Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

The next day, I cheered up and went to work.

After leaving Zed, I felt more relaxed than ever before.

"Nancy, your belly?"

At the entrance of the company, Olivia's eyes widened when she saw me.

This was the first reaction of a normal person when he saw me.

I smiled with relief, "The child is gone. "

After a month's rest, I felt much better, no longer often thinking about my lost child in a daze.

Olivia walked up to me and patted my shoulder.

"No matter what happens, I will always be with you. "

She knew something must have happened to me, but she didn't want to rub salt into my wounds, so she didn't ask.

Olivia and I had known each other since we were young, and we had been friends for many years.

We were in the same class from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and high school, to university.

When Zed was pursuing me, Olivia was not moved by him. Instead, she rationally advised me to reconsider it, saying that marriage was important in a woman's life and I must think carefully before making a decision.

Unfortunately, I made the wrong decision in the end, which led to this situation today.

When Olivia and I walked into the office together, my colleagues also noticed the abnormality in my belly, including two interns who had only seen me several times.

Even they could see that, but Zed, who had lived with me for five years, couldn't see that.

He didn't care about me at all.

Faced with the concern of my colleagues, I felt warmth for the first time since losing my child.

"Nancy, come here. "

My leader Alice stood at the office door and waved to me.

When I walked into the office, she first asked about my physical condition and then explained her purpose.

"The company is organizing a trip to the countryside for half a month. I originally thought it would be inconvenient for you to go because you were pregnant, but now. . . "

"I'd like to go. "

Before Alice finished speaking, I agreed.

Staying in this city would only increase the chance of meeting Zed. Leaving was not an escape, and I just didn't want to see him again.

Alice was surprised by my attitude, and then she waved her hand and smiled.

"Don't rush to agree. Going to the countryside is very hard. Although you are not pregnant now, you still have to think carefully about whether you can endure the hardship. "

"Alice, I've made the decision. I can do it. " I answered.

No matter how hard it was to go to the countryside, it was not as painful as losing my child. Since I had endured the pain of losing my child, I could go to the countryside.

"Okay, since you are so determined, I will put your name on the list. We will leave tomorrow afternoon. You go back and prepare. "

I nodded and walked out of the office.

During the lunch break, Zed came over.

Olivia stopped him, with her hands on her hips and glaring at him.

"What are you doing here? You are not welcome here!"

Zed smiled and said, "I came to find Nancy. I have something to say to her. "

"Humph. She doesn't want to talk with you. "

Although Olivia didn't know what happened between me and Zed, she knew Zed couldn't escape the responsibility since my child was gone.

She didn't want to see me sad anymore.

Zed frowned and stood at the door of the company, shouting.

"Nancy, come out! I have something to tell you. "

He was so shameless.

Olivia was very angry and was about to stop him, but I walked out of the office.

"Nancy, go in, I'll stop him. "

I shook my head, asking Olivia in. Then I looked at Zed expressionlessly.
