Rimuru was having another great day. He alongside his cute students was eating at a famous Ramen stall blissfully.
The day was peaceful like he loved them to be. No Orcs marching towards his nation, no dragons attacking the city, no loli Demon Lord asking for a fight and most importantly no deadline to submit the assignment. Everything was perfect.
"Then! I slashed it my Fire SWORD!!!" Well, everything other than Kenya's loud storytelling.
Rimuru turned to look at Shizu-san's students now his own. He can't help but feel proud of how far they have come.
"Hmm? What is it Chloe-chan?" Rimuru questioned the loli, feeling her pull his shirt.
"Sensei…"
"Yes?" Rimuru encouraged her with a smile seeing her hesitate, but Chloe didn't speak.
Whatever was bothering her, she hadn't come in terms with.
So as great of a teacher Rimuru is, he prepared to give her a motivational life lesson.
"Listen Chloe-chan, in life you need to be decisive and- Aree~" Rimuru's speech got interrupted by a sudden tremor. He turned his head to the south, feeling the spike in Magicules around a hundred and so meters away.
'Isn't it where Adventure Guild's located? Great Sage can you tell what's happening there.'
*Affirmative! Analysing… Analysis Complete! Reporting: Some Individual is attacking a barrier made of Magicules.*
"Sensei…?" Chloe questioned softly seeing his lost look. She and the other children also noticed the tremor, making them curious.
Rimuru turned back to look at his cute students. He sighed before patting Chloe's head. "You guys head back to school first, Sensei needs to check what's causing the tremors," he said.
The five students nodded as Rimuru called. "Ranga!" Immediately a dark wolf with horns jumps out of his shadow.
"My lord, you summoned?" The intimidating wolf asks in an imposing voice though his wagging tail lessens the impact.
"Ranga, take the kids safely back to the school," Rimuru ordered as bat-like wings unfolded from his back.
"As you command, my lord!" Ranga shouted immediately lifting the children onto his back with wind magic.
Rimuru nodded, preparing to take off, but before he could Chloe spoke something.
"Sensei!" She shouts " You won't also leave us, right?"
Rimuru looked at her face filled with worry, shared by her fellow students.
'Geez! How did I not notice their worries?' Rimuru thought.
*Answering: You are a natural airhead.* Great Sage's voice sounded in his mind, making a tick appear on his face.
'Did I ask you?' Rimuru questioned but this time no reply came.
'And now you won't speak' He sighed before focusing on his students.
He looked at them, giving them his best smile."Don't worry you guys, you won't be getting rid of me anytime soon!" He said, getting the brightest smile in return.
With those smiles, he launched himself towards the Adventure Guilds, missing the disappointed look that flashed in Chloe's face.
'So you are planning to leave us after some time, stupid sensei…'

Scene Break~
.
Rimuru arrived at the Coliseum-like building, the first thing he noticed was the twin beam of lasers heading towards the people running outside the building.
He immediately intercepted them with his gluttony.
*Analysing… Analysis complete. Skill Aquired: Solar Heatwave.*
"Neat," Rimuru muttered. 'Great Sage, can you tell what's making him like that?' He asked pointing at Kal who was tightly clutching his head with his eyes glowing crimson.
*Scanning… Scan complete. Analysing… Analysis complete. Reporting: Target's sensory system has been overloaded causing him to temporarily fall in an agitated state.*
Rimuru nodded calmly. 'How do we fix it?'
*Answering: There are seven ways to calm his agitated states and nine ways to neutralise him.* Great Sage immediately answered.
'Tell me the fastest one.'
*The fastest way is to use the Intrinsic skill: Ultra Sound Waves to further overload the target's sensory to neutralise him. Note: It has a 37% chance of the target surviving and getting unconscious.*
'Umu umu, great, grea-As if!!! I asked for the best way to calm him down not kill him!' Rimiuru shouted.
*Please specify better in future.* Great Sage's reply made Rimuru almost fall from the sky.
*Answering: By using the Body Double skill, I can deploy two miniature clones of yourself near his earbuds and lessen the number of frequencies his senses are picking with the Intrinsic skill Ultra Sound Waves.*
'You can do that?'
*Affirmative*
'Then please do so.'
*Understood. The time needed for alteration of the skills is two minutes and forty-seven seconds* Rimuru nodded, sending two clones to help the people safely retreat before approaching the Adventurer fighting Kal below.
The first thing he did was to save an Adventurer from being blown to pieces.
"Thank you." Rimuru waved the thankful Adventurer off before casually sending multiple threads using his Intrinsic skills: Sticky Thread and Steel Thread. Both completely useless as Kal shrugged off the steel ones and broke sticky ones with zero to no effort.
Rimuru didn't get discouraged by the sight and started sending different attacks at him. And after one Avatar test later Rimuru found the most effective skill against Kal other than Ultra Sonic Waves that is.
