Skylar's POV
Before Alec's thirty minutes expired, I hurried to the library and grabbed the book titled 'The History of Shadow Tomb' again.
I might not understand the texts entirely but maybe I could figure out what language that was or maybe if I stared at it long enough, something would pop out. Or maybe I was just being stubborn.
A heavy sigh escaped me as I leaned back, rubbing my temples.
"Do you really think you would magically become fluent overnight?" Salony snickered in my head.
"Don't start." I muttered under my breath, even though no one was around to hear me. Or so I thought.
Zade was here as well. Of course, it was a place he frequented. When I entered, he greeted me with a slight nod. After that, he didn't glance up, didn't say a word.
But just as I was about to sink back into the The History of Shadow Tomb, a shadow passed over my table. I looked up, only to find Alec sitting across from me.
