The academy takes students of all Fae orders, as long they are 1000yo and above, except humans that have to be 20yo, though they also need to be strong enough to get in, and while the royals and the nobles pay tuition, the peasants can get scholarships to get in, unless they are really, really rich, like in the case of big merchants.
From 1000 to 1000 years, the VHA accepts a handful picked group of 10 demons, 25 dwarves, 15 giants, 100 humans (20 year olds), and 20 children from houses that were banished in the Great War for rectification. It's not VHA that picks them, VHA sends the counted invitations to the leaders of these kinds, in a one-way exchange program, and their leaders pick the children that are most befitting.
It's a total of 150 exchange students and 20 students that will be trying rectification back into the Kingdom that they once belonged to.
When they get picked, a spoken person of VHA goes to them and bring them in through a portal. Then, they are taken to the underground spatial med-wing, for a throughout cleaning, just to make sure they won't bring any unknown bacteria or diseases to the Faes. Only after five hours of it, are they put together and taken over to the communal lounge of VHA, where they are separated into the four main houses of the school and taken to their dorms.