[Dark Thunder] Rimuru shouted for the tenth time. Stunning Kal with the massive bolt of black lightning.
It lasted barely two seconds before it lost its effect as Kal moved again, approaching the tank like adventurer and sending him flying through multiple walls with a single punch.
*Warning* Great Sage's voice sounded in Rimuru's head, warning of Kal's next action.
Rimuru zoomed towards him, reaching just in time to intercept Kal's feet from hitting the ground with the force of a nuclear bomb.
*Crack* Rimuru heard his Intrinsic skill: Body Armour break. First time since he got it, not even Souie's sword could damage these hard scales.
"What. Is. This. Crazy. Strength." He gritted his teeth, feeling the imaginary bones in his leg turning dust. He pumped more Magicules in his feet, trying to push Kal's feet away, but to no avail.
'Great Sage do something!'
*Understood* Great Sage immediately complied. Two clones popped from Rimuru's back clad in black lightning.
They attacked Kal with lightning, making him stumble back.
"Phew~" Rimuru breathed relieved, but it didn't last long the burn marks on Kal immediately healed under the sun, and with his body adapting to black lightning he shrugged off the stunt effect in a single second again. And the moment he, Kal lunged at Rimuru making him clumsy defend as he wasn't prepared to deal with such speed. Not before Great Sage helped him.
Kal and Rimuru exchanged hundreds of bouts in a single second with Rimuru keeping up with Kal's pure speed due to Great Sage speeding up his brain's processing speed.
Even then, it was useless no matter how fast he became, Rimuru could not make Kal stay down for even a fraction of a second. He was just too durable.
The Black Thunder also lost its effect after continuous usage.
Kal's body under the sun was almost impossible to take down. What can't kill him or cripple him instantly, he can heal in seconds with the help of the sun. And with his nigh-invincible body, it was hard to injure him let alone cripple or kill.
The continuous healing from the Black Thunder also made him faster, stronger and tougher something that didn't go unnoticed by Rimuru.
If Great Sage hadn't informed him beforehand about the speciality of Kal's body, Rimiuru would be panicking by now.
*Notice! The alteration of the skills is complete.*
"Finally!!!" Rimuru shouted his voice annoying Kal even more, but he couldn't care less now.
'Great Sage deploy them.'
*Understood*
Immediately two small slimes left Rimuru's body, and latched onto Kal's ears. Kal instantly raised his arm to tear them away from his ears but he suddenly froze. The crimson light in his eyes slowly fading as a serene expression replaced his agitated one.
"Hey, you alright?" Rimuru asked, making Kal look at him.
.
Kal's POV~
.
I looked at my opponent lying on the ground, his magnificent scales crushed from the slight force I applied in my attack.
I sighed looking at the crowd showing different emotions, my mind raced with possibilities and then… it happened. Suddenly my hearing went numb as hundreds of different odours entered my nostrils.
My face instinctively scrunched from the overwhelming smell, but I couldn't even process it as my numb ears buzzed before sounds started flickering.
At first, it was just the arena but soon it expanded unfolding a bigger world before me. The noises made by the whole Orario-no whole nation of the United Federation entered my ears.
And they started ringing, my eyes squeezed shut, my scrunched face twisted in agony. And before I realised I was kneeling with both arms clutching my ear.
After that, it didn't take long for my sanity, whatever control I had over myself to slip away. It was chipped away by millions, billions and trillions of voices ringing in my ear.
And once I lost myself to the voices everything passed by like a flashes of shuttering camera light.
.
.
.
At some point the voices suddenly stopped, everything went silent, the voices, the noises, the laughs, and the cries. It all went still.
I felt peace like never before. I never knew quietness could be so… so beautiful. I can feel a newfound appreciation for quietness now.
Though the overwhelming number of odours didn't let the moment become perfect as I had to stop breathing to stop smelling them.
"Hey, you alright?" A voice interrupted my peace. I looked up to see a boy or is it a girl?
The person before me had weird sky-blue hair, and a feminine face that screamed girl but his posture and voice said otherwise.
"Thank you," I said. "Did I hurt someone" I continued looking around at the destruction I caused.
"…No one died if you are worried." The femboy answered after what looked like an awefully deep contemplation.
"So no one got hurt, good!" I said, feeling less guilty by this one sentence.
"Wait a minute when did I say no one got hurt, I said no one died." The femboy clarified, making me freeze.
"What?" I grasped, the guilt crashing back like a tsunami.
"Hey hey hey, no need to feel so down! It's not your fault! You didn't want to hurt anyone." The femboy said with his hand waving wildly, probably panicked at the expression I'm currently making. Though clumsy, his consoling attempts did help.
"You think so?" I questioned which he reassured with a smile.
"Yeah, I know someone like you who didn't want to hurt anyone, but his situation and skill forced him to."
"Really?"
"Yeah, he… his people were forced to starve, so he had to take extreme measures to feed them." The femboy said making me fell in a silent contemplation.
