Skylar's POV
Seven days. He hadn't come to this for seven days. After our fight in front of his office, he decided to leave me alone. No, actually, he left the whole damn pack.
Aveline said he had something important to deal with in a neighboring pack and he would stay there for a week. Today was the seventh day. Thursday again. The last Thursday he left, and now he was back. We missed the tasks of a week. Thanks to him. We already didn't have much time… and now this skipping. He didn't seem to care at all.
"Now we know why people called him ruthless." Salony chimed in.
"I hate him." The words slipped out before I could think twice. It felt good to voice it, even if it was just to myself.
Today, I decided to spend most of my time in the room. It felt better this way. I didn't want to run into him. After lunch, I was lying on the bed, trying to take a nap. But I couldn't.
