The morning wasn't as early as it should've been when Maia jolted awake, her head pounding and her mind spinning with confusion. She felt disoriented, but the weight of her thoughts hit harder than the hangover. Memories from the previous night came flooding back in fragments—had she really forced Aiden to the point of, what, ten rounds? Did that actually happen?
Her heart raced as she glanced down beneath the blanket, realizing she wasn't wearing her panties or bra. Panic gripped her as she shot out of bed. The last thing she remembered was Aiden showing up at her apartment. *Oh God*, what had she done?
Rushing out of her bedroom, Maia's eyes landed on a tall, muscular figure standing by the stove, his broad back facing her as he fumbled with pans. "Aiden?" she called, her voice uncertain.
