums to get what she wants.
----------
"What do you mean that the crown prince was looking for me?" I heard someone say, which means I recognized that it was the duke.
Crown prince? So, he was really there even though the time was moving? Good thing I didn't attend the party.
"He was looking for you, You're Grace. Maybe his highness Helion has something to say to you," the Duke's knights commander and also his right-hand man said, as I learned from Mildred a while ago his name was Fabian.
Right, Helion Alaric Drakos. Is the crown prince of this empire from the ancient blood of those ancient dragons who founded this empire?
He screams dark aura and power; that's why he was called the blood thirst crown prince, and just like the usual story that you read from books, he was smitten by the beauty of the heroine, who has a power to soothe the thirst of the dragons blood that flows on his vein; that's why he was feeling different for the heroine Noraya in the first place.
Dang, isn't it crazy? It was just like he was using her for his own benefit; anyway, that's their life, and I planned to ignore them all and avoid them at all costs.
I want to hear more, but this body is so weak that sleep was pulling me into a slumber.
