I was pulling on a simple blouse when Arlene knocked on my door and walked in without waiting for a response. Typical Arlene. She was holding a mug of coffee, her curious eyes scanning me up and down as she set it on my dresser.
"Where are you going?" she asked, leaning against the doorframe with a playful smirk.
"Don't tell me you're going after him after all that drama you guys played…" she teased further.
I turned to face her, slightly hesitant.
"Just another morning of confirmation that you'd never change." I teased too while she chuckled lightly.
"Even with a bag on the way?" She quizzed.
"Nah, I'm just scared you're going to make the innocent child your partner. I'm not going to let that happen, as the godmother." I asserted while she burst into laughter and I soon joined too.
When we finally had enough, we went back to her first question.
