Though surprised, Roderick managed to raise his sword to block the blow. However, he couldn't avoid Eve's next strike. Her sword slipped under Roderick's arm, injuring his side.
"Arghh!" Roderick gasped, blood flowing from his wound. "You're starting to show some improvement, but that won't be enough to defeat me!" With anger blazing in his eyes, he leaned forward, his face showing a terrifying displeasure. Magical energy gathered around him, and Eve could feel the dangerous aura surrounding Roderick.
