What the hell had just happened? I wasn't sure how long I'd stood outside, staring at the sky, wondering if that had actually happened or if I'd slipped into some kind of fugue state and hallucinated the entire thing.
I was so confused.
I didn't feel this way for someone I didn't like, anyone who meant nothing to me, no matter how hot that man was, or how green his eyes were, or how soft his lips were, or how low and raspy his voice was when he spoke.
Oh my god.
My face screwed up into irritation at myself. As much as I wanted to pretend I'd imagined the whole thing, I could still taste him on my tongue, my lips tingling still. This wasn't my first kiss, for goodness sake, yet I felt my body on fire.
"Harley!"
Everything happened at once. Sylus's hand wrapped around the back of my neck as I slammed his body right against the door, my breathing ragged. Dammit, I'd thought it was a random someone. I was out of it.
