Ava's POV:
I knew his dad and also his stepmom, who treated him nicely, but I had no idea his real mom was alive and that Manuella was his sister.
"Are you trying to fool me right now?" I scolded, and he shook his head in denial.
"I always felt close to Manuella; we were good friends and nothing intimate. I thought of her as my sister; recently our parents met, and it was confirmed she was my sister. Besides, Manuella is engaged to a musician," he explained, and my brows furrowed.
I had seen the pictures Yan showed me; they were so intimate... Was it all just edited?
"I have been going through a tough time, Ava. My stepmother and mom don't get along. It's hard," his tone broke, and I could tell he was very shattered.
This was a very messed up situation. "What about your dad?" I asked, and he shrugged. I could tell he was feeling bad.
