Aiden paced the room, arms crossed, watching as Dr. Lim slowly came to her senses. His voice was sharp with frustration. "You didn't eat dinner, skipped breakfast, and you call yourself a doctor?" His tone bordered on disbelief, shaking his head as if her collapse from low blood sugar was the most ridiculous thing he'd ever heard. "Unbelievable."
Dr. Lim, still weak from fainting, licked her now less-dry lips, thanks to the IV drip that had been working to stabilize her. She grimaced, her pale lips forming a slight curve. "I've been... busy. Usually, I'm disciplined about eating," she muttered defensively.
Aiden rolled his eyes, unconvinced. "Busy? You don't even have food in your fridge! Not even cereal or milk. Just a damn pudding cup and a knife. I thought I could at least find something, but no—I had to grab a sandwich and coffee on the way back."
