Chapter 15 - Season 1 Chapter 12: "Bootcamp Training and Competition"

(Location: Washington DC — Eagle Union Outer Base — Bootcamp)

(Time: Monday Early Afternoon in the 2nd Week of January 1930)

As everyone gathered at the center of the BootCamp, the majority of the otherworlders were getting scared due to the two shipgirls staring at them with their intense gaze, Vale (Accel) acted normal and just properly stood in attention. As everyone was complete, Battleship Nevada explained what they would do for several weeks on the BootCamp.

1. All Seaman Recruits (SR) will do basic training. BootCamp is the first major step in transforming civilian recruits into sailors.

2. Physical conditioning: Daily physical training (PT) including running, push-ups, sit-ups, and swimming. Military customs and discipline: Learning Navy traditions, commands, and structure. Sailing and seamanship skills: Basic skills like knot-tying, handling shipboard life, and naval etiquette.

3. Firefighting and ship damage control: Learning critical emergency skills like handling fires or floods aboard a boat. Weapons training: Familiarization with small arms and Navy weaponry.

4. The BootCamp will last about 4 to 6 weeks. In the 7th to 8th week, there will be a competition in which those Seaman Recruits (SR) who reach the top 100 will rank up by 1.

Because of that, everyone was excited and getting serious about this BootCamp and the upcoming competition. (Then time skip each week)

(BootCamp — 2nd Week of January 1930)

In the 2nd Week of January 1930, everyone started their physical activities. But, it was not easy for the otherworlders, the reason is that there was a huge barrier surrounding the boot camp, the "Anti-Magic Barrier" and "Nullification Barrier". In different worlds, the majority of the otherworlders mostly rely on using mana and aura. Still, now they are only relying on using their energy and strengths to make this entire training.

As for Vale (Accel), he wasn't tired or relying using magic. Because this is a daily routine for himself back in his world, few of the otherworlders also do because though they don't have magical or supernatural abilities only rely on modern technology or futuristic technology, they can keep without using those fantasy-like abilities.

Since Vale needed to increase his ranks, he increased his physical activities. When otherworlders noticed my actions they found it weird and suspicious. Their suspicions only rose when it was on the 3rd Week of January 1930.

(BootCamp — 3rd Week of January 1930)

Vale didn't get tired or have cramps in his body making the physical activities or the rigorous training easy. The otherworlders began to notice his weird stamina and got suspicious that he might use a hidden ability that even the magical barrier or the nullification barrier had not noticed, out of jealousy or unfairness they spread bad things about Vale that he might use an undetected skill to make him not tired or something related to stamina skills.

On the other hand, few of the otherworlders ignore that, because getting involved in that kind of situation might be bad for them, as for Vale, he doesn't care and keeps continuing the training, he trains every day without rest or even sometimes he doesn't need to sleep that is why those people who easily get tired cause a ruckus about Vale. As for Vale, he questions himself why those people were specifically targeting him when he sees their expression...

Vale (Accel): [In his mind] "I see... Those kind of prideful and jealous people..."

Meaning to say, those people from their world seem to be not good. And Vale must have noticed why they joined this navy fraction. Though it might be his delusion or theory, it must have to do with the shipgirls, or maybe not...

(BootCamp — 4th Week of January 1930)

The training schedule has now changed into something harder, this time instead of doing the usual rigorous training, they will now test their knowledge by giving out written tests, but the written test talks about naval battles, formations, ships, and many more related to the naval tactics. Those prideful and jealous otherworlders will have now a chance to deal with Vale, but they are just underestimating him. Vale (Accel), when comes to this time of the battle, Commanding the Army is an easy feat for him.

The reason is that in his world, he has a military rank of "Lieutenant General of the Philippian Imperial Army". A commanding force of over 500,000+ Soldiers/Knights/Squires, but if you are wondering why he has a "Captain Rank" is because his "Lieutenant General" military status only applies to his country while the Captain was approved by the World Association, and the Supreme Authority Council. (By the way, this is a spoiler from the original novel, but because my application for my novel was rejected, many spoilers will appear from his chapter that wasn't yet mentioned in the original novel.)

