Sylus stared at me for what seemed like forever, his eyes unmoving from mine and his lips parted.

Why was he gazing at me like that? It was beginning to make me nervous, and I pulled back, turning to walk back to my seat, but his hand wrapped around my wrist, jerking me back into the position I once was, my hair hitting his face.
"Didn't you have a plan to tell me about?"
I blinked. "And I asked if you wanted to know." Jesus, my heart was racing, and I really wanted to step back.
"Then go ahead," he said. "Tell me. I want to know."
He still wouldn't let go of my wrist, holding me in place as if he knew I would step back if he let go. I cleared my throat, saying, "Well, since this has already been made public and they are asking questions, why don't we give them what they want?"
Sylus tilted his head at me. "Give them what they want? How do you mean?"
"We make the marriage public, simple."
