On the following day, Cornelia came to her and she was furious for reasons that had nothing to do with Sera, but as always, she planned on throwing all her bad emotions in the youngest member of the Coven. She has been doing that for years, she didn't see any reason to stop now. Waking Sera up with a buck of freezing water, beginning her anger tantrum.
Shouting at the girl, cursing her, humiliating her, spilling all her hatred raw and strong, and when Sera didn't flinch as she used to, she lost it. Summoning her black leather whip, she took her granddaughter by the neck and threw her from her small bed to the stone wall on the other side of the room. Right where Sera's personal bookshelves were, making her hit her back hard.
And the pain she say in the girl's face only made her more satisfied, like an invitation for her to beat the girl even more. So, she did. But Sera wasn't having, not this time.
Screaming, she used her telekinesis for the first time in front of her grandmother, throwing the elder witch to the clean wall and her whip far away from her reach, "Enough!" The girl screamed. "I've had enough. I've been trying to hold back all this years, but I'm bloody done. Done," she struggled to get on her feat, her conflicted emotions slowing down her healing. "You ain't tearing my flesh anymore. I've already collected enough scars for a lifetime!"
But her grandmother didn't listen, too stunned with the display of telekinesis, something she had seen in books only.
"You lied!" She accused.
"You lied, bloody fucking hell, that's all you've ever done. If I lied it's because I learned from you," she snapped.
"Janet!" Her grandmother screamed for one of the guarding witches outside. "Kill this bitch. She can't stay alive anymore. It's too dangerous. Too damn dangerous. She's holding me on the wall, I can't move "
And for the first time, Sera met the witch who's name she has heard for ages, pale and with short dark hair and brown eyes, the first person she met who wasn't part of her family. "Yes, Moon Crone."
"Moon what?" Sera scoffed, clenching her teeth. "Whatever," she summoned her spiritual long dagger Allen, that she made of obsidian, and spiritualized it by realizing the wish of one of the wandering spirits of the Castle to be made into a weapon, which she bonded with.
"Summoning?" Cornelia gasped. "You dirty little slutty witch," she cursed, her eyes turning slightly red with the anger. "Kill her, Janet!"
"Yes, Moon Crone!" The witch said again, and when she turned to meet Sera's, she felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "You're dead!"
"Oh?" Sera grinned, even though she was about to cry inside. "You're talking to a mirror now, sweetie?" Scoffing, she conjured her earth magic, making the earth underneath their feet shake with the earthquake. "Come at me if you can."
"You little-" Janet ran to her in a split of a second, blade of air magic in hands. But before she could even try to hit her, Sera was out of the door, taking the opportunity to vanish.
Using her lighting magic to fade quickly away from the guarding witches spread around the underground floors, she pushed everyone out of the way and far from her with her telekinesis, hitting them before they could even see who did that. She didn't want to kill anybody, especially not her family members, definitely not any witches of the Coven. But she couldn't let herself get harmed by them either.
She threw all thoughts of exploring aside and ran for her life. Either she ran away right now, or she would die by their hands. There was no way she was going to let that happen either.
When she reached the first ground floor of the Castle, she didn't stop running. She had studied all maps available in the sacred library, from the maps of the Nightbloom Castle to the maps of the village and the Kingdom. "I ain't got any other option," she told herself. "All other places in the Kingdom would burn me alive from being a dark witch. To get out of this prison, I have to go by the woods. Moon Goddesses above, don't let me be killed!"
Then she ran. Throwing everyone to the stone walls as she passed by them, straight up to the third ground floor, the place where it has the entry to the side of the Castle that is turned to the woods. So, she ignored the amazing gothic decorations that she dreamed of seeing, all the paintings and furniture.
Seraphina ignored it all and ran with the long dagger in hands, and when she was about to go to the balcony that she intended to jump from, three witches surrounded her, as if they were waiting for her to get there, and she cursed. Knowing that she would have to fight them to get through the balcony. And she was already exhausted to use the telekinesis again, as it takes a whole lot of her, and she has never ran so much in her life.
"Out of my way!" She hissed, controlling her breathing.
"Keizer bitch, what is a green witch like yourself doing in our territory?" The tall blond witch asked with a dreadful grin.
"First of all, I'm a half-breed. Second of all, I'm Tessa Nightbloom's fourth daughter with Louis Keizer, and my name is Seraphina Nightbloom, thank you very much. And lastly," Sera gave them a wide vicious grin, and embed her long dagger in shadow magic and poison, which gets stronger when put in contact with obsidian, "It's my territory!"
Seeing the display of dark magic, the three witches flinched for a second, wondering if what the girl said was right, but they kept their disgusted demeanor knowing that it wouldn't change anything. "You ain't leaving this place!"
"And who are you to decide that?" In a blink of an eye, Sera was in front of the brown haired witch with glasses, holding her by her neck, and without a second thought, she stabbed the witch with a long sword right on the chest, but purposely avoiding the heart.
"Violet!" The blond and the black-haired witches screamed.
"If you moved, I'll slice her neck open!" Sera threatened, making them freeze.