(BootCamp — 1st and 2nd Week of February 1930)

Those smart and geniuses when comes to battle tactics dominated the training, those jealous and prideful otherworlders got angry and complained, but we just ignored their nonsense, and of course, Vale ranked first from the written test to the battle simulation. Vale has no attention hiding, he shows everyone what is he capable of in the training, Vale senses the presence that he is being watched and it is familiar shipgirls he knows, but he just keeps continuing as the boot camp training will soon end.

(BootCamp — Kitchen — Night)

Since it was February, meaning it was Valentine's Day. He made chocolates (I don't where he got the chocolates and the other ingredients, but yeah...) and used his teleportation magic to transport the chocolates to Lizzy (his wife)...

(BootCamp — 3rd Week of February 1930)

It was the last week of the BootCamp Training and soon the competition was about to begin next week. And of course those people again, the jealous people and the prideful people plan those annoying people (like Vale and those smartass ones) to crash them. Vale doesn't care about their plans, because he will not show mercy, even if he breaks them or makes them half-dead.

Also, because it was the last week of the training, they were given time to relax and plan for the next week...

(Eagle Union Outer Base — Battle Arena — 4th Week of February 1930)

The event has started and as Vale (Accel) expected familiar ships he knows came it was those shipgirls that are powerful and emitting mana and aura from their body due to the influence of the otherworlders making them either 2x to 3x stronger than their original. It was "Battleship Iowa-Class New Jersey", "Large Cruiser Alaska-Class Guam", "Aircraft Carrier Yorktown-Class Enterprise", "Aircraft Carrier Essex-Class Yorktown II", and "Aircraft Carrier Essex-Class Hornet II".

It was not the only, other shipgirls were watching from the sides or hiding from the shadows (They are not ninjas, maybe they are afraid especially those otherworlders). The competition will be a friendly spar when their opponents say "Surrender" or "Give Up" meaning they will lose. Unexpectedly for the 1st round, Vale and the Leader of those Prideful people got picked first, Leader A finally has a chance to beat the shit out of Vale, but it was an unfortunate battler for Prideful Leader A.

(Eagle Union Outer Base — Battle Arena — Arena Floor)

As Vale and Prideful Leader A went to the Arena Floor, they got ready as "Battleship Pennsylvania-Class Pennsylvania" began the battle...

Battleship Pennsylvania: "Ready! Begin! [Fires Her Shells in the Sky]

When the signal began, Vale didn't wait and only using his strength and agility he blinked a supersonic speed towards Prideful Leader A, he was unable to react to his speed so Vale grabbed his head and smashed it onto the ground as blood burst out on his head, he didn't stop and smash it again for the 2nd and 3rd. The people in the battle arena got scared of what they just witness.

Vale after smashing Prideful Leader A for the 3rd time on the floor arena, kicks his stomach as a few people near the floor arena hear the bones breaking sound as he flies towards the Arena Walls, his face is smashed with so much blood coming out and Vale smiled with satisfaction and made everyone speechless, because of that when they will fight Vale again they will immediately give up or surrender because they don't want like Prideful Leader A to happened to them, well some did want to fight and ends up similar has Prideful Leader A, broken bones, dislocated spines, blood loss, fainted due to blood lust of Vale, or many more.

Because of that, all the shipgirls despite him winning 1st place will keep on watch of Vale. They made Vale a "Dangerous Sailor" and must be kept watch if something bad or suspicious came from him. The shipgirls who were there in the competition labeled him or called him a "Dangerous Individual", while the people either native or otherworlders called him "The Destroyer". It was Vale's idea to make everyone all eyes on him, I don't know what plans he made but yeah, he is now from Seaman Recruit (SR) to Seaman Apprentice (SA).
