After leaving the gold shop, Noah's phone buzzed. Pulling it out of his pocket, he saw a message from Amelia.
Hey, do you want to hang out? I'm kind of bored. Was wondering if you're free
Noah smirked at the screen, tapping out a quick response.
Yeah, sure. Where do you want to go?
A response came almost instantly.
I'm not sure… I was hoping you could think of something.
Noah thought for a moment before replying.
Alright. I'll bring Emily along too. Is that okay?
Of course! I miss Emily so much!
Cool. I'll pick you up in two hours. Get ready.

Smiling, Noah tucked his phone away and headed toward his parents' house to pick up Emily.
"Sweetheart!" Caroline greeted as he stepped inside the house. "What brings you here in the middle of the day?"
"I'm here to pick up Emily," Noah replied, his tone casual. "I'm taking her to the funfair."
