The men, seeing their ladies doing well with Briar, decided to give them some space and have a man-to-man chat.
So, they excused themselves, and the ladies didn't mind. They shooshed them away.
When the men left, Briar was in the room with five women excluding herself.
Logan had four best friends, and they came with their partners, making it four ladies. And then, adding Raine, they became five and with her; it was six.
"Are you faring well, adjusting to your new status?" Janet, Wellington's partner, asked teasingly.
Briar blushed when she heard that. She shyly looked at Janet and responded coyly in a mosquito voice, "I am," and her response made the other four ladies laugh knowingly.
"Hehe, Logan is a nice man. He will treat you well as long as you treat him well."
Briar nodded, agreeing to that.
"Are the children fine? Are they adapting to this new situation?" Mike's partner asked curiously, her tone laced with worry.
