"Aniki! Behind you!!!" Rei shouted, his brown eyes widened in panic.
Kal heard Rei's shout and turned to look back only to receive a power punch to his face.
Although the punch was strong enough to destroy the nearby boulders with just the shockwave and air pressure, it manages to only tilt his head slightly.
Rei's mouth nearly fell to the ground, seeing Kal take the punch of a Tier 6 Orgre to the face and swat his arm away like a fly.
He saw Kal punching the Orge, launching the monster hundreds of meters deep into the forest only to appear above him in a pure burst of speed and dugging both his feet knee-deep in the poor monter's gut.
The ground caved in by the tremendous pressure, getting destroyed in the fifty-diameter range, leaving behind a passed-out sorry ass of a monster.
Kal casually picked up the Orge and approached Rei.
"Alive one should worth more." He said.
"Aniki… are you really not a God?" Rei ignored the comment and asked, his face dazed in shock.
"I'm not a god. How many times do I have to tell you." Kal replied with a fed-up tone. Clearly, it was not the first time the young otherworlder had asked the very question in their month long stay together.
"But you don't even eat, sleep, or… or"
"Or?" Kal asked, amused knowing that the young boy was embarrassed to utter an 'uncool' word.
"Or poop." He finally said making Kal snap in laughter.
"Aniki can you be serious?" Rei spoke with annoyance.
"How can I when you get embarrassed to say 'shit' like some middle schooler not wanting to speak vulgar words in front of their crush. Wait a minute you are a middle schooler." Kal said and laughed even louder.
"Agh!" Rei groaned frustratingly. "God! You're so annoying."
"Now you sound like the said crush." Rei's gaze turned deadly at those words.
"Sorry sorry, I'll stop," Kal said finally stopping, raising his arm in surrender.
"Geez! Can't even take a joke, as expected of a middle schooler." Kal said before quickly continuing. "Anyways to answer your question I eat and sleep.
"But you don't need to!"
"Yes, I still do for pleasure."
"And that's what gods do! Even the dragons need to eat and they are the closest being to gods. Demi-gods aren't an exception either." Rie said with an intensity that made Kal almost sweat.
"Chill out, I'm no god, and they are already banished by the Akashic Record a thousand years ago."
"Yes, but Aniki is an otherworlder. You could be a god in your world. Maybe even an Outergod from Lovecraftian mythology."
"You know Lovecraftian mythology but not DC?" Kal asked incredulous look. "No wonder you couldn't realise how OP your skill was."
Hearing those words the young otherworlder's face burned in embarrassment.
"Hehe! In my defence, even the people who summoned me here couldn't realise how strong my skill is." Rei replied, rubbing his head shyly.
Kal became speechless, it made him remember of time Rei told him about skill.

Flashback~
.
"So what's the so-called trash skill, again?" Kal asked as they exited the dungeon.
Rei didn't answer instead he handed his status card to Kal who froze as he read the skill and its description.
"You sure it's a trash skill?" He asked, facing the nervous teen.
"Yes."
"Have you ever tried to use it?"
"No! My mother always said it is a very bad thing. Why would I ever try it?"
"To know its effects, of course."
"Isn't the description very clear? Why would I ever try it."
"No, it isn't clear, you idiot." Kal sighed with an exasperated look. "What does it say?" he continued pointing at the status card.
"Gambler: Let you gamble and place bets." Rei read the status card, not getting what Kal was saying.
Kal sighed as he asked. "Why would such a thing will ever become a skill, have you ever heard of another skill that helps with everyday necessities like eating, drinking, and sleeping?"
"No…" Rei answered, still not getting Kal's point.
"Listen, there can never be skills like that because having them or not having them doesn't change anything. You will eat when you starve whether you have an eating skill or not, same with walking and sleeping. A bird doesn't have a flying skill but it still can fly because it is in its biology." Kal paused here, looking at Rei to see if he's following.
Once he saw Rei is, he continued. "Same with gambling. There shouldn't be a skill like that because whether you have it or not you can gamble and place bets. If it was increasing your luck then it was one thing but since it isn't, the vague misleading description means something else."
"What does Aniki think it means?" Rei asked once he digested Kal's words.
"Aniki?"
"Yes, it me- means big brother in my native language. I-if you don't la- like it I won't call you that."
"Nah, it's fine, I don't mind. Anyway I was saying that if what I think is correct you got the main ability of a very OP guy."
"Which guy?" Rei questioned with hopeful eyes.
"I'll tell you that later, let's try testing the skill first."
"How?" Rei asked with a grin of excitement.
"Let's place a bet on a game of rock-paper-scissors," Kal replied.
"Okay, but what?" Rei questioned, getting a grin from Kal which made him nervous.
'I don't like that smile.' He thought, feeling a bit nervous.
"Let's bet whoever loses will have his ten Magicules permanently transferred to the winner." Kal proposed and Rei hesitantly nodded though he couldn't hide the flash of excitement that passed in his brown eyes. Rei finally understood what Kal thinks the nature of his skill truly is.
"Rock"
"Paper"
""Scissors"" they chanted and threw their hands simultaneously.
"Haha! I won!!!" Kal laughed but stopped when he felt a weird feeling.
He quickly brought out his status card and saw his Magicule raised by ten points.
'He really has the core skill of Hardcore Leveling Warrior.' Kal thought as he looked Rei in contemplation. 'But to what extent…'

Flashback ends~
.
After that Rei and I placed many other bets to check the limit of his skill. Once we did a thorough check up, we managed to find that the bets on things exceeding the rank of the skill gets failed. There is also a limit to how many stats can be placed in a single bet. And skills cannot be placed in a bet… at least for now since the skill is only a rare one.
Once Rie increases it to a Unique or even Ultimate rank, the restrictions should lessen or completely disappear.
After I knew how great his skill was and how high his potential was I decided to form a party with him.
"I'm done selling the Orge." Rei's voice broke my thoughts. I looked up to see him coming out of the Guild's building.
"Where to next?" He asked.
"To rest, I guess. We have been in the forest for three days straight." I replied before my eyes fell on a particular building.
"Ohh! By the way what's that building? Why is it so noisy inside?" I questioned, pointing at the huge colosseum like building.
