Mahnoor Lorelei Bianchini's pov

"Koizume, Huckleberry, and Attenborough," she scowled. Medora Katherine Koizume, Thaddeus Balor Huckleberry, Orpheus Griffin Attenborough, my ex-friends and my ex-boyfriend, the first two the remaining wind elementalists and the latter the hawk trash. "Now I'm a freaking target."

"A target?" Seth, the phoenix boy, asked confused.

"The two psychos will target me," she cried, pointed to me and Nikko and I kept looking at anyone but them, trying to recover from how she called them leftovers.

"Why would they?" Sophie asked just as confused. "Don't they only hate each other or something?"

"Because, Nikko hates Orpheus and his group's guts since ever, and Mahnoor hates them because she was close friends with them when she dated Orpheus for three years, until he fucking cheated on her with Odessa, her best friend then, and learned they have been dating for two years while he was dating her for three. And their friends all knew it. That was 5 years ago, and it's been hell ever fucking since. But more than anything, Nikko and Mahnoor hate one another, just like their families did, and they will both come for my throat on this class," she growled exasperatedly fast, almost rapping.

"Girl!" Odessa hissed angered. "What's your problem?"

"Shut up, bitch, I'm the leader of this group, not you," Esmeray yelled and I couldn't help laughing again, and they all stared and glared at me again. "Oh, I'm so screwed."

"I'm not going to go after your throat, Angelini," I mocked amused. "I have no problems with you, and you aside, I'm not one known for dealing with trash that aren't even worthy an ounce of my time. The only ones in my line of fire are the other three groups for obvious reasons, I couldn't give less of a shit about those scums that you were unlucky to be paired with," I said it all with a condescending smug, looking at her and no one else. "My targets are the Hetherington spawns and bat boy's sidekick, the later purely out of association."

"Petty bitch," Nero gave me a middle finger.

"Why don't you take that finger and stick it on,"

"Language, Bianchini!" Mr. Leclercq gasped above my voice and I folded my arms over my chest, annoyed. "Gods, what's wrong with your class? You bicker as if you were actually the age you look like, instead of being more than two centuries older than that thanks to your stasis, you and bat boy and girl more than anyone else, you've both been in stasis for five hundred years before getting out of it and allowed to grow physically from 5 and on. The only ones who can actually act like this here are the two phoenixes, who are little if compared to you."

"That's not what counts, here what counts is our physical age," I growled annoyed.

"Not in my class, and don't be a smartass on me, red," he snapped firmly.

"That nickname makes no sense," I countered.

"Your hair is red," he scoffed.

I gasped, "My hair is not red, my hair is mahogany!"

"That's a shade of red to me," ugh.

"It's between red and brown, it's not red, it's mahogany, mahogany is mahogany, red is red, and my hair is not red," I hissed frustrated.

"To me it is, so, red it is, red," he purred just to piss me off, and I clenched my fists and bit my bottom lip not to say something that might piss him off and get me on his bad side for good. "I bet your scales are red."

"Wrong bet," I snapped, unable to hold it.

"Mhm, and what would it be your unique ability?"

I steeled up, glaring at him, "That's none of your business."

"Now it is!"

A familiar voice spoke from above us, and when we all looked up, we found headmaster Lemoine up there, fire wings out, until she landed between us and the group of students, smiling warmly to her twin kids, then turning to us, her warmness turning into mischievousness.

"The Europe Kingdom's Royals are having an urgent meeting with all the hybrids in power such as your older brother, Mah," she insists in calling me by my nickname, "to learn their unique ability, and begin to study war strategies to make use of them in the war that will come in the future. So, starting now, professor Théo-Yohan will begin to try training you all in a way you will also use those unique abilities. That goes for you and you," she pointed to me and Nikko, "you," then to Soleil, "you," to Nero, "and the other hybrids in your class, and on years 15 and 16."

"So, which of you wanna start spilling the tea? I think everyone has been the most curious about the hybrids in this class in special," Leclercq purred, clapping his hands, a mischievous grin on that gave me creeps to say the least. "Bianchini? Hetherington twins? Hashimoto? Lemoine twins? Montpelier? Di Giovanni?"

I couldn't help feeling a sicker feeling creeping inside of me with the idea of revealing my power to them, especially given the power I have. Even more when all eyes came to me before going to Nikko when I avoided their gazes, and I felt less suspicious when Nikko and Soleil remained silent.

So, the phoenixes sighed after sharing a gaze with their mother, an encouraging one, "We should go first, since I think we might be one of the reasons why war may come quicker than what people thought, and in the next 3 to 4 years," Sophia spoke, and I couldn't help but respect her for it right now. "My unique ability is spatial magic, it can be used to open portals, rifts for space storage, and I think that if I receive training, I could also use for attack!"

"Mine is astral projection, I can control my own soul to get out of my body and wander around, just as I can force the soul of other people out of their bodies momentarily to make them unconscious, as long as they aren't as strong or stronger than me," Seth opened up.

"Now that's fucking cool," Leclercq clapped his hands excited. "Come on, don't be shy, share yours, kids. It's for the greater good."

"Why don't you share yours?" I hissed defensively. "You are a hybrid yourself."

He rolled his eyes, "Fine with me. In fact, it'll be better to let you know about my unique ability, because I will be using it on you to train you," he grinned maniacally, looking directly at me. "I'm a shadow wielder," shivers ran down my spine, "as it's a common ability of demons, it'll be useful in your training, three five dragons in special."

"Another reason why he's the best at his job here in the academy, there's no one better for this training than Théo," the headmaster purred amused.

"Now, follow suit," he told us. "Tell your abilities."

I refuse, and by how Nikko tensed next to me, I bet he'll refuse too.

"I'll go then," Sienna Montpelier, my unwanted teammate took a step forward and we all turned to look at her. "It's not as special as yours, and it's not a combat ability," she said, skin blushing, "but it can be of use for information," she pointed to Seth, "not necessarily like his, but I bet you can make use of it," she pressed her lips together, "I can speak with animals, all animals, and I can make them talk about things they've seen happening."

Alright, I don't feel that bad for picking her now.
