Mahnoor Lorelei Bianchini's pov
※※※
I told you, I could've killed all of you if I wanted," I stared at my nails again, "it would just take me a thought to make time stop so I could take your lives, even if you can spawn back alive, you would still die in the moment." Then I turned to the headmaster who was staring at me in shock, jaw on the ground, "If you doubt it, ask my parents and Ric, they are the only ones who know about it."
"Can you turn back on time?" She asked, hunger for power blooming on her eyes.
Only if to make minor changes, nothing that could have affected the world, the lives of many, or that would have played apart in a bigger event of the world that has to happen. "No," I lied confidently.
"Can you freeze an army?" She asked instead, annoyed.
It would cost all of my energy and consume a piece of my soul, and probably put me into coma depending on the size of the army, but yes, I'm confident I could. "Only small squadrons," I lied to her again.
Sigh, "How small?"
"About a 100," I made it look like I was conflicted. "It'll take a lot of me though."
"The latter can be handled," she brushed aside, just like I knew she would.
That's one of the main reasons I never wanted to let them know my power, because I knew they would want to use me without a second thought, without giving a shit about what overusing my powers could do to me. I've long been past the stupid mindset of being self-sacrificing, I'll only sacrifice myself for my family, nobody else. Being a good girl never took me any-fucking-where.
"I can also only manipulate time if I genuinely want it, trying to force me won't make me use it, it'll actually shut my power down, I've tested that before with my family, so, the only thing that will make me use it is my own desire of doing such," I purred and for a second I could tell that the headmaster got angry about it, but she hid it quickly.
"Does it has a limit of power? How much can you use it? Can you use it on those stronger than you?" She pressed down, like I knew she would. "Can you use it as a dragon?"
I stared at my nails again, not liking what staring at her makes me feel, "I freeze time and the people in it, headmaster, it doesn't matter how strong the person in the place I am is. Though, yes, freezing time in a place with many people stronger than me takes a bigger tool of me," and of my soul, the more I used the more my mind loses its protection, it's dangerous for me, that's probably why I'm being attacked by those nightmares, that are way too fucking vivid to be just silly nightmares. Avoiding my eyes from theirs, I stared up, feeling sick, "It's... not the most safe kind of magic to the user," I left it ambiguous.
"No wonder, every catastrophic type of power takes a tool on the user," the professor said as if to tranquil me in some weird way.
In a way it didn't work, "I don't know for sure the answer for your other two questions, but I can, yes, use it as a dragon, though not for as long as I can in my changeling form," I finally looked at her again. "To use it I need to chanel my magic through my entire body, and my dragon body is... a bit bigger than normal dragons, so it also takes a bit longer to use, whereas in my changeling body it's quicker."
"Training will help on that," she said and turned to the professor. "The Hetheringtons' catastrophic abilities are dangerous to use in class, it could harm the others, but I want you to make Bianchini reach her limits, all limits possible. If she can sharpen all of her abilities and mix them together, it'll be of utmost importance for us in the war, she could go to the front and open terrene for our strongest warriors. Make her, the Hetheringtons', my kids, and the other two dragons take extra classes together, we'll need them to have a good chemistry together in battle. If we can do that, they my became a crucial unit. The Hetheringtons' and Bianchini chemistry even more than the others."
Ugh. See? That's why I didn't want that.
"You want me to use it constantly? On every class?" I gasped, genuinely shocked.
"Yes," she stated firmly. "I don't see the problem. The more you use it, the better you will be at it. I know what I'm doing. It's for the best of our kinds, Mahnoor Bianchini!"
"I don't think that's a good idea," I hissed.
"Leave the thinking with me, I am millenniums more experience in this."
"I don't trust you with my life," I snapped defensively.
Her jaw dropped, "What?"
"I don't trust you with my life, headmaster. Not one bit!"
"This is not about you, Bianchini," she hissed, rising her voice, clearly pissed off. "What's your life in front of the entire world? We are talking about billions. What's one life compared to that? What? You think you're a God? Even if you die, you should be grateful for dying to save us."
"I couldn't give two shits about that," I mocked. "I only care about my life. Besides, your lives? Really? Aren't you a phoenix? What are you scared of? It's not like you will die, or any full or half phoenixes will either, even less the mates of your kind. In fact, I'm starting to doubt your motivations. Who knows? You might be ready to sacrifice all of us just to get revenge in them for what they did to your family."
She froze, until she didn't, and before I could even blink, I felt my face burning from the slap she gave me with her hand that had a ring on, making a cut on my right cheekbone, "How dare you?" She hissed.
"Did I hit a nerve?" I hissed back, feeling really fucking angry.
Then she had the nerve to hit the left side of my cheek, harder, and I felt a cut on the side as well, "Are you still talking?" She yelled furious, her eyes burning like fire.
